I found it hard to learn, but I learned it the hard way with vinyl and no music knowledge at that time I was about 10years I think and figured al out by myself. And I think if you want really to dj you need to learn it the hard way with vinyl so you really put the efford in it to learn it.

I have DJed with vinyl, carts, CDs, cassettes, and computer software but have never touched a Pioneer or Denon setup. Way easier now than back in the vinyl days!

You just need a laptop + a cheap controller to do pretty much anything

Great video man! And great setup!!!
What do you think about Native Instruments Traktor Kontrol S4 MK3?
Consider I wanna learn DJing but not working in clubs but more at events like winery inaugurations, art events and so on. And also consider, I've no vinyls so it has to be liquid music.
Cheers mate!!! ;) Greetings from Italy!

I learned to DJ on vinyl around the time when Sasha first played on Ableton and CDJs started becoming ubiquitous.

I kinda imagined it before that it was easy, now I certainly know it’s not that hard.

Math is easy. I can learn anyone basic addition in 2 minutes, like 1+1=2, 2+2=4, and then you can call yourself a mathematician. The world is so full of mathematicians.

Having a music backgroung is a massive advantage, but I think the guy is understimating the whole thing a bit. Now try to do it during 2h for hundreds of people keeping them engadge and dancing 😉

Being a DJ is easy. Doing it for two hours in front of hundreds of people is also easy. My cat could do it.

@@domdraper3221 Hey now. It took me an entire hour to get where I am. I am not going to allow some wannabe to come in here and discount all my efforts.

I was going on vinyl before anyone was using cd’s or audio files.
    This almost seems like cheating.

So...how do I load a track to the board? How does the mix reflect natural rhythm? Why didn't you use a cassette tape? Where did your samples come from?! 🐵
