    肘关节前顶 (前置)。不是用肘关节向前发力; 而是肘关节前移并保持稳定,然后用肘关节作轴心引领放松的小臂和手腕向前甩动,以获得鞭梢效应。

    Hey Coach
I like your Videos so much, they help me a lot for my own gameplay.
I would like to see a Video about Fan Zhendongs technique because Fan Zhendong is my absolute favourite player

This video is very confusing because he does not fix his elbow at all, as it is recomended. His elbow goes back and forth in every shot making a circular motion. In other videos, when attacking, he sometimes makes a reduced version of that motion and sometimes doesn't make that motion at all, really fixing his elbow. It is as if he had two different versions for the same shot. I haven't seen that circular motion in backhand masters such as Calderano or Ovtcharov. Any thoughts about that?

Absolutely wonderful tutorial. In the Yin Pai I would have never thought that the elbow is the pivot point... very informative. Does it mean that at that moment there is more weight on the right foot (for a right hander) ?

Yes. More weight is put on the right foot

Isn't that more of a flat drive or active block than a topspin hit?

great video once again! but we do see quite some forward movement in his elbow, so "fix the elbow " is not what he uses?! for contrast, looking at Lev Katsmann's BH, his elbow is much more fixed. Not that we can compare the two, just sayin'

I'd say this is more his forehand safety block. U don't talk about lever of the bat handle in palm or around rolling the elbow... more micro skills!

I’m disappointed. I hoped you would answer the longstanding question. But the source of Ma Long backhand power remains a mystery. It is not primarily spine rotation like tennis two hand backhand stroke, nor primarily spine counter-rotation like close to table penhold backhand punch stroke. It is not spine curvature to store power and uncurling to release power. Observation suggests he uses a combination of a small amount of punching spine rotation, a large amount of shoulder thrusting forward, which implies too much work without yin pai or natural leverage concentration from source in footwork and abdomen movements and tension sequencing to release in wrist and fingers. So much shoulder movement and power seems too difficult to generate by a primary effort at the shoulder, so what is the source? I opened this video hoping for the answer but I didn’t find it.

Ma long’s backhand is.... a bit weak you could say. Imperfect. It’s like he can’t generate enough spin on his own like FZD or ZJK for example. He uses the opponents spin + adds some spin on his own to block balls. He can’t loop against backspin with his backhand for example.
      It’s like a woman’s backhand basically
