This chap is absolutely briliant, he tries and help people there should not be a dislike option on any of his uploads. Superb uplaoad. You are very much appeciated by me at least. Fab job!
For anyone strugling to understand the programs, all the 4 programs are just TIME ZONES where you want your temperature to be "this much". Program 1 is from 6 AM - 21C and from 8 i go to work so i want 18C in the house until i return at say 4PM, so Program 2 will be 8AM - 18C. Then Program 3 will be 4PM - 21C and so on. TIME ZONES. Program 1 doesn't mean ON and program 2 doesn't mean OFF. I had a hard time with this and I finally understood after many videos, trial and error, and reading the manual. Hope it helps someone. Cheers!
Hi thanks. So how do I set it to be where I only want the temperature to be a certain amount during the day? So for example, I only want the room to be 21C at 7am and 7pm , no need to maintain or heat up for the rest of the hours of the day…. Is there a video that can show me this please? Thank you!
Super helpful. Had my CM727 for 2 years and been fiddling with it for that lenght of time, sometimes wake up to a freezing cold house. Finally I can set it up properly. Thank you and keep up the good work!
Brilliant, easy to follow instructions! I haven’t understood how to use this thing for years !! Hope I can start saving energy now and not keep trying to guess what I am doing.
Had oroblems for 2 yrs with my heating controls. Now I found this vid I can set it up easily and Ii cant believe how simple it is to sort it out. Thank you for the fool proof instructions.I wish my gas installer had explained it like this guy. Gema. HX.
Super Helpful, thanks. Usually just use the manual settings, but having a little winter break soon so needed to figure out how to set it on a timer. Perfect video 👍
Thanks for this useful tutorial. I was trying to figure out a way to reset the thermostat. Managed to do that after finding the extra parameter section in this video
Hi Mark We have a CM707 , it’s driving me up the wall ! We have one upstairs and downstairs, however , the downstairs one is seriously playing up , even when I switch it on manual , let’s say to around 24 ? The flame appears but the central heating does not come on !! The upstairs one is perfectly fine! Driving me around the bend !
Instructions are really helpful. Some of my buttons don't work when I press them, to increase the temperature for example. Do I need a new thermostat? I have had this model for 14 years.
It does seem that the connections on the buttons do become dirty inside the unit and then that stops them from working correctly. You could take it completely apart and clean the connections, but most likely a new one is needed.
Hi. I'm not getting a low battery warning but occasionally the LCD display can for a few seconds fade out and then back on again. Is this indicative of the batteries getting lower or is the unit starting to show a fault? The unit has been off all summer and was only recently turned on again after a service of my Viessman Vitodens 100 combi boiler. However, I think I've got all the settings OK but have this possible anomaly. In auto mode the heating doesn't seem to come on unless I first activate it by briefly switching to manual mode and then back to auto. I have a weather compensation device attached to the outside wall adjacent to where the boiler is positioned. Can you please explain what exactly that does? On a more general note how long would you expect a service of my particular boiler to take? In addition would you expect the engineer as a matter of routine to have a quick look at the wireless controller and a basic check of all the radiators to ensure they were all working as expected after the service. The engineer we had aside from being rather abrupt took 2.5 hours to service the boiler and just spent all that time in the kitchen. He did also change the crystal balls in the combimate unit situated under the sink. Apologies for a raft of questions but would really appreciate your observations
Thank you very much! It is amazing! But after 2 days it stopped working with heating. Cm727 shows flame and flashing wi fi symbol, but heating doesnt start working. I thought something is wrong with boiler, but no, it is heating water but not radiators 🤷♂️ what can be a reason?
Hi Mark, sorry this is the only way i could contact you. We have the Honeywell CM727 and it has a problem. The programmes are set correctly with correct times and days/dates but the heating keeps coming on an hour earlier than programmed. We have it set to come on at 5.30 pm daily but it comes on at 4.30 pm?? Any idea what this could be? TIA
Thanks for this. I’m following all of the steps however every time I try to update the auto temperature it goes back to 15 degrees. What am I doing wrong?
Hello I have CM737, controlling my heating gas system integrated with external boiler for preparing hot water, can I turn of/disable my external boiler via CM737 ? as I want my hot water boiler to keep going on other type of power electricity instead of gas (it has such option) but I can't find in CM 737 program settings how to turn off hot water external boiler, seems there is not such option ? Pls advice/help.
Hi. My Honeywell thermostat cm707 is showing display but the temperature goes to 15 every now and then. When I am trying to switch to auto and to set temperature manually then it doesn’t. What should be done. Thanks
Hi Mark, Our Control Box is a CM727, I think I have set it as you advise. If I set the Temp to 18 the Boiler fires up at different times if the Temp goes below 18. It’s set on AUTO The Optimisation is set to 0 My question is if the temp goes below 18 will it always fire up? Thanking you
Excuse my stupidity, as I have no idea about energy at all. I was just wondering its -01 outside, but my CM727 is saying 17.5 c. I don't have the heating on, I have a T-shirt on, and I don't feel cold. There is no flame on the display. I'm in a new build apartment block. Am I getting heat from the other flats? Or have I got the heating on somehow?
Hi Mark, I have a Honeywell CM707. I have done the 4 settings 1)7am 18 degrees, 2) 8am 10 degrees, 3) 6pm 18 degrees and 4) 7pm 10 degrees. So as I understand it at 8am and 7pm the heating shouldn't come on unless it drops to below 10 degrees? However it stays at a constant 18 degrees throughout so the heating continually clicks on when dropping below 18 degrees. Maybe I'm missing something? I just want it on for an hour twice a day to take the chill off the house. Any suggestions appreciated - Many thanks
i have this same problem too - set it to 20 degrees to come on at 8am (programme 1) set it to 10 degrees to go off at 10am (programme 2) - but it came on at 7am this morning when in AUTO mode, the days set correct, so i have no idea
I have tried to Use the program settings the first one seemed to be okay but then it won’t hold and then it jumps to 2 and has no time and no temperature three also has no time and temperature and then four has a time and a temperature. Where are the times and the temperatures for two and three?
Does anyone know why when I set the temperature to be higher, as soon as I've finished pushing the up button to the temperature I want, the displays drops back down to what it was. I initially thought it was because it was working its way to that temperature, but it never seems to get there... If I push the manual button it will initially show the temp I've asked for but also only shows it for a couple seconds before switching back to the current temp
Don't know if you ever found out how to fix it but in case you didn't; If 2-4 are showing " -- : --" hold the i button for a couple seconds to turn them on, then swap to 3 and 4 to do the same.

Really nice tutorial, thank you so much, it's helpful for me.
When boilers have timer on the front panel with classic 0-clock-1 and you want to use this thermostat, would you set the selctor switch on 1?
Thank you very much! It is amazing!

Is there a way for this to work where you can set the temp you want then it’ll turn off itself after it’s hit that temp?

Very helpful video and thank you. 🙂
What setting should I put on the actual boiler? Should I put it on “on” or “timed”? (It’s an older boiler with the dial clock timer thing on it)
