- Falls BARREL RACING #2, altri scivoloni durante gare di Barrel Racing e Pole Bending, durante i campionati 2018 e 2019.
Queste discipline sono assolutamente tra le più adrenaliniche nel mondo dell'equitazione, ma dove c'è velocità, di sicuro c'è anche qualche rischio di fare brutte cadute.
Tutti i Cavalli e Cavalieri nei video delle gare che vi mostriamo non hanno avuto conseguenze e stanno benissimo. - กีฬา

His horse was already there and gone before he started to save a barrel that didn't need saving.
It's the new "in" thing, apparently. If you can reach down and pick the barrel up, you're cool. It's stupid and has caused more penalties than it's worth!

Exactly, Im not exactly a barrel racing person, but if you check out my main Louis pow you can see a couple vids of me cantering up a hill. Idc what any other athletes say. Horse riding is a sport and takes WAY more skill then anything else. Bcos you have a 1000+ lbs animal underneath you that can kill you in seconds.

It doesn’t. These clips were from various competitions. It’s a very rare day that you’ll see more than maybe one or two mishaps at any competition.

I have NEVER seen a barrel horse break a leg, the dirt is soft, it’s a small pattern compared to racing, we boot them up to keep them safe and they are some of the most taken care of horses, they get all sorts of massages and supplements to keep them up as athletes! Barrel horses are treated well most the time, until you get those few lucky “professionals” who can’t ride worth anything and beat their horses 🙄

I'm sorry, but I have to say this; and this is why English riding is better than Western. Western has no damn control of their horses and the way you position yourself while you ride, AKA your equitation, is very poor. Example, your feet are so far in your stirrups that if you fall you often get stuck in the stirrup and run the risk of getting dragged or kicked, etc. Another example is; you are literally flying out of your saddle as you gallop around the barrels and poles, your knees are never connected to the saddle while riding which also causes loss of control. It's no wonder there are so many riding fails and falls in the western riding world. And yes, English has their fair share too, but at least we know how to ride. And again, yes, I know I will probably get hate for this, but I'm also tired of seeing my friends who ride western get hurt because they don't ride properly but think they are tough, good riders. Sorry?
and you're entitled to your opinion, but turning full speed around a barrel, gravity and newton's law are acting against you, and while some of us can't keep our seat and pop up, sometimes due to how much we weigh, or just how much power our horse has coming out of the turn. there are a lot of professionals who have an amazing seat and they are great riders. you can't judge all of western because of a few amateurs from one sport,who are still developing. take a look at sorting, cutting, reining, or even just some cowgirls or cowboys workin the ranch.

You aren’t any better... don’t slam another dicipline.. western riders are not lazy! Barrel racing is extremely hard as with English, jumping over colored sticks is hard as well I bet. Please don’t slam another sport in the equestrian world claiming what you do is better because it’s not true and kinda rude. Both diciplines have their hardships. They are both equally hard in there own ways.

I ride both Western and English. Idk what experiences you've had, but my horses always respond better with western. Barrel racing is an extreme sport that takes years to perfect. English, no offence, but every english rider I've met is a nose in the air snob. Western riders are so much friendlier, and from my experience, have much better connections with their horse, for the right reasons
Barrel racing sucks! It is the trailor trash of the equestrian world. If you suck at riding, have no class, and compassion is to big of a word for you to comprehend, barrel racing is for you.
