    What is this channel about?
    This channel offers various types of weekly videos that focus on personal development for men. The first type centers on personal fashion with a focus on luxury, street and menswear. The second and most central topic gives advice on how to improve your life socially, economically, physically and mentally.
    The reality is looking good is only 1 part of a larger equation to living a fulfilling and purposeful life. While our style is the easiest to change and brings us immediate joy and excitement, to create a truly meaningful life, we must work on our personal development. Fashion can only slightly enhance our life experience, but self improvement is the main ingredient that gives our life as men meaning.
    While the fashion videos offer a healthy pace for us to unwind and casually talk about our love for fashion, the life coaching videos will bring encouragement to put in the hard work to leave a legacy worth celebrating.
    Welcome to the family.

    "If for Nothing Else, We Exist to Conquer"
    MY STORY:
    From up to the age of 10 I was a really shy kid who tried to live up to the “good boy stereotype.” Being an easy target, I was constantly bullied by my cousin, brother and our childhood friends and typically felt left out by my family.
    From the age of 11 to 16, I finally began to break out of my shell and became a cocky rebellious teenager beginning to go after what I wanted being successful in casually dating with a healthy social circle and went on many crazy adventures that I still reminisce on till this day.
    This social progression all stopped my sophomore year when I entered my first really long term relationship that although I still cherish till this day, became an excuse to hide the fact that I had very little to no friends or social circle left and was afraid to approach new people. My kryptonite has always been approaching strangers or people realizing I was friendless so I stayed in this relationship and mediocre friendships up until 2 years before graduating college. All the while I became destructive, resentful and an overall toxic person to be around with unhealthy addictions and an extremely pessimistic view of the world. Unfortunately, I made so many mistakes in this relationship that I still regret today.
    But as the saying goes, history repeats itself and I left that relationship for a new one where I again became unfilled, until I had a breaking point. I finally realized that the people I should be cherishing were being neglected because of the subconscious childhood paradigms I had been carrying with me. I had fallen so deep into a toxic cycle of addiction and self loathing that I was ready for a change regardless of the risk.
    MY SUCESS STORY
    All the while from age 19-24 I had been tirelessly researching and reading audio books on self improvement acquiring theories for all areas in social, mental, financial and physical health. Seeing the momentum being built in the physical and financial areas of my life, at age 25 I finally made the choice to venture out into the world putting the theories I learned to practice in order to conquer what I feared the most.
    AND THEY WORKED! Not only that, my years of studying combined with my natural charisma (that again would only surface after the initial approach that I was absolutely terrified of) shot my mental and social progress up to speed matching the years of theory that I had acquired.
    How are YOU part of the bigger picture?
    Guys, if any part of you can relate to my story, just know I am in the trenches with you. I know how dark life can get when you live like the way I described. The sleepless nights, tears, anger and shame that comes with feeling you are unlovable I've been right next to you the whole time. I want to help men like you who experienced the extreme sadness, isolation and self doubt that I experienced for 9 years to finally break free from the chains of loneliness, mediocrity, addiction and resentment. I want you to conquer every aspect of your life and leave a legacy worth celebrating.
    In short, I want us all to conquer together.

    If you’re having problems wearing them for long periods of time, it’s because of the leather sole. Captains have a rubber sole and that adds to the comfort. I have the Rogue in dark olive and they fit correctly. I’m a 9.5 in all of Thursday Boots, the rogues were no different.

      @nathanielhawthorne704  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah man fortunately they’ve broken in now so well that they feel like a sneaker when compared to my from the first boots. I also managed to solve the sizing issue by adding new holes on the strap. But great point on the difference in a completely rubber sole vs a leather sole I completely missed that observation!

      @@joeyn.9135 10 in most sneakers, 9.5 in Chucks. If you’re having sizing issues, try getting to a Red Wing store. They have they these footpads the take a 3D image of your foot and they’ll give you a very accurate reading of your size, width and other measurements.

    Rogues look better worn in with patina. I don’t like my boots looking brand new. The only exception is for formal occasions like a wedding or for professional business settings. Otherwise, boots look much better with the character built after being well worn with love…

    its less comfy for longer times then your captains cause the soles are thicker on the captains, more cork bedding inside too, but those rouges and the cadets i have the midsole is only a very think leather midsole, for a dressier appearance

    Finally a channel I’ve come across where I see someone talk about how Thursday boot sizing is wack. Not saying the boots are wack but they need to figure their stuff out when it comes to sizing, I’m sure it’s only a headache for their customer service department from countless returns and exchanges for different sizing

  • @stylewithaltitude
    @stylewithaltitude 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Fit: I went 2 full sizes down to stop the heel slipping. I must have narrow feat, the website recommendation was off for me.

    • @darylsmithofficial
      @darylsmithofficial 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I was the same way, I’m a 9 and went to a 7.5 before the heel stopped slipping and it was a snug fit, but then the toe box wasn’t as comfy as I wanted so I ended up just returning all pairs I tried. The ones I originally ordered were the duke Chelsea boot in dark brown but I imagine it’s similar sizing, I have regular size feet though

    I really want these but I'm so confused with the sizing. Can you help please? I wear 9.5 U.S in sneakers on average, but 9 in some shoes like Converse and Air Force 1's. And I like my shoes to fit snugly not loose at all. What size do you recommend? Some TH-camrs say half a size down is perfect, some say full size down, some say more. I don't wanna deal with shipping them back. Thank you.

    • @nathanielhawthorne704
      @nathanielhawthorne704  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I understand your problem with sizing. What I would do is measure the soles and shaft of a pair of boots you already own with a perfect fit and send those measurements to Thursday boots in an e-mail and ask what size they would recommend.
      This is what from the first boots does here is a link to their sizing instructions on how to measure the boot
      fromthefirst.com/pages/full-size-guide
      Obviously it’s a different company, but their instructions on how to measure is there
      Hope this helps 🤙

    For your viewers. We did the Thursday boot size guide and confirmed sizing on chat. The sizing was off (too small). Customer Service after the purchase was horrible. We were unable to return. Buyer beware - direct to consumer and they filter for positive reviews. Thursday Boot Company is sketchy, direct to consumer for a reason.
