I love you channel! I just discovered it today and have been watching for hours! This is in my top 5 of favorite foods to eat from Thailand. I do like mine with the fried wontons though.
Oh YEEEEEEAH! Noodles soups, I know you had mentioned in the past you were going to do some noodle soups and i have been patiently waiting and whaaaala. So excited, its going to be my mothers day meal for me. :) Thank you for sharing. :)
Tom Yum Noodles are yummy,.. spicy, sour, sweet & savoury all at once :) Thanks for sharing your recipe. Should you have the opportunity to visit Malaysia, we do have a lot of nice place for this dish, here's my favourite @
Noodle soup is my favorite thai food! But we are so use to American portions here that when I was in Thailand, I typically order 2 or sometimes 3 bowls of this stuff (depending on the street vendors portions) :))
This soup looks amazing!!! I recently made Pho for the first time, I love soups!! There is one that i eat at a local Thai restaurant is called 'general's noodle soup' is delicious! But when I try to find it online, there's nothing, could you provide any info, links, even other names it might have?? The recipe calls for egg noodles, shrimp, bbq pork, ground pork and roasted duck. IDK where else to look, but maybe I'll make that with your broth as the base. Thanks again, amazing food
Hi Adam here - and I think you're going to have to ask her that one directly as she doesn't see the comments on here once the post is more than a week old (as per her note above). So click on "Show more" above to see how to contact her. Cheers! (that said - the answer is "no not really", as the tastes are completely different :) )
Hello Pai, your Tom Yum Noodle Soup looks very delicious and it’s also my favourite Thai noodle soup. Many years ago I was in Sukhothai in Thailand and I had Sukhothai Style Tom Yum Noodle Soup which also had sliced snake beans in it. Is the addition of the sliced snake beans the only difference between the standard version and the Sukhothai version of Tom Yum Noodle Soup?
Paiiii ! I just got back from Bangkok and am having an incessant craving for the Thai Fishcakes that were abundantly available from the road side stalls. Could you please make a recipe for them T_T cravings are hitting me in the middle of the night :( Much appreciated! Thank you !
Hi Thom! Re the chili vinegar she uses "pure white" vinegar which is 5% by volume. (I had to grab the jug to look that up :)) I also noticed that the link to the recipe wasn't added above (under Show More) so added that in to help out (also at hot-thai-kitchen.com/tom-yum-noodle) Cheers! Adam
This turned out quite disappointing for me. I've made it twice. The first time it turned out bitter because I stupidly threw in the kaffir lime fruits that I had peeled for my red curry. The second time I made the mistake of buying beef marrow bones for stock (which didn't quite work). I don't even feel encouraged to make this again because it's quite a lot of work to prefare everything (making stock, roasting peanuts, making prik som and garlic oil). Also, the sprouts doesn't do well in the freezer and I can't use it all before it goes bad. :(
+Dirkschneider Aw, I'm sorry to hear! That's okay, just cook a few easy quick recipes to get your motivation back and I'm sure you'll be in the mood to try this again soon :) Yes, beef bones do have a very distinct flavour to them which does not work for this dish, if anything, chicken bones would work better.
+Pailin's Kitchen I even forgot to mention that I also managed to burn the chilis when I roasted them because I didn't realise you were talking Farenheit and not Celsius degrees. The beef marrow I got because they were recommended to me by the butcher. He didn't have any pig bones apparently and when he said 'marrow bones' I didn't realise he ment beef (which I should have). He said they were great for making stock and I'm sure they are. Just not for this dish. But you know what, I will try this again later. I know which mistakes I made. But it's just a bad feeling when you have planned, bought ingredients and cooked for so long and it turns out bad.

Maybe could just ask the restaurant if they know an alternative name? or ask them to transcribe the Thai name.
Can i use lemon juice as a substitute for the lime?

No, no, stick to pork.
Ha ha. The importance of grammar and punctuation. "Let's eat Grandma" vs "Let's eat, Grandma" .
Does anybody know what kind of white vinegar she uses? What percentage?

it's an activity in family day, Sunday. my mom prepared eveything than dad and me switchied to cook own noodle. Thai family be like that :D
Noodle is me
Where was the trinity though?
its my fav. thai dish, but boy, that looks like a lot of work with a lot of very specific ingredients!
Well I think u should wash the pork bones with hot water first to get rid of the smell and fat of the pork . It makes your soup more clear
aint no time for that
do you just throw away the next bones after, the mean off that would be be delicious !
