DIY Mercedes W204 LED Licence Plate Lights Replacement Easy Fast

In this video we are going to show you how to easily replace the light bulbs from a W204 license plate with more powerful LED lights. I wanted to perform this job a long time ago because I kept getting the warning sign for burnt license plate lights but also I always found the original ones to be a bit too dim. There are plenty of videos on TH-cam on how to do that but some of them suggest that you only need to remove the exterior trim and not the entire interior panel of the trunk. I am really anxious to show you exactly which of the two methods is the right one so no one else has to wonder about that as I did. The LEDs are really cheap and they are specially designed for W204 so they perfectly fit in the sockets of the old light bulbs and also you won’t get any warning lights when turning on the ignition. I was really pleased with the result.
I am using the Go Pro Hero 7 for my videos. In my opinion it is the best due to mechanical gimbal‑like stabilization-without the gimbal. Also you can use any power bank you want when filming, no over heating. Affiliate link here for best deal:

I don't see that as easy & fast for changing a lamp? Wow.
Trust me, it's not as hard as it looks. Also it's totally worth it.
I've done this very job on my own W204 and yes, the interior trim has to come off to access the 2 screws either side of the handle to get the exterior trim off. The LED light make a big difference. I believe the facelifted W204 from 2011 had LEDs.

@@TheDIYWorkshop2020 le am schimbat weekendul trecut 😆 mi a luat exact 20-30 min să le schimb, și 20 de min sa caut clipsurile luate de vânt prin frunze 😂😂

Jeez Louise, what happened to unscrewing 2 screws to remove the licence plate bulb holders. That's progress I guess.
It s not that complicated and it s worth the effort. There are brands where you need to remove the headlights to change a light bulb. Try it out, you will be pleased. Thanks for the comment!
