    The white bottle is an old Old Spice Cologne bottle possibly from the 60s.

    That's a 1939 Ford pickup. A 1938 is similar. That grille is worth about $300 by itself. The chrome strip down the middle is expensive too!

    My parents bought an 80 acre farm in 1957. Dad raised cattle and sheep on this rough ground with a lot of hills and creeks. Growing up here was always fun to go exploring for arrowheads and digging up old bottles on one of the hillsides that dad said was an old town dump from around 1900- 1940,my sister and I found numerous old different colored bottles with dates on them some were from the 1850’s. One place we liked to go was where someone had long ago parked five old 1920’s era cars that were partially buried and shot full of bullet holes,we called it the Bonnie and Clyde memorial. Great memories for my generation and my children’s generation and their children, arthritis has got the best of me now so I just tell the youngins to venture out and see what’s out there.

    Hi Silas, That clear bottle is a Brooks Ketchup bottle. I remember my parents buying that brand, had a good taste. Interesting things on your property besides whole vehicles.

    • @gregoryanderson6550
      @gregoryanderson6550 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It’s Brooks Catsup! That’s the way it was spelled on the label, I grew up in Missouri and mom bought Brooks because it was cheaper than Heinz’s and tasted great! I think it was made in Illinois somewhere near Bellville.

  • @Awsom47Merc
    @Awsom47Merc ปีที่แล้ว +9

    * Hey Silas . The orange bowl thing could be a top for a utility engine's air cleaner. The bottle you found was a Brooks ketchup bottle. Brooks made ketchup (Tangy Ketchup) in Collinsville Illinois. They were known for the world's largest ketchup bottle which towered over they're plant. Bird's Eye own the brand now and only sell a limited amount of product. The wife and I love your stuff Silas. You never fail to entertain.

Thanks for showing the armadillo and maybe next time take a canvas bottle collector bag. As if you don't have enough to do but some shelves and your bus and decorated with the things you find out there like the old bottles.

    You know some of those trucks you cut the front grill and fender and hood off of in order to make art. I was only being humorous when I thought of it at first but one of them would be very handy as awning above your entry door on your bus. The part that you left behind of the hood and hanging onto the bus has an awning. I guess you can make as many awnings as you want it down the side of your bus wherever you got windows. But be functional keep your little dryer when you get in and out of the bus. It have little touch of art to it as well. As far as the stuff in the woods don't worry about getting it out. Put your price on it and set parameters and let the buyer get it out of there. Build also clear your another path where you can put a small outbuilding. Then you can camp out in it if you like as well as when your mushroom hunting a place to step inside if it gets a little inclimate weather. Just a couple of stray thoughts that would incorporate your automotive interest with your adventure interest.
