I made this the other day and the only complaint is that on her website the recipe is only for 2 servings. You're gonna have to double or triple this because it's so delicious everything will be gone in no time. The last few sips of the soup where the egg yolk kind of melts into the soup and thicken it are magical. And don't skimp on the cilantro at the end (if you like cilantro, that is) because it makes this dish 2x better. Also if you are not used to spicy foods, this will de-stroy the planet next to Saturn. You are warned.

:D waw. Didn’t know that! Thanks! But tho alot of Thai people doesn’t know how to cook Tom yum XD
One thing that I may suggest is when she add pounded pepper into the pot..
It is easier for beginner to control how much spicy they want, If you add pepper/lime/sugar/fish sauce in the serving bowl.
So you can taste and add as many times you want

As someone half Thai and having been raised on tom yum, Marion's version is delightful overkill! I'm used to wheat or rice noodles in my tom yum but have never had dumplings with it before.

Thank you Marion. Finally got a chance to make this and been on my mind last few days. Got all ingredients from my local Asian market except lime leaves so i just omitted that and still came out great. Super easy to follow the video. Prepped everything and it was 1 2 3 and serve. Sooo Yummy.

It's actually SUPER important to add water into your wonton meat fillings, this will ensure that the meat will come out softer and less of a rough texture. In fact this is what they do in Chinese restaurants and they also whip up the meat filling by vigorously mixing the meat mixture and lifting up the meat throwing it back in the bowl, to give it a nicer texture.

Marion, my 😇, i made the nam prik pao knowing one day I would make this . OMG I'm positive our local thai restaurant can't top this recipe . Swapped potstickers for dumplings and noodles, but this recipe is a stunner! You are the best . Every recipe of yours I make is over the top. Thank you so much 😘

The recipe looks similar to mine. With or without coconut milk, this is the most flavorful soup in the world. As you work your down the bowl of Tom Yum, the taste changes and is incredibly rewarding. The trick is using a good stock and getting your balance or Fish Sauce, lime juice, and sugar.

I remember the first time i made tom yum with the evaporated milk (because i only made tom yum without and used bastardised chilli paste) and my mind was blown on how much of a game changing it is, along with the tom yum paste which is uncommon in Malaysia to find the paste sitting on the shelf, so its really rewarding

Hey Marion! Thnx4 sharing this gr8 vid! Looks delich!! However, I've 1 qn. Instead of using plain boiling water, izzit alright if I replace that with the prawn broth for a richer flavor, where the head shells of the prawns are fried in the pan(w/o oil) 1st, afterwhich adding water & removing the shells, to add on other stuffs later on???

TIP: When looking for the lime leaves and galangal in areas where these products are not easily available...check the freezer section of your local Asian grocery store! I went nuts here checking 3 stores before accidentally finding it in the freezer! Lol
