Ok so I used this system for the first time last Sunday, I am a college student, and I hate going to the store, and let me say, I LOVE THIS SYSTEM, and will be using it forever and ever!!
I love this. I need to this notebook. I always take inventory and make a list. I shop for 2 weeks. We for the most part eat at home lately and I've been making all my breads. Love Aldi!
If my wife isn’t like you.. I’m finding a new one. Thank you. I’m 25 and feel like I’m getting old looking for grocery tutorials lol. Getting a BJS membership now :)
Hi there! I'm new to your channel, but wanted to let you know I never thought of getting trash bags, soaps, and cleaners for a year at a time. Great tip and I am gonna do this at my Costco the next time my laundry detergent goes on sale. In a way this saves money as well when prices go up during the year like this one.
We don't menu plan. It works for some people, but we save more money by just keeping stocked up on things we use. When hamburger goes on sale at $3.99 a lb., we buy enough for the month. Some people find menu planning works for them and that's fine. We would rather get most groceries on sale. Today we were low on pork and beans, cream of mushroom, and kidney beans. Grabbed a few of each at low Aldi prices.
Thanks for the tips! I love Aldi!! The aisle of random stuff is known as the Aisle of Shame, because we sometimes end up spending more in that aisle. Look up Aldi Aisle of Shame on Facebook and don’t be surprised if someone yells Ca Caw while you’re there 😊 We’re coming to your White Pine show, can’t wait!!
I also Do a list of needed items and food, but i don't do store bought stock or envelopes of taco or chili or any other stuff. I make fresh stock and can it and make my own fresh made seasoning packets. Especially since i have high blood pressure, chronic kidney disease and cholesterol problems, making it will take time but my health has gotten so much better and started losing the extra weight.
I'm French, so I don't know if you have these pasta brands in stores in the United States. Here are some Italian pasta brands I recommend: "Liguori" and "La Terra e Il Cielo". For good passata and tomato sauces : "Le Delizie di mamma puggia".
