What's a WiP? A WiP is short for Works In Progress.
WiP it Wednesday is where I show the craft projects I've worked on this past week. I go into detail and discuss patterns, needles, and yarn. I discuss what I like and don't like about each of my projects.
I currently go live twice a month on the first and third Saturday of the month at 11:00 am mountain time. I live in Arizona where there is no daylight savings time.

Yes. I don't use them as often as I used to though. I guess I haven't needed any bias tape. LOL

I absolutely love the zipper pouches you made with the cut offs turned into 1/4 sq triangles. Also the flying geese quilt, I love the movement in it

I haven’t created many flamingo scraps. I’m collecting flamingo fabrics for a future project but I haven’t sewn with them very much. Not enough to create scraps.

Yum. I made a small bit of peanut butter frosting today. A little sweet treat. Also nice to dip pretzel sticks into.

Thank you. Yes! Each basket color will match the scraps inside. I won’t have to guess when I pull a bin off of the shelves. I had the same thought except that I’d make the baskets QAYG with larger scraps. The final basket looks nicer. Better product for the shop. For me? My baskets will look like my scraps exploded everywhere 🤣💣🧨

I love cupcakes but they don't love me unless they are gluten free. 🤷 My favorites are German chocolate or nearly anything with salted caramel. However, since I dislike the taste of coffee, Red Velvet is one that I don't eat.
Once again, you are keeping me company during unpacking, sorting, and organizing. The six month new home inspection is in 2 weeks and I need to significantly reduce the number of boxes and totes so the outlets and flooring can be inspected. I am so looking forward to getting back to crafting. I especially need to use up my scraps making fabric baskets for my scraps and other craft supplies.
Thank you! I loathe inspections. They’re always a ton of work for a short amount of time for the inspection. Necessary - yes. More work - definitely.

Just got back from Vicksburg, MS for my husband's brother's funeral - Chuck's been unable to drive for a long time now, so I do all of the driving. Oh my goodness, from Holiday, FL to Vicksburg & back just about did me in ... lol My stamina is just not what it used to be thanks to Lyme Disease and Hashimoto's - but I was thankful Chuck felt up to the trip. We were so ready to get back home that I didn't even ask to go to any quilt shops - shocking!
I hope that you are feeling fully recuperated from your drive to Surprise and all of the resettling.

I’m so sorry for your family’s loss. I’m glad your body allowed you to drive your husband to the funeral. Yes, I am recuperated from the drive for the most part. I’m getting closer to having my space set up and finding the missing partial projects 🦈🏝️🏝️
Condolences on your family's loss. I am also glad that your body was up for the drive there and back. I also have Hashimoto's but fortunately never got Lyme Disease. Hope your energy and stamina recover to your normal levels.

I make the microwave 1 minute mug cakes and then put little frosting on them. They are so easy and literally only take about two minutes total. There are tons of recipes on Pinterest. Also cookies in a mug in the microwave in one minute. I use the very easy recipe where are you blend one box of angel food cake mix and another box of whatever cake mix you want and leave that in a big jar. You take 3 tablespoons of that +2 Tablespoons of water stir together well and then put it in the microwave for one minute! Even I can manage that. And then I just dab a nice healthy spoonful of frosting on top and eat it and feel very satisfied. I tend to use spice cake mix for my second flavor but I am thinking of mixing a gingerbread muffin mix instead. I love gingerbread! So cupcakes are good but then there’s too many of them in the house. Enjoyed today’s video - you got a lot done. I am in the middle of doing a humongous Declutter and move furniture in the lower level. It’s surprising how many times these cats have thrown up and I haven’t noticed it yet….. dark corners etc but I have no carpeting. Congratulations! I know I’ve been watching since before the pandemic but have no other time reference. Good for you!! ❤😊🎉
I love coffee cake in a mug. I never need an entire cake etc. just a mug now and then. My daughter needs to move her bed. Her girls have left a few surprises. I did a quick clean under my bed last week but It still needs a good deep clean. My girls love to sleep under my bed.
Walmart has these chocolate muffins, I think they are triple chocolate. I so love them...they are so moist and yummy. But I don't get them very often. You have been so busy...I love the way you use up everything!
Thank you. Sam’s club used to have a variety pack of HUGE muffins. There was chocolate muffin with chocolate chips that were very good. It was our treat when we went shopping when the kids were little.

Also since you were new to the valley may I suggest the maricopa county library summer reading program. They have all kinds of prizes and it's free. Have a great week and we all love cupcakes red velvet here at my home.
I haven’t visited any libraries yet. Back home the summer reading programs were only for kids. Are they for adults here? That could be fun. It’s officially hot. It’s not horrible but yes once It hits 100 no matter where you live it’s hot. We are enjoying the no humidity though. The sun is brutal here but there’s been a nice breeze that has kept It comfortable. Of course I’m inside sewing with the ac and fans on so I’m good 🤞. The three mini quilts around the clock were all gifts sent by viewers. I thought It might be fun for them to see their gifts in the videos. The one you like has batik fabrics with embroidery pieces. I’ll put a close up picture in the community tab so you can see the details. Maybe the person that made It will pop in and share the details. Thanks! I just saw the back and it’s from 2021. It was sent for my birthday in February.
