    Here's an idea for an isekai: reincarnation but to a world where *everybody* is a reincarnation. The basic premise would be the gods judge the workaholics who fulfilled their social obligations in life and were generally good people, but who didn't really get much out of life because they were just worker drones. The gods don't want to send them to hell because they didn't do anything wrong, but they can't send them to heaven because the worker drones have too many regrets. So the gods send these souls to this reincarnation world with a command to "have fun this time around!"
    So then these characters are born and when they are like 1 years old their parents are already asking them about their past lives and the toddlers are having full conversations because everybody is in on the reincarnation deal. When the kids go to school, the classes usually don't teach anything because the kids already know the subjects, so instead they are told to relive their childhood and the greater emphasis is on building friendships. And while everybody knows about modern technology, few are willing to actually make it due to high magic and the fact if they just build the place up to being the modern world 2.0 they'd be missing the entire point of the world.
    If you happen to make manga, *please* steal this idea and I don't even need credit.

    (I haven't read the manga yet) I assume the reason "Source code" is faster is because it programs magic from a lower level meaning that the magic doesn't go through multiple layers of code instead it goes through the bottom level which means making the magic would be harder since you have to program everything

      @@usrnewxnew5227more like assembler vs compiled language. To be fair in that scenario irl advantages are not THAT apparent, atleast when the codebase is sufficiently large.

    • @jled787
      @jled787 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Shonicheck Yep, a template for low level magic as the difference between the spells are just elemental typing. It is also highly efficient in mana usage and since its a template, a mage can essentially use an unlimited amount of spells (given their thought processing can handle it) at the same time which is perfect for dueling and eliminating mobs.
      Not that the MC can't use high level spells, but he is very limited in talent according to him as he needs to concentrate on the advance to high level spells more than a regular mage.

    I began reading the webtoon first and after while I found myself 350 chapters deep in the Novel.
    Trust me this story gets really good. They go really in depth with how this world's laws and magic works despite the familiar themes here and there. The real highlight is Ludger, as everything he does is just so cool. Not to mention the side chacraters feel alive compared to others in the genre. This is a really worth while story and its only really just begun. From reading the novel I guess that we're not even half way through. So far the story continuos to unravel Ludger's backstory in the new world. All in all I just can't wait for them to adapt more of the story in a webtoon format.

      “Boundless Necromancer” (or “Boundless Ascension”) has the mc use collected souls as a source of both regenerative power, energy, and defense, consuming the souls in the process. And the current arc is very much leaning into the moral struggle of wanting to become stronger, but also maintaining your humanity as someone who gets stronger through massacre.

    What you mentioned about the Isekai genre being taken over by more "romance" isekais are actually called Otome Isekai! It's my favorite genre right now because it's mostly filled with heroines (I'm a woman so I love that), though there can be exceptions such as: Trash of the Count's Family and even your favorite The Greatest Real Estate Developer (I count it because even if the main characters are men, they are mainly the non-combatants, and Otome Isekai in my opinions does not need to have romance)! My girl friends and I really got into these separately and it's so fun to talk about and share our recent finds, especially since it's a new and budding genre (or subgenre of isekai).

    Feel like I should comment on the fact that all of his "identities" are characters from popular series and media or a real person (usually a main character or villain). James Moriarty appears throughout Sherlocke Holmes as a villain that always escapes Holmes or is caught but later set free. Abraham is a vampire hunter who hunts Dracula. Machiavelli was an Italian Author and diplomat. Arsene Lupin (the gentleman thief) is a thief that always gets away, while mailing the police ahead to tell them his target item and the time/day he'll steal it to give them a chance.
    I highly recommend all media that these characters are based on, even if most of them were published 100+ years ago.

Isekai is about people from Setting A being apruptly brought to Setting B. Most of these stories however take place in Setting A after a massive (usualy cataclysmic) change has occured. It has isekai elements, entering a dungeon for example being a temporary isekai, but the main setting of the story is the one where the MC comes from. When it comes to stories playing the "Person everyone thinks is an OP Genius but isn't", (ex: Ains, Cid, Mr Satin etc.), my favorite ones are the ones where the person IS genuinely competent and smart, but not enough to meet the persons expectations.
    Of the ones I listed, Cid is the best example of this. He really is the best in a fight and he's an excellent actor, it's just that he isn't as good as everyone thinks he is at planning and information gathering, but even then he's no fool.

    1:01 idk where the idea of reverse isekai being fantasy elements appearing in a normal world comes from. Reverse isekai is, to my knowlege, the term for the literal inverse of isekai: character from fantasy world appears in a normal setting.
    As far as I know this definition of reverse isekai has been around since If the devil was a part timer and predates the many dungeon and tower manwha. I don't know what the proper term for them is but if they are reverse isekai (which I don't agree they are) then they are the sub category.

    • @RyugaruSenbi
      @RyugaruSenbi ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Here's why I disagree that thes are reverse isekai: No character is getting isekai'd. The main characters aren't apruptly removed from their home setting (the whole point of a goddamn isekai) the setting itself is changed. Honestly when to worlds start overlapping or bleeding into each other (as is usualy the case for these stories) a lot of isekai elements are involved but the mechanics of the story are fundementaly different. To explain more detailed aboute the "source code" inspiration, basically code are instructions, but every instruction is a math operation, just that it isn't aparent in high level programming languages, so specifically when programming there are multiple ways for making stuff like reordering a list as an example, depending on the mathematical equation you use to reorder elements or even the data structure where the elements are can increase or decrease the time of reordering them, it could change for example if it has 60 elements take 8.31^e81 seconds, to 3600, to 60, or even just 1second. Now a hash table is a structure o complexity = 1, so you can search exactly the element you want pretty much instantly(there is still stuff that could lead to worse performance but you get the idea), based on this idea you can input the keyvalue so that it brings up the element you want(in that case a completed magic formula).
    If you want a concrete example of that you can search for reordering algorithms like bubble merge and quick sorts, for data structures list, arrays, bst and hash table. I'm still a student so I may not be the best to explain it and I could even be wrong at something, but I can find that relation between the both and if you want to verify you can investigate yourself.

    I highly recommend “Kubera: One Last God” (a.k.a. Kubera).
    Synopsis:
    *In a world with gods having everlasting lives, suras who possess unrivaled power, and humans who caught helplessly in between, a girl with a god's name, Kubera, is born-a girl who is prophesied to bring great change into the world.*
    *When Kubera's peaceful village meets its fiery end, a mysterious magician named Asha comes to her rescue. Together they begin a journey in search of answers and revenge.*
    It has many different magic systems with their own rules, and it's related to the species of the characters.
    The rules are very consistent. There are some exceptions, but we are provided with explanations that make sense and are plot relevant.
    There are 3 main species, plus some subspecies. Each with their unique characteristics.
    Their morals and values are shaped by their species and individual circumstances.
    It's a slow burn story, especially in season 1. But this allows for good world building that feel natural. It doesn't feel like you get info dumped.
    There are 10 main characters. They aren't on the same side.
    *“This is a war with no villains, only victims”* (- Kubera season 2 prologue)
    This sentence really represents Kubera well.

    Other than Mushoku Tensei and TBATE, isekais skip the early stages of the isekai life and skip to the academy part where most of the main drama and action happen. The thing about this Manhwa is that it does exactly that but the world feels more developed and you get to learn more about the main character as the story moves forward and learn about what happens in his past. I think that just makes the manhwa more intriguing and kept me hooked. Super Underrated manhwa tbh glad someone on youtube finally talked about it.

      Honestly I don't really want to see a kid floundering around for 50 chapters or have a literal child become too op in the beginning. I'm pretty sure the authors that write the manhwa know that we don't want that

    • @VeryGarb
      @VeryGarb ปีที่แล้ว

      @@arb1ter993yea but some isekais do it well like mushoku tensei where we see the build up and Rudy's build up to be OP. Whereas the shit trashy isekais just make the MC OP without reason, thats where my comment comes in saying that this isekai is just built different as it gives us a timeskipped OP MC but still interesting.

  • @Jack-lo5me
    @Jack-lo5me ปีที่แล้ว +2

    HAHAHAHAHAHA-
    My man really made his aliases cool/smart/series characters from books-
    Moriarty (Pronounced More-ee-ar-tee) is a main villain from Arthur Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes.
    Arsene Lupin is a gentleman thief from a writer around the same time as Arthur Doyle who actually got popular enough to go against a parody of Sherlock Holmes, as due to copyright the author couldn’t actually use the name.
    From the original Dracula, Abraham Van Hellsing is a kindly man and scholar who just so happens to be a seasoned Vampire hunter. And everytime something involving Vampires comes up, he gets super serious, and is kinda a mainstream originator of the trope of the goofball turning serious and getting stuff done. The name Hellsing has inspired SO many monster-hunting shows or anime, you have NO idea-
    Machiavelli was a diplomat/writer/philosopher who wrote ‘The Prince’, which was basically him writing a rule book for kings and nobles to act. It specifically outlines cases where a ruler can use abhorrent means to get stuff done, as long as it is for the good and prosperity of the nation. His pension for outlining how to manipulate people into doing what you want is how we have the term “Machiavellian” or “Machiavellian Schemer”.
    God I hope one of his aliases is fucking Alucard- XD

    8:37 He does it to show the unlimited possibilities with magic. The Klein Bottle cannot exist in the real world (I mean 3d space). It can only exist in 4 spatial dimensions so him being able to do that means magic transcends 3D space and could do more. For example, we can see everything (2d) in a piece of paper so if there is a house then we can see everything in it. From the perspective of a 2d creature, they can only see the walls. Same with 4d, they can see though our walls, we cannot escape.

    Dude gets reincarnated and starts to live in a monster village. While he is out hunting one day a human inquisition shows up to purge the monster village. He comes back and has a mental break.
