Why Grenades in Ghosts of Tabor VR need to be nerfed...

Basically these grenades are anything but Overpowered.
When a Grenade’s pin is Pulled, you’ve removed essential a Safety for the Latch of which you cling to.
Letting go of your Latch will cause a striker to hit some primer and ignite a fuse, which is the timer you get before it detonates. Once this fuse finishes, it ignites the interior explosive and it detonates.
The reason your Grenade damages from so far away is because of Shrapnel. You don’t get hurt from the explosion. You get hurt from flying bits of metal burning at god knows how hot going straight into your body.
Take the RGD-5 For example,
Those Ridges that make it a “waffle” texture are the projectiles that fly once it detonates. The reason they are in squares that have a lower, thin space inbetween each square is so that when it detonates, those small thin inbetween areas break first, the remaining energy launching the cubes every which way, hence you get killed from this.
The grenades aren’t overpowered, they’re realistic. Something Tabor strives for is Realism.
Deal with the Realism, stay on your Toes, and Trust Nobody.
To be honest that's the best explanation I've ever heard so fair enough. I guess if they're going for realism then it's about right.
I was looking at it through a balance perspective in that having the highest tier armour doesn't stop a naked player from running up and one shotting you and there's nothing you can do about it as I would argue the primary goal of any video game is fun, and the feeling of losing a good kit to something like that must be awful. It depends if they want a more mil sim, serious feel about the game or more fun. At the end of the day, most stuff in the game is balanced well anyways (with a reasonable skew towards higher tier guns etc) and it's 100% the best game I've played in VR so the grenades aren't a huge deal :) Thanks for the comment!

But when you're out of the explosive range, the shrapnel should deal less damage based on aemor.

I think in terms of balance though, it seems a little unfair that someone in a full boss kit can die to one well placed grenade from a naked. It should take them to very low health but I think something you can't react to like that is unbalanced.
Yes definitely should just take a load of health🤔.I have a bunker full of top gear but find it much more satisfying when I come in naked have come out fully kitted at times all depends on your luck have been playing this game since xmas is one of the best games iv played since starting gaming back in the 80s 🤣 yes I’m old 😈 look out for me ZEDHEAD I’ll be walking slow 🤣

A few hours ago I met someone who just got the game and with him I tried to kill a scav with a m67 but I accidentally killed him😢

Yeah it’s a really unforgiving game at the start haha. Don’t worry, I only have around 100 hours played so it doesn’t take long to get used to it :)
I dont know, but based on hand shaking, you should try these settings for better aim and less hand shake:
Janky aim fix
Hand smoothing
Virtual gunstock (may feel weird at first)
Thanks dude. I use Virtual Gunstock already but I might give the other settings a go. I just got shakey hands at that moment after I killed the dude in prison idk why haha, normally I don't get it. What does Janky Aim fix do?
@@janks.-VR Not entirely sure actually, they seem to just smooth your hands out so your aim is steadier. Either way I play with both and they're incredible.

In fairness they don't need to be nerfed, but they are crazy strong for the trader price. I'll definitely be using them in every raid from now on!

Hmm that's maybe why then. I run quest with airlink to my pc so tabor uses the pc version on steam. Maybe grenades are broken for standalone

It’s a bug that happens. I killed the guy that was fully kitted with M4 T6, geartech, and Mickey mask I killed him with a lutty and it said I was killed from over 1000M we traded and it was on mocha and we were 10 m away from each other
