      Bear in mind that Chinese parents will usually buy 婚房 (marriage home) only for their son. Many of them wont give daughter a penny so it automatically made young women have an overall worse financial situation compares to same age men. And the consequence is that poorer man will be less competitive in terms of finding a partner. So basically it's the price of the "male first" ideology.

    • @Gothicc_senpai

      @@lightschen1644 well bars and clubs are not good for everyone, we need places for those who dont like those places but still want to meet other singles. western society is very limited and most people here have narrow minded view, and so are not so accepting of those who are different from the mainstream. otherwise if you have no other generic answers i understand this is a rough topic

    • @lightschen1644
      @lightschen1644 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Gothicc_senpai Agreed! These markets exist because China is still an extremely conservative country that places more value on nuclear families than love. There's social pressure to marry young without "dirtying" yourself, and marriage is seen as a family decision. Taking your time and meeting other singles in less traditional environments is a long process, and these markets want to eliminate them. But with that, you can never be sure if the person you're marrying is really the person advertised. And it's extremely offputting to imagine that your "credentials" posted by your parents are the driving force behind your future.

    Although it is pretty much like an offline tinder or any other dating site, it's just uncomfortable how the parents are the ones trying to look for someone for their children. I'm not against the parents helping their child, that's one of the ways that they show they care, its just the market-like setting as if the children were objects that I find a bit uncomfortable. If it's the people themselves, sure because that's their life but for some parents there, they don't care about personality or if they like each other. If you don't have this then you don't get a chance and I find it a very efficient way of making someone lose their self-esteem.
    I apologize if I offended someone with my remarks or if my thoughts do not match someone else's but this is just my opinion.

    Marriage is not everything but love is.
    Do you know that people married for money and status?
    That’s why Marriage suck.
    People are not married for love. It’s for making babies and that it. The Chinese youth nowadays doesn’t want to get married because they know their parents forced them to having babies.
    There was a news in China that the Chinese women divorce her husband because the husband family had her family wanting her to get pregnant fast. And the husband agreed with her. Then his family and her family are all in court about to tell the judge not to divorce him.
    But the judge divorce them anyway. The ex husband mom and ex mom have a nerve breakdown over their divorce.
    I’m like ”These Chinese mom need to back up with their children love life. You raise them well for them to choose their lovers.” Marriage market is a bad idea anyway.
