Congrats from Europe.. ! ;0)
I know you're an amazing detailer but here's a fun fact from someone a little bit older all you do is spray clear coat over those parts before you wax it and it will look almost the exact same sometimes it will look the exact same and you won't even notice the difference and it's a lot less than paying $10,000 for a new paint job
You’ve given this family an opportunity to see the car in its former glory. There is obviously a family bond with this vehicle; their emotional expression says it all. Thank you for helping this family. It put a smile on my face this morning.
What a wonderful gift you gave to the owners of the Viper. You restored it to even better than when they ever had it. Their emotions when they saw the finished product were gratitude enough for the excellent work you all did for them. You restored a car, but you restored their brother's memory!!!
Exactly. This video brought me to tears. In 1991 my big brother and I, me 19 and him 21, went to the local Chevy dealer and on the showroom floor was a brand new red 91 Corvette and a black Camaro. I was looking at the Vette when he pointed to the Camaro and said this one has a back seat..if you ever get a girlfriend. One day before his 22nd birthday we were t-boned by a drunk in our 85 K car. He was killed and I was injured for life. Last year I bought a 91 Camaro RS just like the one we saw that day. I know that emotion he's feeling. It's not just the car. It's the images of his brother alive and well. Great video guys!
Sheez, losing his brother and then 11 heart attacks, that's insane. The Viper turned out great, I hope this gentleman can get enough money together to fully restore this awesome machine!
It’s amazing how much material things mean to people especially a sentimental one. It seems like he would have kept it in the barn to preserve it as much as possible. The family were very appreciative. Great job.
As a viper owner (2003- 3rd Gen), it breaks my heart to see one in this state. Come on man, how much does it take to throw a tarp on the thing? BTW, this black example is a 1st Gen (1992-95) - No door handles, soft plastic removable windows, after-thought removable roof - a real bare-bones sports car - The “spiritual successor” to the Shelby Cobra.
Yep, never a car that wanted to kill you more than a viper, if you’ve ever driven a viper you’ll know that the car has no feelings for what it does to you, and it will lose traction if you so much as look at it wrong. One of the best street cars, but also one of the most dangerous due to the sheer lack of traction control, anti lock brakes, or stability control at all.
Honestly. I consider myself a car nut. I own a 2006 GTO. Unique car. Gotta love the Viper! Anyway. I've watch plenty of episodes of coffee walk with Dennis Collins he buys plenty of barn finds ect. All the time he mentions how covering cars when they are outside are a lot of times worse. He actually says to not cover them. I was shocked myself. In these situations they should probably just throw up a portable harbor freight carport.
I had a convertible for six years. These just aren't cars that you park outside. Even in a driveway, let alone a field. An EZ Up car shelter is so cheap as a last resort.
Lol I don't think his daughter will ever have to worry about that at this rate. Why would they care enough to get the car running if they're okay letting it rot in a field for the rest of it's life.
@@UpperRobin29 the guy who owns it is barely clinging onto life after multiple heart attacks.... I think we can forgive him for letting this car sit outside a few years. I'm sure the clear coat was oxidizing before that anyway. Let's be thankful he didn't let it go to a junkyard.

Looks great. I remember how amazing this looked back when it came out. There was a red one on the showroom floor all roped off. I think the design still looks good for a 28 year old car.
I would try and keep it as much as in original state I could, and only replace whatever it needs to be replaced. I love the story behind this car, so emotional!
That has got to be the worst idea I’ve heard. It needs a clear coat or the paint won’t be able to be shined up. People like you stop cars like this from being in good condition due to “sentiment” needs to be restored like it was from the factory!
Spent many hours with Viper Engineers working on this vehicle. Loved everything and everyone associated with this iconic car. Glad you brought it back to life.
A couple of comments. First, I’m so happy you guys got a new sponsor. That’s fantastic. You guys deserve it. Second, I have a suggestion for you. I think it would be great if you would either put it in text on the screen or comment during the video every time you use a product on a vehicle and tell us what the product is, or at least what its purpose is. I’m always wondering what you’re spraying or using on the car. At the beginning of this video, for instance, you sprayed the vehicle with something and I am wondering if it’s an iron remover or what exactly it is. It would be so much more helpful and informative if you would let us know. Thanks!
I know this guy that does detailing with many years of experience, he does wonders. I've asked him many times about which products he uses but he tells me that its top secret. So only he knows where he orders his products. I really don't mind him not telling me. He does a grrreat job on every car he works on 💯 my respects. I think 🤔 he does a better job than these guys but then again they're still very young.
I'd restore it from top to bottom. Have it repainted reclear coated. Replace the rugging in grey and put a hard convertible top instead of the soft top it will protect the inside better. I think that's what the brother should do. That would honor the other brother. Keeping it in disrepair isn't a way to honor the brother. Also I think the speakers will have to be replaced. Also all those dash pieces are gonna have to be replaced or painted. Have the engine looked over check for any rust on it as well as the chassis or other suspension systems.
Agree 100% on everything you said. I’d start underneath and replace all bushings etc. I don’t know if you could remove the car from the chassis, but I’d spare no expense especially since they are sadly no longer made.
@@jimwiskus8862 yeah you can remove the body from the chassis it's not easy (lol) but it can be done. But I agree with you spare no expense to make sure the car is in excellent condition and shape. This would make the brother in heaven happy.

It's painful seeing someone allow a Viper to get neglected this way like a common Mustang. Oh the humanity! Thank you for trying to revitalize one of the most amazing looking cars ever made.
what a beautiful thing to do, for him and the car. my late step dad had a viper when i was in elementary school. i was a little girl so i really didnt appreciate it then. i do remember the seatbelts being on the inside, on the left for the passenger. wonderful job
28:38 a nice clean vehicle is the same to a man as a trimmed beard and new suit. You create a sense of freshness and rejuvenation in a world of things that get thrown away when they’re “not cool anymore.” Your work is noticed brother💪

@@larryw5429 that guy didn’t look like he had a lot of money the amount it costs to keep up with this is probably why it was left the way it is. Be humble some peoples situations are worse then your own. Also don’t think a 70 year old man that’s had 10 heart attacks is gonna be out there wrenching on a car. That’s also a factor god what’s wrong with you
My thoughts as well. Considering that it sat outside for years in all sorts of weather with a window missing I suspect that it’s just a matter of time before it gets neglected again. They should sell it to someone who is able to properly maintain and care for it.
I've seen so many of these cars back in the 2000s that I don't call this car a barn find. A lot of people think that the cars from the 90s that were popular as junk yard finds, like one time a Chrysler pt cruiser was a junk yard find, as one dude called it, but the pt cruiser was popular back in the day.
Beautifully cleaned! I hope the family will renovate this car beautifully. burnt paint and a cracked windshield, may this car be a beautiful memory of its owner.
Wow, that's awesome brilliant work brother. Excellent work. The old school Dodge Viper for a lot of more cleaning up the Future Home has been complete.
A very close friend of mine passed away a while ago and left his motorcycle to me. My intention is create a show winning bike dedicated to him. I think with such an iconic car I would be looking at a perfect restoration to show just how much it meant to me.
As much as I hope the owner takes this opportunity to keep rolling and get the Viper in a drivable state, I seriously doubt he will. You can tell by the property the car was stored that he has a lot of projects he “will get to one day” but never does. Great transforms on the car, but it’s one minor inconvenience away from just sitting and rotting for years again.
Personally, if I was in control of what you guys are doing and had a couple days with it, I would do exactly what he mentioned in the beginning (clear coat, wheels ect..) and then return it in showroom condition. Either way, him keeping it, will always be remembrance of his brother.
Excellent video! Regarding the question You asked at 5:20 ... I'd try to get this car back into best possible technical condition but I wouldn't repaint it. I'd try to keep the character it gained over the decades, incl. all that peeled off clear coat. Besides I'd try to do my very best to protect the car from corrosion, e.g. renewing body-cavity sealing. There are some cars that simply look good and / or appeal to my sense of taste so much that I do not care in which optical condition they are ... which means I simply see the design and feel attracted to the design itself. There's some car designs which are so unique that I simply love the design and the shape and therefore do not really care anymore about the optical condition at all. First and second generation Viper is one of them.
This was by far my favorite detail y’all have even gotten to do, Hands down! Y’all did a wonderful job. I was crying with them. Such a lovely moment. ❤️
It's nice to see some nice young men doing hard work. I detailed to put myself through college i 1981, with Blue Coral Paste.I'm dating myself. You charge way too LOW, You are part mechanics /part detailers. Good luck fromEd in Lakewood,Ohio.
So awesome you guys went above and beyond for this gentleman with his sentimental inherited Viper. I feel like the headlights left a little something to be desired, another sanding stage and a heavier compound followed by a polish could have really brought them back maybe. Fantastic job and what a great reaction by the family!!!
I know people just commenting on the good job of the detail and the story behind the car. Also that this car means so much for the family but if it meant that much why did they let it get to that point. It doesnt require much effort to put a tarp on it really and could of avoided alot just my 2 cents.
ikr that's exactly what I was thinking. Didn't seem like they cared about the car at all. I have somewhat of a black Viper too and I get pissed even when the leaves fall on it.
el amor en esta familia se nota que esta dividido, dos se sorprenden con humildad y alegría y las otras dos solo observan y miran como sin tanto interés y suspenso.
Dude that was a great video! The level of craftsmanship in your work is inspiring. If I was the owner I'd want to do my best in the eyes of my brother.. Although that's a tough question, I feel rebuilding it up would be the most respectful choice. Having said that it'd be kind of cool to have that clean vintage look of having been aged and left in that era. You know?
I know my brother would want me to bring it back to it's former glory and use it as a weekend cruiser. That car is a beast to drive. I hope they take good care of it and keep it in the family.
I come from Indonesia. I just discovered this channel for the first time and this channel is very inspiring. Unfortunately in Indonesia there is no Chanel like this. It really inspires young people
It's great to see you guys helping out. Personally, I'd want to bring it back to factory spec as it came off the showroom floor. With some upgrades of course. The reactions are priceless. Great jobs guys, nicely done. His bro would be proud that's for sure.
Shame you couldn’t have more time with this one. Dashboard plastics could definitely do with more work. Good on you for doing a good deed for that family 👏
If Matthew's brother was alive, the car wouldn't be in that condition, so detailing it to bring it back to the way it was in the photo I think would be more honoring his brother's memory.
I thought that car was a lost cause when I first started watching the video. Your transformation was amazing. That car is amazingly well preserved and could likely be restored to show condition for less than $10,000.

beautiful gift to that family, it breaks my heart when he was talking about his brother and at the end of the video too, thank you for this video man
Excellent video, really enjoyed, you can see this family has been through a lot and this car is beyond sentimental ! Please keep us posted and do a follow up, want to see more ... You guys are the best detailers I've ever seen , but you are also "Story Tellers" ... Keep going ! J...
Didn't look like it meant a lot to them with it sitting outside getting trashed!! Generally when something means a lot YOU DON"T TREAT IT LIKE SH(#T!

That’s also a factor god what’s wrong with you
Agree. Hope the owner understand
😭 I'm so proud of you guys!!!! That was just a wonderful gift you gave to this family .. big hugs from Texas❤️
Great job on the viper, definitely wouldn't be putting my young inexperienced kid behind the wheel of that car though.
I was thinking the same thing. The Viper is one of the least forgiving cars I can think of. Just raw power, no traction control here.
They don’t seem like the sharpest tools in the shed though do they?
Very good job! The Viper looks good but the best part of this video is the brother and families reaction. My eyes even watered! Keep up the good work!
Condolences to the family this was beautiful….y’all did a amazing job 💯💯💯🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
A very close friend of mine passed away a while ago and left his motorcycle to me. My intention is create a show winning bike dedicated to him. I think with such an iconic car I would be looking at a perfect restoration to show just how much it meant to me.
Sending love for this video I'm crying RightNow ❤️ I can feel the emotion on both side God bless you brother
Back into the field.
Better than being wrecked most of these cars were destroyed by idiots.
Personally, if I was in control of what you guys are doing and had a couple days with it, I would do exactly what he mentioned in the beginning (clear coat, wheels ect..) and then return it in showroom condition. Either way, him keeping it, will always be remembrance of his brother.
Great transformation of the car. Not such a good idea to give this beast of a car to a teenage driver.
I think he is going to when she is older. At least I hope
Your right
A ap1 s2000 isn't met for young driver's
Anyone with a car of this status sitting in their yard and won't cover or store it to keep out the elements doesn't deserve this car!
Amazing work I've known Matt since high school and have seen that car in it's previous condition and you guys did a great job

This was by far my favorite detail y’all have even gotten to do, Hands down! Y’all did a wonderful job. I was crying with them. Such a lovely moment. ❤️
Wow that was a amazing transformation! Unbelievable I thought that Viper was trashed and you brought it back to life 👍🏻
These cars mechanically are bulletproof and relatively easy to work on for the level of car it is. Definitely on my bucket list.
I thought so too
I know people just commenting on the good job of the detail and the story behind the car.
Great job!
Also good job on the headlights, considering they are in the 4-5,000$ range for a used pair !! I’ve looked for a back up pair for mine .
el amor en esta familia se nota que esta dividido, dos se sorprenden con humildad y alegría y las otras dos solo observan y miran como sin tanto interés y suspenso.
Looks good. It makes me happy to see somebody that can polish a car without swirl marks. My question is why didn’t you do the jams?
Full restoration. I’m sure if it were up to his brother, he’d want it looking it’s best
Absolutely paint it black, refurbish the wheels, and fix the stain plastic dashboard and then you have a real gem
Definitely don’t think I would be giving that car to my daughter it will be wrecked but amazing job on the detail
I was thinking the same thing. I hope she doesn't get killed in it.
I come from Indonesia. I just discovered this channel for the first time and this channel is very inspiring. Unfortunately in Indonesia there is no Chanel like this. It really inspires young people
Even my tears flowed😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏🙏 love from Assam india 🌿
It's great to see you guys helping out. Personally, I'd want to bring it back to factory spec as it came off the showroom floor. With some upgrades of course. The reactions are priceless. Great jobs guys, nicely done. His bro would be proud that's for sure.
Shame you couldn’t have more time with this one. Dashboard plastics could definitely do with more work. Good on you for doing a good deed for that family 👏
Needs way more work I still see dirt grime
If Matthew's brother was alive, the car wouldn't be in that condition, so detailing it to bring it back to the way it was in the photo I think would be more honoring his brother's memory.
you can't detail what's no longer there. The car needs a full repaint umong a lot of other things
For a beautiful viper just to be there is a blessing🥰
Have you guys thought to look into a steamer? It would be so helpful for spots you can't get to with a cloth.
I thought that car was a lost cause when I first started watching the video. Your transformation was amazing. That car is amazingly well preserved and could likely be restored to show condition for less than $10,000.
That was so good, the cleaning and detailing .👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 God bless Matt and family. Car's looking good already! ✨✨✨🤩✨✨✨🤩✨✨✨
I’m very impressed about your skills to bring back to its former glory the cars. Well done guys!
Skills to wash a car.
I've been waiting for the restoration to begin. But he didn't wait. I watched her wash for half an hour. It's good that you can rewind.
World needs more of you brother...

Yes I' m also a living testimony of expert Mrs Kimberly
Parabéns pelo detalhamento e limpeza no carro e também por trazer felicidades ao irmão do dono do carro
A simple tarp would have prevented most of the damage. This is an expensive car and it should have been taking care of.
This guy is clueless who owns it....
Exactly!!
The dude who owns it is a pack rat. That car will never be finished or taken care of.
@@craesh1001 exactly its probably sitting outside in the same spot they found it
Tarps trap moisture. The car would have been rusted and covered in mold.
I LOVE that shoe commercial! Your ads are unique and fun to watch.
Nossa senhora eu do outro lado do mundo (Brasil), e chorando aqui. Caramba. Que sensacional. Parabéns pelo trabalho e pela homenagem que fizeram.

Your good people for helping a family out
Hi, WD guys. I enjoy cleaning things myself. You guys always do a BEAUTIFUL job on the cars you find. THANKS for your videos!
There's so many broken parts and parts in really poor condition in this car, I'd definitely go for a full restoration. Keep it stock, maybe put some nice wheels on and enjoy this great car.
The reinstatement of the car also reminded me of the memories of the man with his father. Tears from her longing for her father. May God not separate anyone from his family. Good luck to you 👏👏👏
much love and respect to you and your team for the amazing work that you did on that Viper!!!
and coming from a car guy, it really makes me happy to see how much attention to detail you put into the vehicle to make it look like it just rolled off the assembly line
God bless you guys for the great job you did. You will go far guys. God loves you both
Wonderful heartfelt deed for a grieving family that you did…I’m sure their brother the Viper’s original owner is going to be looking out for now after what you did for all of his family ❤️
It's so nice when people appreciate your work as much as this family does. I hope she gets better soon and I also hope the car will always remind her of him and it will soon not hurt so much anymore.
What did you guys use for the headlights??? At first it looked like no light could ever get through them! When finished they were super clear.
I have to admit I ball my eyes off. The brother must have been a great guy. You guys keep up the great work!!!!
Og Rt/10s at the top of my dreamcar list. Have a c5 vette for now. That poor car. Glad the owner made it through all those health issues. Damn 11x. Hugs man
Love classic cars started when I was a little girl, Mom and Dad had a mustang loved that car. Really like the muscle cars, and used to really love racing too, my Daddy was a real motorhead, a machinist for Pratt and Whitney, had grown up around dirt tracks and yeah Daddy raced too. I miss him he passed 16 years ago.
