I had a lot of fun working on this video. It’s a new style for me and I genuinely learned so much about long-form video creation through this. I would love to do some more talking content like this and I know a lot of things I can do better and more efficiently next time. This has been an amazing 3 month journey and I hope you all enjoy the finished project! I’ve loved Yellowfang and her super edition since I first started reading the books back in 2013 and I used to defend Yellowfang’s secret with all my heart, though I’m much better at noticing the flaws in the writing now. With all that said, this video was made out of love for the Warriors series and the fandom. I still love Yellowfang and I want to encourage people to use their creativity to improve things. Our fandom was built on collaboration and inspiration and it’s my favorite part about the Warriors community.
I originally had 9 speed paints planned for this video, but after recording my audio I knew there was no way I could fit all 9 into a 30-minute video and I also knew that it would take me an extra 2 or 3 weeks to get those other 4 scenes done. If you want to see the ugly sketches for the 4 missing scenes or the multiple thumbnail sketches I did for all the scenes, those can also be found on my Ko-Fi for 1 dollar a month! I also chose to cut out all the coloring processes from the speed paints because they were fairly redundant and I don’t think they would’ve added much value to the speed paint. Some major chunks of the process may also be missing in a few places because my iPad kept dying before I could save my screen recordings… whoops. I mainly used the default brushes in Procreate-- primarily Studio Pen, Marker, and Round Brush.

Programs used: Procreate and Procreate Dreams for the art and Hitfilm Express for the editing
Firealpaca and Pencil 2D are free on PC! Procreate is $10 and Procreate Dreams is $20 on Apple devices. Hitfilm keeps changing whether they're free or not, so I don't know anymore.
