I really do appreciate your channel - you've saved me an absolute fortune with now having the confidence to tackle almost anything on my boxster - before, I would just send the car into the dealer, but now take great pleasure in doing all my own work - fantastic work and keep it up, as I'm sure there are many more 'new mechanics' like me out there! People like you really do make a difference - well done!

Best DIY videos ever! I have 964 Speedster, an '82 911SC Targa and, my favorite to drive, a 2004 Boxster. Thank you for posting these videos! I will being using your posts often!
I appreciate you posting these videos I’ve seen a boxer 14k with 50,000 miles 2002 i’m trying to learn everything about the car that I need to know thanks
Thanks for the videos. Great work. Would you be able to detail a next step on the door card project, to show how to repair or replace the door membrane. Thanks S
My door is refusing to open so it looks like I can still remove this with the door closed. Got water ingress into module and this is the only issue. Passenger door won't unlock (UK)
I've seen people on the 986 forum recommend you disconnect the battery before doing this but I'm not sure why. Perhaps if it prevents the airbag from going off in your face, or if it prevents the car from throwing an airbag code, or… Anyone?
@@HelpMeDIY I htink I did it twice wihtout getting the code, and then got it the last time I messed with the window. Do I have to go to the dealer to get it reset?
Perfect explanation, thank you so much
+@VictorWeyl-q9n you’re welcome 🍻

+Simon Carr thanks! I haven’t put it back on yet but usually that stuff is sticky enough that you just press it back on.
Did you disconnect battery?
+George Camp nope
What is the name of that pry tool you are using? Definitely need that.
+uspaint oh I’ll add a link in the description in just a minute.

+Michael Moran I think they are worried about the airbag, but not necessary
You will defiantly get an airbag code like me.
@@xavier4357 I didn’t get an airbag code and I’ve done it many times now

@@xavier4357 Then what? Do we have to go to the dealer to get it reset or is there a workaround?

+Bob Fognozzle you too! 🎄 (I admit I had to Google it. I’m slow)
