When we desperately wanted to hug but were on different sides of the continent we listened to "Hugging You" When we wanted to emphasize the importance of each other, we sent songs like "Got Gold" or "My Life Is a Song for You" We were silly dancing on songs "Flourishing" and "Us" When one of us was busy the other was teasing with "Busy and Important" You made our story more colorful because your music matched with our moods and feelings so well. There was a matching song in almost every situation. Now we are no longer together and listening to this new album is so nostalgic and comforting at the same time. I love how sad songs contain so much hope and optimism. Great album, I'm happy that I am back listening to your music, and strangely it has more healing powers than I expected.
Dear Tom, Sorry for my bad English, but I want to share with you my story and you will understand how important your music is to me... and my story is 100% the truth. I have a LOT of migraine attacks, very regularly, I need to throw up etc etc To the point the government helped me so I can work from home for flexibility. There are still more good days than bad days, thanks God, but if not I would opt for euthanasia. it's that bad ! So this is my ritual...when I have such a migraine attack... I take neurofen, I turn on the computer, I go to TH-cam and choose your album, I crawl into my bed and then I listen to your music and step by step my migraine attack goes away and I get my health back and together with this also my energy. This ritual means the world to me, so I just wanted to let you know I have a VERRYYYY special bond with your music !! and now today .. I've seen there is good news, You have an other album :)
When Anthony Fantano first learned about sleepy music, did he know Tom had made an album (and now a second) with that distinct purpose? So beautifully meditative, I have indeed fallen asleep listening to the first Z-sides and soon I will do the same to Zz-sides. Looking forward for the third installment, Zzz-sides.

I just noticed that it was already again 4 years ago when 2 of my kids "starred" in the hugging you video and I guess another 4-5 years when my kids where all little ones when we listened at least to 1-2 of your songs when I put them to bed every evening. Such wonderful and fond memories, all connceted to you and your music. Perfect timing on this release, I've been off work this week (On purpose!) I've just turned 30 (Which has been playing on my mind naturally) So I wondered through the park for a short trip, the weather is perfect jumper weather! I've just got back home, put on an even cosier jumper, with a cup of chai tea in hand, the sun hitting the distant trees and houses out of the window, and the room is just heating up. Was listening to you almost 6 years ago yet. I discovered you with "Solo". Then, I got in a relationship and I introduced my ex-girlfriend to your songs. She absolutely loved them. It's been fours years since we broke up. And recently, she texted me to see each other after 2 years with no contact. And still with thoses few years when we didnt have any contact, she told me that your songs are still reminding her of our relationship and me. And I felt that.
