  • In this episode of Bro Labs, I create the worst track spikes and soccer cleats injury of all time! We did this science experiment to determine is track spikes and soccer cleats could be a viable self defense option.
WARNING: do not try this at home. These challenges are done with medically trained personnel on standby and after serious research is done on the devices used along with the potential injuries which may result.
I've consulted with my medical professional on the proper way to test these devices while minimizing long term harm.
The satirical nature presented in the video is for entertainment purposes only and does not endorse the behavior displayed. Done improperly, these actions can lead to serious injury.

HEY HUSTON! If you want pain, try welding in just sneakers and shorts! (Bare feet might be a bit too much for you) If the spatter don't get you then the arc burn will! (It's like bad sunburn). I've been burned whilst welding many times and it's usually no worse then a small blister. In the long run you'll still get far LESS burnt then the hot coals video (in theory) but every welder knows that pain. That or add in putting your arm under a shower of grinder sparks for amounts of time. Not really dangerous, just kinda painful. Worst you might get I'd say is a red looking rash.

Each team would line up and huddle around their best runner because when that gun goes off everyone is shiving eachother with their spikes to slow down each adversarial team. occasionally it would be protect the freshman and they would be in the center of the circle instead of the best runners simply so they didn't get scared off and quit the sport.

In 8th grade, I was playing 3rd base, and had a kid slide with his metal cleats up(which is messed up) while I was tagging him out. It ended up braking my arm and his cleats broke my skin pretty good. Cleats are serious. Baseball cleats aren’t spiked like track shoes, but they’re definitely longer spikes. Baseball cleats aren’t even sharp but with enough force they’ll do some damage. I still got the tag out at 3rd and on top of that the kid was thrown out of the game for sliding with his feet up💪 it looked very intentional. I have to give credit to my right fielder though because he threw an absolute dart for the tag out haha. Good times.

Coming from someone who did 3 years in highschool of running long distance and cross country getting spined is the worse pain imaginable added onto the fact you have to finish the race after words with a bloody ankle or leg

I’m not saying you need to do this again buuuut two things:
    1. Baseball cleats???
    2. What about getting kicked by, I don’t know…Wonderboy? Or Luke Rockhold?
Excellent video. Very surprised at how bad the track spikes are.

I’m shocked you haven’t hit 2mil subs yet. I hadn’t looked at your sub count in awhile and was surprised by it. I bet you’ll hit it within the next 24 hours. This is great content! Gets your heart rate up, no matter the person! 😂 Have you thought about being run over by different vehicles? Increasing in weight? Lol jk, please don’t do that.

At one of my cross country meets, there was a championship race, and one kid tripped on a snow fence post, which led to a huge trample. One guy on my team had huge scars on his leg, and they were all deep cuts. He had to get stitches. I thought of that as soon as I saw this video.

4X All-American Track athlete, two of which in Decathlon. Also a National Champion. I spiked myself in pole vault at the national championship. I still have the scars on my leg from being sliced open 9 years later. They are no joke. There's REALLY long sharp ones for pole vault, and javelin.
