Just got a Atlas, and fitted a traxxas TRX-4M motor with trailgearing. Perfect upgrade, perfect fit. Very cheap upgrade

Just picked up an Atlas and was super disappointed with the low-end torque especially compared to my Tetra X2. I would've bought a Tetra K1 instead of this but it just looks so much better. Do you have any general specs on this motor? How many turns? I mean, Torquebeast is a cool name an all... ;-).
Well gotta say this motor has more torque and a higher top speed than the stock motor! Only thing now is it’s got a bit too much torque for the stock plastic gears. Gotta watch it a bit and not give full throttle when I get stuck.
Are you guys planning on making some metal gears? I would definitely buy them!
How did you get it to “glide like paper”, I’ve Dremeled, since I’ve got my 30 dollar motor” that in my opinion you should include a motor plate with, the motor has been hard to run over and it’s nosier than The factory

Hey, did this new motor help with power or noise?
Atlas noise comes from the esc. Stock esc is horrible. You’ll lose the noise and see a big improvement just by getting a better esc.
