    I enjoy your photo-walks and it doesn't fail, after watching your photo-walk videos, the next day I’m out in the park looking for compositions.

      I'm going to try and get back to vlogging. It's fun and many have said it was very helpful sharing my thought process.

    Even the ducks want to be in a Rob Trek photo-walk!

    Very cool. Ive been to Huntley many many times but never parked on the rt1 side. I always parked near telegraph rd which ends up ending on the other side of the pond. Im not sure you can get to the other side from telegraph. I normally bring my daughter to scooter while i take photo's

    You handled 7:58 well with that King of the hill Boomhauer talker. With just a "heh. I most likely would have cracked up

    Well Rob, I'm afraid you're screwed. After the last couple videos, you can never use the "I'm not that great a photographer" card again. Hearing you describe your thought when taking the shot..... priceless..... Thanks for sharing!!!

    People who only go to places during sunrise or sunsets miss a lot of good shooting oportunities. The light on a forest during mid day can be really beautiful too.

    • @RobTrek
      @RobTrek  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll have to try doing mid day more. I find it challenging but that's the fun of it!

    The frog & ant photos are superb ;) The extension tubes works very well with the 75mm focal

    The couple walking, and making hand gestures looks like one opportunity missed. You may have been one step behind anyway.
    One nice thing about mid-day shooting with all those tall trees, your gonna have some shadows and light behind the leaves going on. Of course I still fall for that beautiful backlight which the human eye can see, but the best camera sensor or film, simply cannot replicate. You take the shot and hope it is close to what you are seeing. It's the best we can do. The walk in the park -- another fine day. Take care, Loren lorenschwiderski smugmug

    Just wish i could use pro capture low its always grayed out on my em1x
    Your sure making it hard to save for the 150-400mm$$$
    If i sell a bunch of gear i think i can get the 150-400mm

    • @RobTrek
      @RobTrek  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why is your pro capture low grayed out?

    Hi Rob, thank you for another informative V,log. Did you use the histogram or live view to determine EV comp? I tend to bracket in 0.3EV step,s, use the best in post, except in very HDR shot,s, recent shot into the sun minus 4.3EV was about right, slight len,s flare add,s to the scene, in my opinion.

    • @RobTrek
      @RobTrek  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just look through the evf and then review the picture to see if it looks the way I want. I primarily don't want to clip the highlights and I don't worry about the shadows.

    Nice Rob. You getting to know that 75mm lens now, but seeing you using it and its limitations i made up my mind not to get it. Already have the 17mm f1.8 and 45mm f1.8 I thinking of just add the 25mm f1.8

    • @RobTrek
      @RobTrek  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks. I could do some photo walks with the 25mm this week if you like. You may want to consider the 9-18mm too.

    • @leonfourie5717
      @leonfourie5717 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RobTrek That 25mm f1.8 could be nice for a photo walk also. I own the four thirds 9-18mm. Excellent lens but bigger and heavier than the mft version but i could not afford the mft version at the time.My focus is to get the oly 25mm f1.8

    • @RobTrek

      @@leonfourie5717 I see. I went out today with the Panasonic 25mm f/1.7. Pretty much the same as the Olympus. Will post the vlog soon.
