This video will go through and show you how to install LED license plate bulbs on your 2008+ Mercedes-Benz C-Class. LED's have a more modern and sleek look to them compared to the standard halogen bulbs.
There's no need to remove the trunk liner or the plastic covers from the boot hinges,just remove the 4 T 15 screws from the lock guard then pull gently to release the push fit liner retainers! That's it,you can then get your hand in to release the bulb,a very easy 10 minute job👍🏻
Thought so too. On most Japanese cars its even dead easier: the plastic caps covering the bulbs pop out, revealing the bulbs. Then you can remove the bulbs with a long-nosed pliers or fingers (the only fidly bit). 5 mins tops if all goes well. Maybe can check if it works here 👍

I live in Maryland too and usually go to Mercedes Benz of Silver Spring and I'm sure they would have charged me an hour of labor for something that cost me $5 for the bulb and 15 minutes of labor. Thanks! Your video helped. I just didnt have to remove entire cover, i was able to slightly bend it and just reach with my hands, cuz i have a thing that holds reflective triangle and i would have to remove it too
Man, I really wish I had watched this video before watching the 1:56 one that convinced me to try to pry out the chrome trim and bend it in the process so it no longer fits correctly. F

If anyone is wondering how to do this on a W204 Estate, or any other model where you can't find seem to find any visible clips in the interior trimming, start by unclipping the tailgate HANDLES! There are mounting screws hidden inside, and it should all be straightforward from there.
I did this to my 2014 c63 coupe but when I try to take out the connecter for the led . the led bulb is built inside the housing. I don't know how to get to it.
Is their an easy way? Too much work just to change two bulbs...why they made it so complicated?? I would rather not touch the factory bulbs after watching the video..
It's actually really easy if you just follow the steps. I have very minimal experience working on my mercedes but got this done with no hassle. Honestly took me longer to replace my side markers as I didn't know how to get them out and had some troubles switching out front parking lights to LED's as well. At least there's no tight spaces to work with here, you can see everything and it's quite easy to know how to proceed.

In mine there shows up a warning message on the screen that the bulb is broken. Why don’t you have that? My ca is also a W204.

Taking the trunk liner out is completely unnecessary, I have a video on how to remove these from the outside, only takes a few minutes.

The Philips T10 gave me error messages on my C63. Just a heads up.
