ABOUT THIS FILM :
A battle of gigantic proportions is looming in the neon underground of New York City. The armies of the night number 100,000, they outnumber the police 5 to 1, and tonight they're after the Warriors - a street gang blamed unfairly for a rival gang leader's death. This contemporary action-adventure story takes place at night, underground, in the sub-culture of gang warfare that rages from Coney Island to Manhattan to the Bronx. Members of the Warriors fight for their lives, seek to survive in the urban jungle and learn the meaning of loyalty.

Cleon was badass. Killed off way too early. He would have kicked that Riffs ass that started kicking on him if he hadn't been distracted.

Cleon was a beast with his short screen time. At least they did get the bastards who shot Cyrus, I’m sure cleon enjoyed watching their demise from the afterlife.

I remember playing The Warriors on ps2 and being so devastated when Cleon got killed. The game really makes you invest in these characters far more then the movie does.

I wish they had the starting missions in the movie like they did the game. Man that game was legendary. It was so much fun to create your own brawls after finishing the story.
If Cleon had run away with the Warriors, he could have continued to lead without dying. It's a pity that he died.😔

He elbows Luther in the face but Luther is never shown with a black eye, bruised cheek or a broken nose. If you get an elbow to the face, it's gonna leave a mark.

Cleon was removed from the movie too early because the actor who played the role of cleon had another movie so they decided to remove cleon by killing him
Well, both the movie and book are based off the Anabasis by Xenophon, and the march of the Ten Thousand Greek mercenaries. Both in the narrative/real life event, the commanders of the Ten Thousand were betrayed and murdered, and new leaders had to be elected (among them Xenophon, who later documented the epic event). So killing Cleon matches that narrative element of leaving our heroes (Ten Thousand/The Warriors) leaderless as the second in command must take charge (Xenophon/Swan) while avoiding enemy armies (Persians/enemy gangs) as they try to get back home (Greece/Coney Island).
Luther was all talk,just a bully with a gun,which was obvious when he refused to fight Swan on the beach later, then screamed like a little girl when the knife stuck in his his arm.
Kind of why I wish Ajax had a scene with Luther.
Cleon should have went with his warriors he should have no been killed off early in plus Luther lied on him why would they believe Luther 😡
Guy that played Cleon was set for another movie but they didn't wanna keep him because of that so they killed his character

@@MaturishGambino yes I like cleon character development in the game as the original leader because he kept the warriors together all the time and he didn’t take no shit from nobody he got more respect from his fellow warriors he was around much longer earlier missions before the events of the movie.
In the end, even though Cleon was killed at the beginning of this movie, Swan and the rest of the Warriors made sure Luther and the Rogues got theirs in the end.
The Rogues almost caused all of The Warriors to lose their lives.
Those elbows were more lethal than a Dusty Rhodes elbow!!!!

Having multiple elbows to the head (probably in the top of the head by the position) doesn't look as a nice way to go.

When ‘Luther’ screams “Nooo !” when The Riffs find him (and his gang) , I always refer to that scream as true payback for ‘Cleon’ .

Cleon seemed like he didn't know the Riff was gonna attack him, he just appeared before him, spun around and the kick came like a flash even the camera had trouble picking it up.
They should’ve punished them mf riffs who killed him. Surely they would’ve known what Cyrus wanted, judge and accuse
