    Very innovative build. I'm glad you explained why there was a belt and chain drive system. I wonder if you can add 80- 100 kg steering servo to the front so you can steer it with the transmitter while not riding the board.

    Absolutely insane ! A complete masterpiece. Would love to take it for a test drive. Great work

    i like how you described why a 34 inch drive axle needs a differential, lol. but, there is another way....i'm in the works on my own extra wide long board (street) and i found sprag clutch bearings that fit into my wheel hubs.

    • @TechForumTesla
      @TechForumTesla  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You will have problems with sprague clutches. When you throttle, the inside rear wheel will drive as much as the outside rear wheel and it will make the axle oversteer and bind. You will need to coast around corners for the sprague clutches to work.
      Trust me, if there were any way around using differentials, I would have gone that route.
      One other major problem with sprague clutches is braking. You will have no brakes.

    Deck grip tape, or even better boot mounts like on a snow board. Looks like tons of fun

    • @AG.Floats
      @AG.Floats 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'd hate too crash on anything on hard group while locked into the board lol...

    • @marsbase3729
      @marsbase3729 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@AG.Floats I agree, but on skateboards you can have Bindings with no heel straps that you can slip out of if you need to bail. It gives extra control over the board in conjunction with grip tape, especially over rough ground

    You could build a small frame that attaches to it that would support a rug. Presto, you got a magic carpet ride!

    What a fantastic creation. You have put so much thought and effort into it. Looks like a lot of fun. All you are missing is some grip tape so you dont slip off . Keep inventing!

    I would make the width of the feet plate a little smaller than my shoes when they are on my riding stance. I'd put snowboard straps to be able to ride it way more aggressively.

    • @TechForumTesla

      I know all about threw baja board. That board is a completely different design, though. I was talking about full axle steering skateboard style vehicle. The baha board is an independent suspension board that is completely different in design.

    Can’t help but wonder....
    What would you think if you could steer the board with the steering wheel. Could probably use some 5 scale servos and what have you... You would definitely kno more
    About this idea then I do.
    And I’m sure you’d have to fabricate a bunch of other stuff, but why not... a steering set up similar to rc?? Just a thought

Well done!

    So..... please tell me you’re considering making and selling these... also. Would you like to make one to handle 300 pounds. I weight 275. And with video equipment and r3 cars being carried. Just say 300 pounds. Also. I can totally see us making a sport rock climbing these bad ass rides! Could you imagine that as a “sport”! I can, haha! Also. What about putting underneath the board a 25-50 watt or more solar panel. That way. When you’re out in about. You flip it over and allow the sun shine to charge the batteries. Also, regen braking would also be awesome! Dude! All I see is money money money! Let’s do this!

      I have two clients that have offered me $7,500 for it.
      The issue is, I have about $2,000 spent on it and about 150 to 200 hours of labor building it. Nearly every part was custom made.
