What I’m trying to say is at the moment I am teaching myself German 🇩🇪 and your videos are so inspiring and are encouraging me to learn even more. 😂. Can people blow this up so Nathaniel can see 😂

This sounds a lot like surrendering to the flow of life. A spiritual concept of non-resistance. It really is one of the highest practices. We can't always control the situations life gives us but we can control our reactions to them. I dig it, Nathaniel!

Oh, I can relate so much to your spur in the moment tattoo. I got my first tattoo exactly the same way - it was a one day visit in Amsterdam on my journey and I fell in love with the city right away. It was one of the most joyful and enriching days in my life. When I passed a tattoo salon i knew deep down in my heart and soul that I need to capture this day somehow and that if I don’t do it, I will regret it forever. Before this trip, I’ve thought about getting one, but I’ve never had the strong feeling “okay, now” and “okay, this one” - I would have got one simply from boredom which is not an enough reason for me. I love the tattoo - not simply because of the principle that a few simple lines on my wrist means something to me (which they do), but because I have a connection to that day, to that feeling. Something that is purely mine, that others doesn’t have to understand or know. Yes, it is scary to do such a big decision in one quick moment. But I think we always know straight away what is worth it and what isn’t. Can’t wait for your new chapter and thank you for giving me a new feeling - excitement before a new unknown journey :)

    This was what I needed.
Maybe in a few years it will change again, but I needed to hear this concept. I've been through a lot as a person, and I've done all that I can to heal from those wounds. In that process, I find myself removed from the world. Removed from the pressure the world usually exerts on me. To find a good job, to find a partner, etc.
I walked away from it all, and found a relative peace. Yet, in that peace, I found no answers as to what to do with myself.
And then this video shows up. Love of fate, Love what happens to you.
I was waiting for that external pressure to tell me what to do. It's how I lead my life for the past 28 years. I always balanced that negative pressure with sheer will.
Yet, I never really consider letting my love for what is to guide me. To let myself pave the way with the beauty I see around me. To let life do as it will, and I'll love it just the same.
I've always wanted passion to guide me. I've always wanted to become my own dreams, and as a result, I never really let myself love what was in front of me. Love what I've been. Love what I am.
    Amor Fati.

Philosophy + spirituality + realism is how I've personally been wanting to live life recently. So much in life is straightened out for you once you set yourself a clear vision and understanding of what life is and how you want your life to be. Also making sure that the process of getting to that point isn't influenced by unprocessed emotions within the body is sooo important.
Loved especially the last part of this video! Excited for change!

'Amor Fati' is a central tenet of Stoicism. Pairs beautifully with their tenet of 'Memento Mori' (roughly meaning "Remember you have to die"). If you haven't explored that territory yet, do it. In particular, the books 'Meditations' by Marcus Aurelius, and 'Discourses and Selected Writings' by Epictetus are incredible. They changed my life and helped me realise that one can choose ones reaction to life. The unknown and chaos can be exciting rather than terrifying. One can seek peace and tranquility rather than hopelessly chasing the ephemeral spectre of happiness.

    Hello 👋
Firstly I would like to thank you for making your TH-cam channel and sharing with us your ideas, experiences, thoughts and feelings with us. You are always open with us on what you are planning and explaining things in a ways that we could understand your concept and ideas.
Secondly, I found your channel in a really difficult time in my life. I was lost, and didn't know what I wanted out of this life that I have been blessed with. I had to make one of the biggest choice that a person can make. Watching a couple of your videos about Journaling, answering questions, finding who I am. Little by little my anxiety grew and so did my stress but after listening to your words. Things started to click together. I was still worried but unlike before. This also inspired me to start looking at life in a different view and to find ways of improving my life style. I am still not sure about what my purpose is but one thing for sure I do know that enjoying every moment in the present and accepting things as they come without having this huge worry about tomorrow. Life become lighter and content was found. Finding happiness in the little moments helps.
Thirdly, I am an avid traveller. Always hopping from one place to the other but never staying there for too long. Mostly a few days. Your videos made me realise that I wasnt experiencing the true culture of the country and the idea of slow travelling was fascinating. And so was the concept on finding true fulfillment and peace in life.
Fourthly, never knew that two of my favourite channels would make a video together this was a nice surprise.
Thank you for taking the time to read all of this and thank you again for making your videos. Really I can't thank you enough. Have a good day!

ah i’ve been watching you for two years. and the changes you’ve been making in your videos excite me so much. i’m trying to do the same in a way. over attachment to outcomes have been something that’s really hurt me in the past. it’s caused me a lot of anxiety over the years. i’m really trying to calm down and enjoy what’s here and be excited for the unknown. i really love the idea of surprises. i know i need to face my fears and stop staying in my comfort zone. anyways i’m excited for this next chapter and to experience the ongoing journey of wherever it’ll take us.

I think its so incredible that we have been on this planet for so long, with thinkers like Plato, Hume, Kant spreading their thoughts and now we are able to learn and grow with a new generation of Philosophers, such as Nathaniel Drew, showing us that philosophy is very much still thriving and alive. It's amazing to see how you manage to inspire so many people and engage the them by simply speaking your mind. You're phenomenal.

Loved this video! I visited Albania myself recently and this video really captured and explained alot of the feelings, emotions and experiences that I had whilst over there. Albania is a truly beautiful place, with beautiful people and amazing culture! I couldn't have explained it better myself. Amor Fati 🙏

I'll be honest, I kind of felt detached from your videos while you were in Paris... but here you go again, a sense of authentic and interesting self-reflections that made me re sub and take interest again. P.s nothing like the Balkans to help solidify the transition from search from mental clarity to --->Amor fati.

These videos always come at the perfect time for me...always when you talk about dealing with sh*t being a test of character, or how we put pressure on ourselves to be happy, which can make us unhappy in the process...your messages always, always hit home. Thank you Nathanial, and I am also a huge fan of you both on TH-cam and Skillshare.

Man... I feel so proud and kind of emotional right now, I've been here since 100k subscribers, I think it was around 2018. It's now 2021, and I'm sooo grateful to have been part of this journey, and so glad I get to see what's coming next.
    Growth is beautiful.
I love your work Nath :)

Comfort is the enemy of growth. So glad to see youtubers not afraid to break out of old ways of doing things. Mad respect!
