@ you are totally right, won’t be many around that is for sure. It’s really a shame that people are not interested in smaller EVs. Once leases are up for these and they hit the used market I will have to get one myself as a fun city car.
@@simplygregsterev good idea! Even tho it’s getting cold still relevant info for Canadians who have to deal with winter EV driving during a few long months of the year. Worth to document this i think.
@@simplygregsterev haha exactly ok now I’m hyped for the video! Before you publish it you can do a community post and poll our guesses for the range during cold weather and on winter tires.
Genuinely surprised the Fiat has more interior space than the Mini! Hard to argue with that Mini's styling and build quality, though; looks great in that British Racing Green.
It’s too bad the Fiat isn’t selling well. Such a cheerful car, but particularly Americans expect a car of its size to be cheaper. Great review, I enjoyed it
@@BensEcoAdvntr Even here in Canada its expensive yea after rebates its around 30k which is about correct. I think a big problem is lots of people think. Small = Cheap.
You mention quite a lot how the build quality on the Fiat is not "great". It's an understatement. These cars were known to fail miserably in winter. They age like milk. It's a throw away product.
I’m trying to be nice! I will see how it holds up during the winter here. Its a lease so I am Not keeping it long but no real issues to report from people on the European forums
I would take the Fiat too. Looks great. Just need to wait a bit for them to hit the used market and buy one as a second EV. Great comparison.
@@LeftCoastEV I suspect they will be a good option on the used market. Although will be a bit scarce

@ i should do a range test with the 500e. Its getting cold now though

I’m sure the boot on the mini is bigger on paper. 210 litres v 185 litres. Also more room for rear passengers in the Mini. Cheers for the video.
Nah in real day scenario the Fiat has more room. Boot in fiat is much deeper
Maybe the J01 has more room in the back. I had an Abarth 500e and couldn’t sit in the back. I can in the J01.
@@TheUrbanSplash J01 is larger and deeper. F56 and 500e are about the same with room in back. Fiat interior is more spacious oddly enough

"Now I'm not saying SimplyGregster is incontinent..."
Are you ready to laugh!!!
Why you test the old Mini Electric? In 2024 Mini introduced the new Mini Electric E and SE. Would be fair to compare that one with the Fiat.
@@MarcelGroenendijk The new 2025 J01 Mini isn’t sold in Canada or USA that’s why.
