much power we can get out of this 440 Mopar stroker motor using trickflow 270 max wedge heads fitted with a custom welded and ported original style six pack intake! Unicorn power!
That is one impressive naturally aspirated 440 six pack. A beautiful job squeezing 744 horse power.

We did one last year... 681 HP and 649 Ft/Lbs. from 505/TF270 Heads with the factory aluminum 6-Pack Intake... Ported to within 1/8" of the Max Wedge size without welding, we just didn't believe welding was worth it for a street/Pump Gas effort., ,
Lotsa work, and we used an INDY Valley Plate.
"Street" Mechanical Roller, 10.8:1 static/Pump 91 Octane
I'll see if I can get into the shop, find/print and post the Dyno Sheet.

I think the extra Compression Ratio and "Race" Mechanical Roller Cams Higher Lift and 500#+ Rate/Inch V/Springs might be worth some power as well ?

we were quite happy to see 681 hp / 649 Ft/Lbs at low Compression Ratio 91 Octane friendly, and only .580" Lift 'Street' Roller Cam.... really easy on parts.

That engine made more than the advertised 390hp of a stock 6 pack engine at only 3500 rpms. That's impressive.

The flex fuel lines are from Promax. I have them on my 440 6bbl. WAY easier to work with than the factory hard line kit any time you need to access the various parts of the Holley carbs.

This is great 744hp / 780hp on a 270 wedge heads, hope this beats out the big block Chittys !!! Big what if, 4.400 bore heads with the valves to wider valve opening and use "centered" valves???
It would be very interesting to see those heads on a 383 or a 400

I have TF 270’s on a 400-512 stroker. Similar to the motor in the video. 11.5-1, 276 duration, 660 lift, 1100 cfm ProSystem carb.
Street and strip, that engine would be a blast to run.

For a fairly large camshaft, surprised how smoothly this engine idles. How about that welded up intake manifold? a nice piece for those big ol 270 heads.

Very Wicked ! I think it would be interesting to see how well one of the old Weiand Six pack single plane superstock intakes performed on this engine. Part # p3690982. Kinda hard to come by these days.
They are a nightmare to tune. Pete has one from back in the day

I'd love to have those heads . A guy put those on out of the box. And went 10.0s 10.40s with cast MW heads. Those heads are magical! 😂

Loved that video and the power.I have a 440 6pack that I built 25 years ago and it makes good power but can always have more.Never had it on a dyno. Where is his dyno room and does he test other peoples engines or just his own. Would like to talk about doing some upgrades on my motor.

Awesome Joe!! Makes me want to use 240 TFs on my 456 low-deck with the Eddy B 6-pk intake I have. I want to use FI-Tech EFI and a solid roller with 114*LSA. Maybe 600hp? LOL

Leave a lot of power going 6 Pack over single 4bbl. I knew it was going to be at least 20-30hp but not 50-60 and 80-90 ft/lbs.
Do you think it would get some more HP with just the Air Cleaner base and no filter?
LOVE THE CHANNEL!!! T hat is an extremely impressive engine!!! , please forgive me ,for what maybe a stupid question, knowing it would not fit under most stock hood clearances, have you tried dounle, or even triple stacking the air cleaners, and tuning to the extra air flow? y'all BE SAFE!
Haven’t tried the double or triple stack yet lol. Larger air cleaners often do add some hp but wouldn’t even bother on a 6 pack style intake. If your into air cleaner stuff You should watch my vid on the w2 small block. I made my own and it’s good.

I heard in the video on the build it has a 4.150 stroke crank with a 4.350 bore. Could you tell me what length rods are being run 6.76 or 7.100 and who makes the camshaft ? And what are you running for fuel and octane?

I thought 440 were supposed to crack the block at above 650hp? What kind of dark magic are y’all using?
Like I say in vid it has an engine girdle that does help a lot. Pete kinda says 650 is safe and 700 is doable. This motor combo will be in street car and you would not want to consistently drag race this as it would eventually fail.

We call it pump +. We get 94 at turns pump here and I think it has splash so probs close to 96/98
