Also, do you know how much it would have cost to take a taxi from the Bronx to Coney? It's an hour & 15 minute drive without much traffic & no tolls- 29 miles! That would have been 1 expensive ride! They were supposed to be poor kids from Coney and at best the most bread they had on them that Vermin was holding was enough to get to Van Cortland park in the Bronx for the conclave & back. Add in that you have 8-9 guys, obviously gang members trying to cram into 1 NYC yellow cab ? Good luck getting a cabbie then to take that fare that late at night !

The book sounds more realistic and depressing, I had no idea it was even a novel first. Just thought it was an original IP in film only and then later made a game by Rockstar. I first found out about the Warriors IP with the game way back when i was like 9 lol. Played it with my brother and friends so much that we wore out the disc. Cheers for the comment though, I'm definitely picking it up at the book store or odering it in! ✌🏿

I have the book. His name is not cleon it is Arnold and he is just beaten and makes it back at the end. Luther is never even mentioned in the book. Mercy is a Puerto Rican girl who is never named but gang raped by the gang right after they take turns stabbing a random person in the street to death to impress her and stomping their feet in sync with the fucking (yes it's messed up) and his name is Hinton and he does not cry; he goes to a home full of incest and abuse, tries to tell his junkie brother about gang life before falling asleep and not thing changing

@@calcium5063 I used the names from the movie as a reference for the benefit of those who have not read the book. You summed it up nicely 👍 And yeh, the gang rape scene is definitely weird and creepy and ritualistic.

I wish they had the starting missions in the movie like they did the game. Man that game was legendary. It was so much fun to create your own brawls after finishing the story.

The elaborates more on Luther, e.g., he's a Police informer, and the reason why the Police knew where and when to turn up. That person he keeps calling is his controller back at the Police station.
