    Kung Fu Master is one of the greatest arcade games of all-time. So much better than a poker machine! Well done on the restoration.

    I remember the blisters I would get from the way you have to manipulate the joystick on this game. It was in the arcade tent at our county fair that year. Back when life was awesome...

    Something about playing these arcade games, that the computer has never been able to match!

    • @LyonsArcade
      @LyonsArcade  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I have never figured it out totally myself. I think it may be the immersive experience, you have to stand typically, you only really see the screen and the artwork around it, the speakers are right there, etc. They almost have an electronic soul!

    • @davidx4591
      @davidx4591 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Joe's Classic Video Games Yes, perhaps it’s the fact that it’s designed solely for that function, playing that game, whereas a computer is multi functional. As the saying goes; ‘often imitated, never surpassed’.

    Awesome dude. Great job rebuilding it. I use to run to the Gold Mine in the Oglethorpe Mall in Savannah Ga. to play this as long as possible, before my parents made their rounds, around the mall. It wasn't a big issue to me about points either. It was more so , too get as far as you could get for each quarter spent. Lol. Great story behind it too, very slick concept. Very creative.

      @@LyonsArcade I remember spending a lot of money on this machine on a local arcade when I was a kid, lots of fun but also lots of frustration. Yes it is tough but not the toughest game of the era...

    Back when I was a kid in the 80's we used to go to a seasonal campground in NH near the coast and they had a small arcade above a store. This game was there along with a couple others. I think time pilot. But I would run up at opening and crush the game setting the High score then other kids would run in mad I beat them there cause they couldn't beat it and I always had the score set. I tried to find a working cabinet myself, but they been priced way too high or in too bad shape. One day I might get one still.

      @@LyonsArcade many nes ports of the arcade games were butchered. strider was garbage. willow also was not the arcade game. ditto bionic commando. they were all "nes-ized" games of the actual arcade experience. i LOVED (and still do) the arcades and this kung-fu arcade game compared to its nes port are nearly exact. that's how all the ports should have been made.

    Love this game, u need to keep moving forward, kill enemies when needed. U jump Over The snakes u cant kill them, u crouch down & punch the dragons, knives u duck & jump over, the flying things u punch or high kick, IF u get surrounded by enemies then shake them off using the direction button/ D pad...or stick on the arcade....
    Bosses, 1st wait til hit strikes twice then get close with a kick & punches, 2nd, is with high kicks, 3 rd u duck & punch, but dont let him hit back, the same with the magican, the real one is the 1st that u see approach, ignore the one behind u, just focus where the 1st goes....
    But main thing is to keep moving forward, only going backwards to deal with a knife thrower if ducking & jumping is getting a pain ,& also to ready a attack on bosses...
    Hope this helps :)
    I got this game on gameboy advanced sp 101

Calhoun drive,aka "The Strip",where all the teenagers with cars and driver's licenses would cruise (remember cruising? Do kids now even know what that is?)all night Friday and Saturday into the wee hours,stereos blasting.The good old days!
