    You explained how to use the parking brake lock feature - the button push on the clutch lever is not needed for the reverse sequence. Simply squeeze the clutch like normal and pull the black reverse knob and shift into reverse. Easy to use, no issues. Honda hasn’t changed this model for years because this thing is built like a tank (simple design) and will last for years with little maintenance. Great starter ATV for a teen or for your wife.

      Do you have any clue on how to start it, i finally decided to take mine out after years of sitting and i complety forgot how to do anything no videos are telling me am i dumb or is it just me

      @@DrinkTyelnol The TRX250X needs a fresh battery as it will not pop start - it only starts with the electric starter in neutral. To start turn the key on and shift the transmission all the way down to reach neutral (the green neutral light under the key area should illuminate. Pull the choke and push the start button on the left handle bar. The TRX250X is cold blooded and needs the choke. I’ve found using non ethanol higher octane fuel the best if your TRX250X sits for long periods. If your TRX250X struggles to start it will likely need the carb bowl emptied of any bad gas. My son rides his TRX several times a week and it starts right up with no problem. Let me know if you need additional help. Happy to assist…..

    This 250 just like the Honda website says is hands down more fun than most big machines out there because of how small it is and how well it handles. This is the direct evolution of the 1980 ATC 185 that eventually become the TRX250X still for sale and being produced 42 years later!!!

      its just a shame the regulators want to make sport atvs and atvs like cars... I mean we don't need a parking brake on a sport quad. and the all wheel brake on pedal is mandatory in many countries to drive on road but it is actually more dangerous than have front and rear brake like a normal motorbike. I think that and enviorenment requirements did that these are not produced anymore. Honda could keep produicing the 250 nowadays, as you say is very fun to ride, to all ages, and is also cheap to maintain

    I have a 2008 model it’s a trx250ex has the semi clutch. They both look the same. Mine is carbureted surprised they are still carbureted. Mine is white and black it is mint condition. When I got it it had stock tires on it and still had the paint and like the little sticks still on the tire it had been garage keep and only ridin once. Of course I changed that now, Great review keep up the great work 👍

    Can you use the clutch as a normal clutch, if desired? like for taking off and shifting and stopping? Or will this damage the “sport clutch” mechanism?

  • @trx250xseridingwilliams4
    @trx250xseridingwilliams4 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    The information you're giving on how to reverse is wrong. I own a 2017 TRX250X SE the only thing you have to do two rivers is hold down the clutch lever shift into neutral then pull the reverse lever on the right-hand side of the gas tank then the red reverse light will be lit. The button on the left hand side of the handlebars that you're referring to is only for parking brake. To use the parking brake push that button down with the clutch and it will lock . If it's a new TRX you might apply the foot brake during the procedure.

  • @LoganChaudoir1
    @LoganChaudoir1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    so for the semi clutch you have to use it and how do you know when to shift up or down? and also you dont have to realease the clutch to shift slowly?

    Just a friendly tip. Know what you are supposed to be selling, never go in to detail about something "you" find to be a negative such as the carb. etc. Also if you put something in your video title, make sure you explain it well, meaning know what you are talking about. Sorry but that was a terrible explanation of the clutch - sorry bro.
