My conversion from lukewarm Catholic to devout Catholic came as a result of a life changing dream I had in 2017. I went to bed at midnight and when I woke up from the dream it was 5am. God took me to hell in my dream. I was trapped there in outer darkness all night screaming for help and no one could hear me. I could feel the years passing by in my dream. The dream looped all night long as I screamed on helplessly. It was only when I screamed out for God to help me, he stretched out his hand and took mine. I could see light around his hand. Then I woke from that dream. It was after 5am when I awoke. That day I bought a crucifix and a rosary and completely turned my life around. This is a true story. That dream saved my life.

But the "Sign Lesson " in Jonah is the Universal ♾️ Salvation of the Ninevites! It was not Jonah's will that they should all repent and accept the Gospel, but It was GOD'S Will, and nothing is too hard for Him or His Son or the Holy Ghost 👻💜!
If you really want to be saved from this, you must follow the first commandment: Thou shalt have no other gods before me. You only got one hand out, not three. You have to think about this carefully. Good luck
May 2021, one month after my husband of 40 years died, I had a very vivid dream of Jesus sitting by my side. He was my friend, and I felt a sense of love coming from him that was so strong and all encompassing like a love I never felt before. His very short message in few words was how to live my life now that my husband was gone. I can still "see" this dream today clearly. When I follow his advice, I am at peace and things are smooth. When I accidentally do not, chaos. It also helped me strive more to become a better Catholic. I believe it was real, because I have never had such a strong memorable dream before, nor could I even imagine the love. People are amazed at how well I am doing since he died, without therapy. The faith and love has moved me forward with much ease.

I had dream with Jesus told me I will work for him, after few years they hired me work for Church ( secretary). I was working for 4 years.

After unsuccessfully trying to conceive for two years I went to my childhood church and went to see the Mary statue i visited so much when I was a teenager. I asked if she would pray for me to have another baby. I told God if it was his will that I only have one child I would accept it with his help and truly thanked him for my first boy. But, if it was his will, could I please bare another child so my son wouldn’t be alone. That week I dreamt we were watching fireworks from my front steps. My 3 year old was in awe of the giant fireworks. We got to the grand finale and the big last firework was so huge and covered the whole sky. It was in the image of Mother Mary and all the warmth and light fell over us. It was the most beautiful feeling of pure joy and love. I have never felt that twice. It’s indescribable the peace and love I felt was so PURE. I almost felt weightless.I looked down to the bottom of the front steps and excitedly ask my husband, did you see that? He turned around, beaming at me with a newborn in arms. Yes, I saw that! I woke up in a puddle of tears and feeling like my chest would burst! I was laughing as I ran to the drugstore for a pregnancy test. In my heart I knew it would be positive. It was so beautiful. I remember it clearly. My son is going to be 10 and he’s such a beam of light in my life. I can’t explain it, but that’s what happened. God is great

I sprinkle myself with Holy Water before sleeping. Also, I had dreams of praying the rosary in sleep. I remember waking up many times saying the “Hail Mary”, this is my prayer weapon during nightmares, the enemies vanish immediately with this prayer.

Honestly I always have my rosary on me. You never know when you may need to unsheathe this divine weapon. But I prefer to have it unsheathed at all times.
I always listen to Father Alair before I go to sleep. For the first time I'm afraid to go to sleep. I will say a few Hail Marys before going to sleep😮

My mother was a cradle Catholic but became a Protestant before I was born. I was raised Protestant (now Catholic) and I had many wonderful dreams of Jesus and the Saints as a child and I was also susceptible to nightmares. I remember one dream of being invited into the Ark by Moses and Noah (I now realize this is the Catholic Church), and I also remember a nightmare where I was in darkness being harassed by demons and witches. My guardian angel appeared to me in my dream, called me by my name and said “wake up.” I immediately woke up. My parents came in to console me and found occult images on a newspaper I brought into my room because it had cartoons on it.
I continue to have spiritual dreams as an adult, and I know now that when I am not in a state of grace, the bad dreams are God’s way of telling me to get my life in order. The most recent one was charity. I have unknowingly offended God by not being charitable. A demon had a hold on me but when I said “charity” it let go of me. I then lamented, “Oh, God, I have gravely offended thee.” Even in nightmares, God is merciful.
One final comment. I became Catholic because Our Lady appeared to me in a dream and gave me a Rosary (I was a Protestant married to a lapsed Catholic and didn’t know anything about the rosary). She showed me that a terrible, diabolical attack would take place on our family (it did), but the Rosary would stop it. It did. Praying the Rosary even physically liberated me from demonic oppression. I was suffering from a sudden terrible headache, and while praying the rosary, and meditating upon the sorrowful mysteries, I felt heat radiate from my head and a sudden relief from the debilitating headache. As the headache left me, I felt something kick or punch me on the inside of my body on its way out.
Our Lady is the most beautiful woman in the world. She brought me and my family into the Ark of her Son’s Church, and crushed the Devil’s head for me.
Thats awesome. I was brought up protestant but had catholic ancestors. I dreamed of the Jesus as Vilnius image of divine mercy for years as a kid. When i became catholic i realized that i had beeb baptized in a methodist church as a baby on divine mercy sunday

She brought me to her too. I was baptized Catholic as a baby and then my mom turned protestant after that. The Blessed Mother heard my suffering and embraced and consoled me. Unbelievable to the world! Somehow now I believe.

thank you, I know you don't know me but your comment is so thoughtful and timely, I am scheduled for eye surgery Tuesday, but the issue that is facing us is my husband is being tested for cancer, he is being so strong and I am so proud of him, but feeling so helpless. Yes, prayer helps, but I cannot help wishing I could help him.

In the year 2008, I had a very strange dream. I was raised by toxic parents who fought a lot. Anyway, I was 15 years old when my youngest sister was born. My parents were not capable of raising the child and so, my grandparents raised her. Both grandparents had died by the time she was 13 years old. I was an adult by then and tried my best to look out for her. In 2008, I was living with my mother and my two sisters. In April, 2008, I had taken my youngest sister to Six Flags, Great Adventure. We had a nice time. In September, 2008, I had a strange dream. I dreamt that I was again at Six Flags, Great Adventure with my sister. Suddenly everyone vanished. I saw my grandmother who raised us sitting on a bench. I was shocked to see grandmother because she had passed on. Grandmother looked very worried and upset. I remember saying to her "grandmother what is wrong?" Then I woke up and was a bit worried. I told my sister about my dream and said that grandmother was upset and looked like she wanted to tell me something but I woke up. My sister, Natalie, said "well it was just a dream." I shrugged it off as such and put it in the back of my mind.
Then, three months later, on December 13, 2008, tragedy struck. My youngest sister, Natalie was violently struck by a car. Her head hit the windshield and her leg was badly broken. She also had a broken pelvis. The doctors didn't know whether or not she would survive and if she did survive, she was in danger of losing her leg. I was shocked and in disbelief 😮.
I thought about my dream of my grandmother. Grandmother had always prayed the rosary down at the Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Germantown. I went there and prayed the rosary and the novena for her. A lot of people prayed with us. My sister survived the accident and was able to save her leg. She was very ill for a long time but she recovered.
As I said, God is an enigma, and I don't know if He allowed my grandmother to really visit me in my dream. I know that the accident would've upset her tremendously if she was alive. It was if she was trying to tell me to be careful.
The moral of the story is that God definitely tries to show us signs to help guide us. Maybe grandmother really visited me in my dream? Maybe it was just a dream? Nevertheless, the most important thing is to pray and to thank God for His mercy and his many blessings 🙏

I dreamt of saint Padre Pio a few months ago. I was sitting across from him at a long cafeteria table and all the other seats were taken by the happiest children I’ve ever seen. He said one word , “Adoration”. I woke up as soon as he said it. Saint Padre Pio pray for us ❤

Oh my, I had the same dream I had two demons dressed in black and hooded and faceless, outside my glass door but as they were behind the door they couldn’t get in because they were bound. They were bound. I ran to my dining room and I was safe there. When I woke up I was terrified but in real life my dining room is where I had about 80 framed biblical passages. It was a project I worked on during Covid. I felt as if THE word ( of God) from the Bible was what protected me- meaning that I could find all of the answers I seek in the Bible- guidance, direction, safety. That if I had faith in the Bible truths, trusted in what God said, I could let go of the Anxiety I was plagued with. And by the way, my name is Gloria, too.
In my nightmare, I dreamt that I ate a giant marshmallow. When I woke up, my pillow was gone...😁 Keep The Faith Folks.

I listen to sermons like these.
My mom has breast cancer stage 4. Exactly one year ago, my mothers health took for the worse.. I was pregnant and my mom was dying. I prayed so hard. So when I left my mother so she could get treatment I thought of Padre Pio, I for some odd reason I went to sleep and that night I dreamt of Padre Pio.. I was in the confessionary and he was speaking to me in his native language and all I got was pray and don’t worry!!! 😮 amidst everything that was going on… so coincidently I passed through his Shrine in PA and I felt the most comforting peace. My mom is much better but not going to lie some days are worse than others and I get discouraged but she’s doing better!
I had a dream of my dead friend asking to pray for her and I saw her skin rotten.
And I prayed for her soul on that morinng and kept praying for her soul....then I dreamed her again just passed by singing and her skin looked good.

There was a time ii was in so much stress and my life was very troublesome. One night i dreamt of St Benedict and calling for his help. Strange since i didn't know anything about about him and when i woke up and searched him up,I found out he is the patron saint of exorcists and deliverance. God was literally showing me that I needed deliverance!
The same thing happen to me 😮 but my husband had a dream of me.. and yes I did not know nothing of St Benefict❤ his my Saint ❤
My wife of over forty years died a year ago last April. I still dream that she is with me. Sometimes during the day if I have a nap. Lord Have Mercy
I'm so very sorry that you lost your wife, sir :( I'm also sorry that people can only "like" your comment, with out expressing empathy. Your statement reminds me of something I learned while working healthcare and from patients who had amputations - it's called phantom pain. Their muscle memory remembers. The brain is not yet used to that lim no longer being there. You were married 40 YEARS!! Of COURSE you are dreaming she is with you! That's a lot of time, a lot of memories, bonding, one flesh unions. It's fresh! She died last year. And you're still adjusting to life - sadly - without her. I am praying for your broken heart. I have aches too not for the same reasons. The Lord is merciful, dear one. He wants you to cling to and crave Him too.

My grandma died of Covid 2 years ago. Last year I had covid and had this severe pain in my throat. like broken glass. I went to bed and had a dream of my grandma and beside her is a man in bright white robe, she hushed me and the man put his hand on my throat and chest. I woke up crying and without the broken glass sensation in my throat. My grandma and my guardian angel healed me in my dream. 🙏🏻
I have sprinkled holy water on my bed and room when I have bad dreams or feel afraid out of no where. I have a rosary under my pillow as well. And I do what to share that having a rosary under your pillow has helped me feel safe and get good sleep without bad dreams

Same. Rosary under pillow or hanging from my bed post. I use exorcist blessed holy water to bless my room and myself before I go to sleep.
I bought 100 miraculous medals and spread them around my town and at the hospital during the pandemic. Plz say a prayer that I find my medals bc I had them in a bag somewhere and cannot find them anywhere. I had a bunch leftover after spreading around 20-30 of them in my town.
There was a point when I wasn’t sleeping well for over a week and decided to say some deliverance prayers before bed and sprinkled my room and bed with holy water and I slept like a baby that night. It works!
Holy water truly makes a difference I experience a lot of brain fog etc and I sprinkled holy water on top of my head one night and literally felt it refreshing and relaxing my brain. The feeling was amazing. If your having trouble sleeping try praying to St. Jude his prayers are never known to fail!
I had a dream where a monk told me my sins were forgiven. Then he told me my mother was out of purgatory! I hadn’t been thinking of my mother but she was a very good Catholic and died 30 years ago! I didn’t know what to make of it but I really felt at peace afterwords. Thinking about it the next day it made sense. My mom died from a sudden heart attack after coming home from Mass. However, she had a half sister that she said she’d never forgive. If the dream was true, perhaps she did have to spend some time there. I still have Masses said for her though.

The so called monk in dream told you that your sins were forgiven? That of course would not be true until you go to a validly ordained Catholic priest and confess them in reality. It seems dangerous because if you don’t have a strong belief in all the teachings/ dogmas of the Catholic Church, then you could have been misled into thinking you had just received absolution in a dream. That will never happen.
So be cautious. Prayers B to you.

2 weeks before the day of my licensure exam I was about to give up because I felt pressure and scared to failed the exam, but I dreamed God ,he give his two hands to me to stand up because I was lying in the shore and no plans to stand up, i feel very down, But God appeared and he gives his two hands to me wearing long white clothes, he comfort me, because of my dream I did not afraid to took the exam because I know God guides me and he is in my side ,still very clear in my mind even its 20yrs ago. I love you Lord
As far as dreams go. For a long, long time I had a lot of real bad dreams related to a bad devote where my wife cheated on me along with 2 back to back tours in Iraq.
One thing that really really helped me is playing Gregorion Chants and the Ave Maria on low in the background while sleeping. Several 10 hour plus vidios on TH-cam that has these.
But playing these have really really helped, I sleep much better and have much more pleasant dreams.
Plus Gregorion Chant sung in Laten and the Ave Maria help keep the Demons at bay. Ask any exorcist and they will tell you the same.

When I was converting, I asked in meditation about purgatory. I had a dream about it and it was dramatic. My guardian angel escorted me into it and showed me the suffering. I also saw a beautiful woman walking through the sufferers and would wipe brows and speak to them, bending over some to comfort. I saw beautiful angels enter and take a person out, embrace them and walk away together.
Oh wow.
This sounds so much like St Faustina’s vision of purgatory! It sounds like a true vision you were given. I find the subject of dreams really fascinating.
Thank you Father Chris. I do believe that God does communicate with us in our dreams. God sent the Angel to St. Joseph to tell him of the Annunciation.
I had a very strange dream in 2010. It was early December and I was engaged to be married to a divorced man. One night in early December, I had a very strange dream. I dreamt that I was at church with my fiancé where we we going to be married. Suddenly, I see Jesus standing at the altar smiling with His arms stretched out for us to receive Him. He was wearing a green robe with yellow stars. The stars had golden rays coming out of them. Jesus looked identical to the Shroud of Turin image. I was sitting in the pew kneeling with my fiance but we didn't go up. I woke up wondering what that dream meant as it was a bit extraordinary. I was quite moved by the dream. I remember it vividly to this day.
About two weeks later, we went to the priest to schedule the wedding. I come to find out that I was free to marry in the Catholic faith but he needed to get an annulment in order for us to be married in church. I begged him to get an annulment and he refused. He was extremely upset. I didn't want to break up with him but I didn't want to marry him outside of the faith and be excommunicated from the Catholic church. He flat out refused to get an annulment and I felt pressured to make a decision. My fiancé was extremely angry and he felt that I was being ridiculous and unreasonable because I said no. I didn't know what to do as it was a serious dilemma.
I thought about my dream and was wondering if the Lord Jesus Christ was trying to tell me something. I just couldn't marry him outside of the church. Ultimately, we broke up because I was not willing to be excommunicated.
I believe that God is an enigma. Sometimes, God does things to lead us down the right path. Whether it was just a dream or a genuine visit from the Lord Jesus Christ is unknown. I shall never forget how radiantly beautiful Jesus looked in my dream. Oddly enough, He was wearing the colors of Our Lady of Guadalupe. A green robe with yellow stars and it was December. Jesus didn't speak to us with words in my dream. His arms were stretched out welcoming us to come and receive Him in the real presence of the Holy Eucharist. I felt that had my fiance truly loved me he wouldn't have put me in a position to choose between my faith and him.
I chose the faith and I don't regret my decision. I was a bit angry at the Church for a long time because of the annulment laws. Years later, I come to realize that not marrying him was the right choice. I finally straightened out my life in 2017 and I have never been happier 😊
You IMHO as well as being visited by Our Lord in your dream given the Gift of Wisdom by The Holy Spirit 🕊️

I wish I could do the same, I have been with my husband for 20 years married through the Civil Court, but he keeps telling me that he will marry me through the church soon and then later on he will tell me no and he's been doing that for 20 years. I haven't left him because we have an 11-year-old son that has Autism, but he escapes at times and he's a hand full. He's close to his dad and I can't raise him on my own because my husband works while I stay home to take care of him when he has school breaks and to catch up on all his messes, while his in school. So I pray daily for him to marry me, since we have been married for 20 years and have a disabled child together. I truly need the Eucharistic and I'm need of a lot of prayers to get married soon through the Catholic Church, so we can be in total grace and go to heaven.

@SoyElegidaPorDiosEnSuCatolica I will keep you in my prayers. What I would do is talk to your parish priest and see if he can assist you with the annulment process. I would also make a commitment to pray the rosary daily for this intention. Keep your heart open and be patient. God will show you what to do. He'll open a door for you. I also suggest not nagging your husband about it but instead, give it to God. He'll take care of this situation in His time.
My fiancee dreamt of our Lady saying my mom who passed away needs prayers.
And another dream where Jesus told him that my fiancees father who passed away needs to go through purgatory as his father needs it.
Please pray for them too.
Purgatory isn't real so that dream obviously came from a demon to unsettle you.
I have had dreams from God or with Jesus since I was a small child. When I was 6, I began reading the Bible and looking at the pictures early before my family woke up. I began sharing with the priests during confession. As a young college student, I learned calligraphy. My professor encouraged me to incorporate calligraphy with my art. I have had many dreams over the decades and paint them, including scripture.I always pray for God's direction. I printed the cards and am now encouraged to write books with illustrations and calligraphy. Some people are blessed, and some people are offended. I have gifted my cards to my parish.
Thank you so much for doing this! I have done much research into this. Shortly after my conversion the Blessed Virgin Mary came to me in a dream and told me to pray the rosary. After that I taught myself how to pray the rosary and went on to Consecrating myself to her. Then later running the small group Consecration programs, rosary rallies, and many of things to help others draw closer to the Blessed Mother. I am unsure if I would have ever prayed the Rosary if it wasn't for that dream. She was so beautiful I could barely look upon her 😍 I can still hear her beautiful tender soft voice saying "pray the Rosary" resounding through my soul.

My experience with sleep paralysis deserves a separate comment.
I dreamt I was in Europe in a place of Marian pilgrimage (I had just been received into the Church). I saw a retired priest from my parish, and I was surprised to see him walking so well, so I took a look at him again and saw his face turn into a monstrous form. I was then rapidly tickled on my side, and I remember being annoyed by it. I woke up and found myself being pinned down by a black, transparent form. I made the sign of the cross and every time I got to “Holy Ghost” the demon would pin down my hand at “ghost” and not let me complete it. I did it a second time, slightly fearful now, and the same thing happened. I couldn’t complete the sign of the cross. I tried it a third time, now more afraid, and the same thing happened. I couldn’t complete the sign of the cross.
I didn’t know what to do, then the Holy Spirit gave me the prayer to pray. While still pinned down, I saw a spiritual pair of hands come together (my hands) and I prayed, “Heavenly Father, forgive me my sins” (i.e. The Lord’s Prayer). The figure couldn’t see my hands or hear me pray. As soon I said the last word of the prayer, I was instantly liberated and physically woke up and found myself on my side and not on my back.
I believe I was initially woken up in spirit. I could clearly see all the details of my bedroom. The black figure was exactly as Sr. Lucia dos Santos described in the vision of Hell at Fátima.
The experience gave me a better understanding of the Holy Spirit-who truly is our Helper. The Our Father Prayer is still the most perfect prayer Our Lord gave to us.

I did sprinkle our bed before sleeping and we had a very sound sleep. My insomnia got cured.
I have had several dreams with convincing thoughts of what is lying ahead of me. A couple of years ago, I had a dream in which I found myself lying dead in the hands of a person standing opposite an elderly fatherely figure sitting with a compassionate glance on his face. Though I was lifeless, I could feel the sense of an apprehensive anticipation of what this figure was going to pronounce. I don't remember anything after that but when I woke up the next morning, I got the impression that God gave me a new life. I disconnected every tie that held me to lustful thoughts and emotional adultery. My phone is a sacred altar for me to adore Jesus. I have progressed so much on the path of holiness, thanks to the abundant grace and loving mercy poured out through Christ. I am still a Hindu who got to know Jesus through a charismatic retreat a few years ago. I don't even have the freedom to pray to Jesus as I face stiff opposition from my spouse. Still I adore him in my heart and I listen to hundreds of of sermons on TH-cam to keep my faith alive. God will work miracles for me and I patiently wait for God to act.

Hinduism starts from one god and then there are multiple gods. Christianity starts from one God and then there are three. In fact, He is one God. How can he say in the first commandment, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me,” and then there are three, not one.! This is one mentioned in the Hindu books and all the ancient scriptures. Or even philosophical ideas. Or even the ancient Egyptians. He is one God worthy of worship. He is the creator of this universe. He neither begins nor is born.
Few months ago was my last sleep paralysis, though I can't open my eyes but my mind was clear and awake. Something or someone's chocking me that I don't know what it was. I want to scream but no voice comes out from my mouth. I pray to Saint Michael to defend me from what is attacking me. Then it suddenly vanished and I moved ,get up and drink water while thanking Saint Michael.
I've had those too. TERRYIFYING!
you need to do a sleep study for sleep apnea. people with undiagnosed sleep apnea often have heart disease as a side affect. I heard sleep apnea can cause sleep paralysis.

Christmas, 2004, I came back from Mass and took a nap. In my dream, I was driving along the shore and I saw huge waves, but they were running along the shore, not coming into it, and they were full of debris.
When I woke up, the first reports of the great Tsunami started coming in.
I sprinkle my bed with holy water all the time. I struggle with sexual dreams. I ask my Angel to guide my dreams every night and I always pray the Angel prayer 😊

For a year prior to becoming a Christian I had sleep paralysis every single night and a demon was with me in my room, crawled on my bed and then on top of me. I would awaken and think, phew that was terrifying, and look and see the demon standing next to me. Every night. It was torturous. I was baptized and didn’t have that experience for 12 years until I had my daughter a few months ago. I fell asleep holding her and awoke, paralyzed, to the demon from 12 years prior crawling onto my bed and telling me he was going to take my daughter from me. I baptized her in the sink afterwards and am now in the process of becoming Catholic.
I was having the wrost nightmare of my life and i recited the 23rd Psalms and i was totally releasede from the nightmare and a calmness flowed over and thru me , saved by the holy sprit
I had a recurring dream for over fifteen years that I was being chased by a dark person. When I gave my life to Christ, the dream went away permanently.

i used to be plagued with nightmares and when my father was fighting cancer for 3 years and died, i had a lot of sleep paralysis during that time. and after my father's death, he was always angry in my dream. 7 years later all my nightmares and angry dad dream ended. my father was standing at the top of the stairs in the house where we lived when he passed away, and he smiled at me. i never had a bad dream after that. a week later my mother told me she got a plenary indulgence for my dad. she gained that indulgence the day i dreamed my father smiled at me. i do find that my dreams deteriorate somewhat when i haven't been able to go to confession for a while.
I experienced sleep paralysis, 2x of the same night and I was so scared, someone was on top of me, pressing on my chest, I ca really tried to wake up and called on Jesus, it stopped and I woke up, I thought I had a heart attack...my anxiety started after that, and now I still have anxiety about my health, and Im actually tired with my anxiety and worries. I just want to mention that I too had sleep paralysis for years and it caused me anxiety too. I now take melatonin before bed and I no longer suffer from this. I hope this will help.

Fr. Chris, thank you for explaining the subject today on dreams in the light of the Catholic teachings. I find this very important for we must know how to react what to do with it. You have rescued us from many confusion of the world’s teachings and for all of these, I’m always profoundly grateful. Talking about dreams, I had experienced so many in the past that I wrote in my diary because it’s more on a spiritual journey of knowing Jesus and my living faith in Him. But one time, I also experienced that sleep paralysis and what you said about it is extremely true and scary. I did my best to say the name of Jesus because of the presence of the devil, but I could hardly say it, yet in a feeble manner, Je,Je, Je… till my husband woke up and I felt relieved. Then, I realised that no matter how tired I am from the day’s work, I must not make excuses of not praying before sleeping. Daily, I now spend one hour in the evening to do my spiritual reading, examination of conscience, thanksgiving and invoking the protection of my guardian Angel.

God nudges me every night to pray the Devine Mercy Chaplet cause He said the world needs it. If I forget, He wakes me up, & I sometimes say, “yes, ok, I know, I know” , then I start praying it. I then, usually fall asleep right after.
I had a dream about the protection of the Holy Name of Jesus. It was scary at first, but it ended up giving me comfort and was a good reminder not to leave the state of grace

I was very sorry to hear you took flack for a talk you gave on the charismatic movement in the Catholic Church. I have to tell you my personal observation on this subject. I did join a group over 20 years ago. But as quickly as I joined, I had to leave! I did not get out of it what many people were getting. To me it was a lot scarry and not at all Catholic! But what do I know, having grown up with the Latin Mass and not eating meat on Fridays and fasting from midnight on Saturday's before receiving the greatest gift of all, The Holy Eucharist.... God Bless you Fr. Chris and all our priests. Gone is the time of true reverance, when the church was a stronghold for all. When our priests were kissed on the hands for the very beautiful duty only they can perform the Mass. When the head was slightly bowed at the very mention of Jesus name. When to pass a Catholic Church, if you were unable to stop for a visit, you would bow your head or make the sign of the cross as an outward sign of love and respect. I didn't mean to go on so, but I wanted in my feeble way for you to know how appreciated you and all our priest are. God gave you all to us and His beautiful Church! God Bless all that you do for Him and for us.

We were the generation who had the Saturday afternoon activity of walking to our neighbourhood parish en masse to go to confession only to meet up again the next morning to attend Mass with our classmates and sit in a designated spot in church supervised by our classroom Sister. May God bless the Souls of those beautiful sisters who taught us hours every day in Catholic school and gave us the seeds of a great formation bearing fruit today. Some like me may have wandered through the years I thank God I’m back. Happy early birthday. 🎂. May God bless all of us , it it be His Will, with many more happy, healthy, holy and rational years.

I had a dream back in 2014..ifell asleep on my mother's sofa for the night..I was on a beach like I knew I was in Israel sea of gailalee.. There was a small coal fire burning n I couldn't tell if it was dusk or dawn but Jesus was there sitting speaking to me but I couldn't understand his words, he showed me his hands n it seemed like his precious blood flows into a wooden cup..there was 2 others sitting with us but they didnt speak..we were all dressed like Jesus's time.. after this it was over n I awoke n immediately I felt the most serene peace n comfort that I've ever ever felt n that's how I knew it really was the lord..I can never forget this. Jesus I love you and thank you
I try as much as I can to offer up all my suffering. For the conversion of sinners. For the souls in purgatory. And for the reparation of sins.

I visited a Monastery for a weeklong silent retreat at the Abbey of Gethsemani this past summer. The first 3 nights I had terribly vivid dreams with legions of demons. Oddly, they didn’t really scare me as I clung to our Lord and our Lady in prayer, IN my dreams. 4th night I was finally rid of the dreams, and I slept like a baby. Also, I SELDOM have spiritual type dreams, much less three nights in a row. It felt like I was in battle every single night. I told my husband, and I agree with him that if demons are going to be anywhere, it’s going to be where the most spiritually pure and those who are striving for the most holiness are. They probably pester the heck out of those monks. So yeah, very unsettling. ✝️✝️✝️ St. Michael the Archangel protect us in battle.

Some 16 years ago before my Uncle died last 2009, I dreamt of his wake n by the time I attended his actual funeral w/ my dad, it was really eerie n gave me chills; this other dream I had 12yrs ago before this actual thing happened in Gaza, Israel now I dreamt of it-- watching it on the news it's like a DEJAVU, so I guess all that I saw in my dreams before was a supernatural talaga like mga pakitain sa kin ni Lord. My husband passed in 2007, I sprinkled Holy Water over me and around to bless everyone , especially my family and friends in the morning and evening. I also wear one of my many Rosaries.

I dream of my mom and I’m always at her house, with my little kids. It’s always in the past. It’s more real than any dream I have about anyone else. I believe she really is visiting me through my dream. I really need a dream tonight mom. Please.
My dream was of the Virgin Guadalupe. She was so BEAUTIFUL! Nothing was said she just stood in front of me. When I woke up, I bawled. The feeling that it left was unexplainable. I couldn’t even talk about it without crying, because the feelings and emotions that I had when I seen her would all come back, when I talked about it. And the crazy thing, that same day, I went to my mother-in-law’s and she said look I bought you a blanket and she opens the blanket and it had this big image of the Virgin Guadalupe just as I had seen her in my dream the night before. I just cried when I seen it. But no one knew why I cried, because I hadn’t been able to tell them.
My mom who had recently passed weeks before that time, prayed to her for as long as I can remember.
So for me, that was my moms way of connecting with me. And showing the beauty of the Virgin.
Sometimes I wake up at 3 am and I pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. It happened again tonight. Sorry Father I'm have to go back to sleep, I'm not ready to get up.

My Jesus hear my help me heal me remove all evil
Father, I enjoyed your talk about dreams. I’m a senior citizen and didn’t always sleep well. One thing that greatly improved my sleep was removing my cell phone from the bedroom. It charges in a different room now. Since doing that I dream all the time, although I remember few of them. One recent one that I vividly recall is that of me walking into my kitchen to find it raining over my stove. Note: cooking is not my favorite thing to do. Since rain can indicate blessings from the Holy Spirit, maybe this is telling me that it’s a good thing for everyone else, that I use my stove infrequently 😂
PTSD has been a rollercoaster for over 25 plus years. Wish they could all go away someday.

Good wise advice. I am not a Catholic, but an ex Romanian orthodox who has moved to the Church of England. Over the years, I had a few dreams which stood out as from God and Jesus. I also had dreams of fighting evil, where I found myself powerless until I started praying to the Lord in earnest and suddenly I was delivered from evil. There is this huge danger that we start feeling superior because of a dream. In fact, on our faith path, whether asleep or awake, at any point our pious gestures, feelings and actions can be hijacked and turned into their opposite by the deceiver when pride arises. God help us keep our humble soul. Amen.
I’ve had several dreams of demons and sleep paralysis when I was away from the church. I’ll never forget them , God did use them to get me closer to him. Since coming back I have not had them .

I used to be attacked all the time. I leave my Bible open to Psalms 91 and it never happened since. I also came to realize when I did get sleep paralysis it was a change about to happen in my life. Like a move or job change.
Thank you for explaining this. I had dreams of what my soul looked like in god’s eyes. It was so powerful that I gave up my sinful life and returned to the church. Ever since than , the Devil has been attacking me in my nightmares.

I had a total of 4 dreams; the first one, was when I was around 7 years old and I was dreaming that a man was at my window with a knife and wanted to kill me. So I ran out of the house; don't ask me why did I do that, since I was already safe inside my house and he was outside, but nope I ran outdoors, where he was. He started to chase me and I kept on running in the dark and a bright light came down upon me and the man stopped and was trying to look at the light, like me, but it was so bright that you couldn't see and all I hear is God speaking to me and telling me don't worry my child, no one will ever hurt you and I woke up. I was told by a nun; that it was because I wrote a letter to God when was I small and I made him a promise, which I don't remember what it was. In the second dream, I was in an apartment with some friends and they froze while I was talking to them, so I walked over to the window, and everyone and all the cars were frozen in time. The clouds turned into stairs and the 3 kings went up the cloud stairs and the sun and moon went into an eclipse. To this day; I don't have a clue what it means or why would I dream that. In my third dream; I dreamed that the world was ending and there were small mini Tornadoes 🌪 all over in the skies, Earthquake, Hurricanes🌀, and Volcanoes 🌋 erupting lava chasing me to the point that I ran into the Ocean and the lava flow over the water and cover me, I bang on the lava afraid of drowning and dying stuck in the ocean under the lava and all was Happening at the same time. It was horrible and scary then I woke up. In the fourth dream, Jesus and Mother Mary came to visit me and both were holding each other hands and smiling at me, they looked so beautiful 👸🫅together as mother and son. Now are all these dreams from God?

Your second dream could be about the Illumination of Conscience (aka The Warning), which the whole world will experience at the same time. Catholic mystics say this will last for about 15 minutes, during which we will see our souls as God sees them, and we will be led to repentance. There is a book about it called "The Warning" by Christine Watkins. It's available in Spanish, too.

Thank you Father I have always told our LORD I would always call on him if I was scared. One night I had a dream that the devil was chasing me. It scared me so much I called out to our LORD of course the devil was gone. I woke up and thanked the LORD and slept with the Bible in my arms.
When I was 18 my 17 y.o. cousin died, I had a dream that Jesus pulled someone up by hand through the clouds. Then I woke up and my parents told me that my cousin had died in a car accident, he was the only one who died in the accident.
After watching this video that night I dreamt of my ex girlfriend, my old job, going to bathroom and stuck in a building trying to get out including blocked stairways and long overcrowded hallways. Not even kidding felt so real. Subconscious is powerful.
My sleep paralysis were really scary as I went about cemetery go thru walls try to wake up and couldn't all I can say The name of Jesus has power!

I am a usual vivid/lucid dreamer. I always remember my dreams and I can sometimes remember two or more dreams. I am humbly saying this.
Long ago I had a dream I know that is from God and it shows there that there is a temple and Mary is at the center. There are childrenon the sides in groups of twos. And there is a long line of people (I forgot if there are adults) I remember clearly that on the front lines are young children with hands in prayer. I also viewed the dream in a very high bird's eye view and I am up in the clouds. I saw many angels with the children. It shows that Mary are revealed most profoundly to those whith child-like faith. And only with humble submission and faith can we acknowledge and venerate Mary pleasingly. This dream is on my mind while I was watching this video.
Also, related to St. John Bosco's dream, past around this Christmas, still Christmastide.... I dreamed that I had been sexually harassed and sexually explicit images of a man and women are in front of me. Then I walked out of the room and saw an impending doom, I felt it. It was a huge building. With many floors and rooms. White stone building, similar to my highschool Saint Edward School Lancaster (not necessarily to involve them with the sin happening in my dream). Then I shouted, repent! I saw people on my left, and they also shouted "Repent!" We also raised our hands. Then at the exterior wall of each room was a sign and bible verses in red background. They were warnings and rebukes. I shouted them too.
I was walking forwards the hallway. And this is where it gets so heartbreaking. I am very emotional especially when I saw the dream of St. John Bosco today. In my dream, in front of me, beside the building was a very large ship, very similar to the ship on the image here in the video. It was also night time and the sea or ocean was turbulent. The ship is facing the building. Then there is a large sign near the ship that there is a human who is/will be also there in the ship. Is it I, I thought. And want to help. (I love the song "🎶 Is it I Lord? I will go Lord if You lead me I will hold Your people in my heart." Okay back to the dream.) A man tapped my back then the next moment or scene in the dream was that I am in the ship. There were already people who are attacking the ship. (I don't know when but I certainly heard the name "Noah" or the phrase "The time of Noah" in the dream, specifically in the boat. Idk what that means.) Then I fought for a little while, saying something. But then ran upwards the ship, running away from the enemies.
The end of what I can remember. I just thought that it is important. I hope God will be the judge and if this could be any help? Then that's better. Btw, I struggle with lust and always go to confession for cleansing. Merry Christmas 2023
Thank you for bringing this up Fr. Alar. I've had dreams throughout the past thirty year's plus. I've dreamed of two children three yrs. before I had my son/daughter even when I was diagnosed 'Endomitosis and was told by Doctors that I could never have kids. I had 5 dreams every night for 5 nights that my son was going to be in Heaven, 3 months before his death at 24yrs. old The dreams were most beautiful and in technicolor that's hard to describe. I had a beautiful dream of my dad about three or four months after his death again, 'heavenly!' I did have a dream of my mother several months after she passed but it was not a good dream so I continue to pray for her and offer Masses for her. I've also had and continue to have instances where I will be thinking of something and it comes true whether that day or the next. I also had a wooden rosary become extremely hot as I was praying the 'Sorrowful Mysteries.' The rosary never burned me and lasted for about Thirty seconds. I've been saved by my Patron St. Michael when I was in my teens and twenties, I was born on his Feast day. There's more but I'll stop now....
