The scrubbie yarn was originally used WITH either peaches n cream or sugar n cream …working both the cotton and scrubbie together to make kitchen wash cloths . I never ever used the scrubbie by itself …it’s a nightmare in the frogging world lol
So, the worst yarn would be a scrubby sparkle in hot pink! 🤪 I am in complete agreement with you on the yarns. None of them are my favorites either. Send the hot pink to Crystal at B.O. D. she can crochet a hat for her daughter. She also likes the "fuzzy yarns also. It seems like she needs a surprise package from you. 😀
Juan, you are so expressive, you could never tell a lie! Your facial expressions are priceless. I am watching you at 5am, before work, and this video has set my great mood for the rest of my day! Thanks for showing art the weirdness out there. I can't even touch scrubbies.Eeewww! The pink would be fine with me.Thanks for the fun!
Hi Juan, I think that silver sparkly scrubby yarn would be beautiful as a garland for the tree or twisted with a green garland to decorate a mantel or staircase!loving your channel!
Thank you for this suggestion. I’m currently in the process of crocheting a Christmas Tree, but I accidentally ordered the wrong yarn. If I use the silver sparkle yarn, and just make a simple chain stitch that could be my garland. Thank you so much. I would have never thought of that option.
Hi Juan - I dislike all the yarns you dislike as well and for the same reasons, and would never buy it. Why would I even try and convince myself to maybe change my mind? LOL! - Love your channel!!!
I love hairy yarns. 😃 They are usually so soft and snuggly. Perfect for baby blankets, sweaters, or afghan borders. I have a bunch of Red Heart Hygge, that I've used for afghan and baby blanket borders. It's so heavenly soft and just glides on and off the hook. If the Red Heart brushed turns you off, then the Hygge would drive you mad. LOL! Also love the Caron Halo cakes. Mo' hairy, mo' betta'. 🤩
Pepto-bitsmo pink is what I call hot pink. I detest scrubby yarn & homespun because I can't see the stitches. I won't buy them. I do have black yarn. If you get something mostly black from me it is because I really love you. 😂
Oh Juan, I've been going back and watching your earlier videos as time allows and this one had me cracking up. I love the pink and the fuzzy yarns, lol!
I'm not a fan of pink either. My least favorite pink is the bubble gum or baby pink. I don't mind hot pink in with other colors. The only color yarn I never buy is brown. I really don't like brown. I think everyone is allowed to love or hate any color they want. 😁🧶 Tip: Never do a center pull with fuzzy yarns!
Hi Juan, I always wonder how tough the Barbie craze has been for you, lol! I hope you have an amazing day, and thank you, I always get excited when I see that you have added new content!
Hahaha your visceral reactions to these yarns are giving me some life today. That being said, the brushed yarn makes such comfy wearables, I feel like a little teddy bear when I get em
Yeah, I think with the fuzzy yarn, it's about how it feels, not how it looks. You're not looking at the stitch definition, it's a Despicable Me "It's so FLUFFY!" moment. Makes sense that it's not your jam - you're understandably proud of your work and want it to be able to be seen. :)
I just ordered the brushed yarn in red. I want to make myself a cardigan (one of Crystal's). I've made 2 of hers for gifts last year. It's time for one for me 😊. I've never used the brushed yarn before. Thank you Juan for your videos. Between you and Crystal, you're both my yarn enablers lol and I love both of your channels. 🎉 ❤
To be quite honest, use either one of the scrubby yarns held together with cotton yarn. They do make amazing dish cloth!! Love this video! Thank you as always Juan!!
Hey Juan, I have to agree with all the yarns except the hot pink. While not my most favorite color, I would use it over a few other colors. Thanks for showing us the yarn and giving your thoughts. Have a great day!🩵
Hi Juan!!! The Scrubby Yarn goes with a #2 cotton yarn together. I made Scrubby for your back and wash cloth and a face Scrubby a set and I sell them people love it. I will send you a picture through your email. Yes the other yarns I don't like. No wonder Crystal BOD was saying I'm send Juan all these pink yarn 😂😂😂 then she no I'm not its because you don't like pink.
Okay. Now that I've seen your rust colored piece I agree with you about being able to see the texture of the stitches. That piece has beautiful looking stitch pattern. love it!
The most beautiful item I have ever made was a back scrubber. I made It with white cotton yarn and mixed in the sparkley scrubby yarn you have. It was beautiful. My friend said she would never use it because it was to pretty. That yarn acts to exfoliate skin. But I would never use it alone. Loved the beautiful pink.
I totally agree with you. Don't care for any of them, and thank you for showing us how they worked up, i would never have known otherwise because i would never buy any of those on purpose! Combining the fuzzy with the sparkle was interesting, but i still wouldn't buy either of those. i do feel yarns when i walk thru the store, and those make me wipe my hands off afterwards and make a face! Good video, thanks.
I’d never use any of those except by specific request for a dear friend. I could imagine making an afghan for a “non-favorite” person using the red/green scrubby - but probably leave it imaginary 😊
I agree with fuzzy yarn not showing the stitches, but the end result with simple stitches is fantastic. I used both of the scrubby yarns and created a two sided soap holder. I use the shinny one for my face and neck and the other for the rest of my body. It is a great way to exfoliate without worrying about mildew or mold since it can be washed and dried.
Juan, I just love you…I felt your awkwardness in working with that yarn. I have been given some to make wash scrubbies for my dishes. My mother knitted with the scrubbie yarn to make washing cloths with. If something is stuck on your dish or glass that stuff really helps clean it. I’m afraid to try it!😬 I always learn something from your videos and appreciate your content. Thank you Juan!
I think with a smaller hook the Scrubbie Sparkle could make some pretty snowflake ornaments. I love the look of the Red Heart Brushed. I think it would make a dreamy pull over sweater. I think I will add that to my list. Thanks for another great and fun video.
I have found that when working with the eyelash yarn it is best to work with a 4 weight yarn. Not a fan of the brush yarn either but found it makes a nice sweater. Love the color purple! With the hot pink I would create a Cheshire cat hat. Ears and all. Understand on some shades of pink...like the one that looks likes Pepto Bismol. Have a beautiful day!😊
The scrubby yarn isn't the greatest feel but the dish cloths are the best to work with for dishes & they last longer than store bought.I have made many & given them for gifts to family and friends who keep asking for more,I can't keep up . I love it
My friend uses a cotton yarn with the scrubby sparkle yarn to make exfoliating pads, pot scrubbers and she also makes roses out of them. Me personally I didn't like it myself so I give all my scrubby yarn to my friend. Thanks for sharing 💛💚🧡💜🧶🧶🧶
Over 10K now. Congrats! I've never used any of the ones you showed. I wouldn't mind the hot/neon pink. I've felt the scrubby yarn and don't care for the feel of it. Wont say I'll never use it. I love the feel of Caron Latte cakes and want to make a cardigan out of it but that Red Heart Brushed looks used even though it's not so not sure I'd buy it to try it. Thanks for showing us and letting us know how you f÷l about them.
I get it! I only used the scrubby yarn with a stand of cotton. It does make a decent dish cloth but not my favorite. I enjoyed seeing you check things out and expressing your opinion. Thanks
I’m all about textures. Texture makes me excited and inspires me. I use yarns like these in “weird” ways to create texture in some of my projects. As for that hot pink fluorescent color, that sort of color gives me a headache. Like literally. Same with some other colors like harsh cobalt or laser beam yellows. Just not for me. Everyone has their own tastes and preferences. That’s great! Not a one size fits all world. 🎉 I do love that brushed yarn. I was actually working on a stack of granny triangles in various shades of it for a wrap I am making. It’s so soft! A joy for my hands to work with. ❤
Congratulations on the 10k. I also do not like the color pink at all. However, it is a color many people love and I try not to be negative about it. The scrubbie yarns are for specific things. I do not enjoy the feel of them, but I love the products I make with them (dish scrubbies, shower loofas, soap savers)... but I also pair them with cotton yarn or I may do a surface stitch with them onto the cotton yarn. I would not use either of the scrubbie yarns for any other purpose or by themselves. I do enjoy a "hairy" yarn because they make very soft items (usually). While crochet stitches can be very beautiful, not every yarn or project is meant to show off the stitches. Wearables in simple stitches with a fuzzy yarn are amazing. It is more to showcase the color or the softness or the overall design/shape of the project, not for stitch definition. There is alway the right place, time, and project for every color and texture of yarn. Hopefully the next video will be more happy and positive, I'd much rather hear what you do like (even super saver which is my least favorite) than watch a video about everything you don't like.
I'm with you NO PINK!!! I have turned down projects because they were neon Pink and they would not budge on the color. I once did a complete shawl in the Crocodile stitch in Raspberry and thst nearly put me over the edge. I don't mind the brushed yarn. Scrubby only paired with cotton yarn for dishcloths.
The scrubby yarn used without the cotton is meant to make a square shape, rows of SC, HDC, DC. When done like that it is very forgiving and makes great washers/dishrags. I don’t frog cuz like I said it’s forgiving. My mom requests new dish cloths for Christmas every year. My dad requested a large one to use when washing the car. So each their own.
Hey Juan! I bought the RH Brushed for a project. It is very soft. Crazy hard to frog. But I felt like my scarf looked matted or old. Like the scarf had been around for way too long! I wasn’t a fan. That scrubbie yarn. I swear I touch it every time I see it and it just gives me the chills. I couldn’t crochet with it. Thanks for the reviews ❤️❤️
My least favorites are: fur yarn, eyelash yarn, scrubby yarn and ultra fuzzy yarn. The fuzziest yarn I love is Caron Colorama Halo. LOVE that yarn, but I can still see the stitches. I don't like yarn when I cannot see the stitches. ;) I love the feel of Caron Cloud Cakes, but I have have to hold it two together with a regular yarn just to be able to see the stitches, so I won't be buying that again ;).
The Hot pink with Charcoal Grey and navy looks really beautiful! I completely agree with you about the other Fuzzy hairy yarns... they make my nose itch and give me the creepy crawlies. Lol
🎉👍👏 10,000 Subscribers!!! 👏👍🎉 As for the yarns, you really took one for the team! I've often wondered how all of these kinds of yarn work up and now I know. The one I dislike least is the pink. And I don't like my pinks hot. Give me an ashes of roses, a dusky shade or a faded antique pink. Best of all, this video made me chuckle 😂
I gravitate to certain colors more than others but, never met a color I didn’t like. Textures, however, is a different story. If it’s a “splitter”, I can’t go as rapid as I crochet without bunching. Working with cotton thread is hard on my hands but is beautiful worked in lace. I have been crocheting for 51 years and the new colorways always amaze me. Love your channel Juan.
👋 👋 Juan! Well, because you asked...I work with all colors but we all have our favorites. I combine the scrubby yarns with cotton and make double-sided scrubbies. Goes great in gift baskets with other kitchen essentials. It is very difficult on the ✋️ 🤚, though.🎉 on over 10,000 subs! You are very charismatic to watch... 😁 😂 😀
You like what you like and that’s fine. I remember a teacher who once had us make lists: things we liked, things we didn’t. She didn’t tell us at the beginning, but her hope was that the ‘like’ list would be longer than the other. Your ‘like’ list is huge and your ‘dislike’ list is tiny. 😅
I have a friend who designed a blanket around Sally from Nightmare Before Xmas. Mostly black with the neons. It’s the ONLY time I’ve used that pink. And TBH, I absolutely love the blanket.
I find it difficult to work with the scrubby yarn alone. Don't care for it. So I use 1 strand of scrubby and 1 strand of cotton and make circle scrubbies. Folks like them, I do not like making them, yet I push through. Have a good week!
Thanks for show casing the yarns you don't like.. I'm not a pink lover either but I wouldn't mind the hot pink together with other neon colors The other yarns I'm not interested in. Thanks for the video.
Juan my Dude! The hot pink.....two strands held together...white, soft pale yellow, blue, black, other neon colors. When you have to strands together, it breaks it up. Sometimes it is enough to deal with and make a project. The jolly scrubbie yarn....again two strands together...peaches and cream white, green, red, along with the scrubbie makes a really nice dish/ wash cloth. The sparkly silver yarn .... use for top of Christmas stocking or actually on the tree as garland. Or in crafting as part of a wreath type situation. The Red Heart Supersaver Brushed....again two strands together, regular NON-brushed Red Heart would be the way to go. You could also use this as fringe on a scarf or a tassel on a hat. (Think movie White Christmas with Bing Crosby. The trim on the red dresses and on the trim and ball of Santa hats) in the finale. Treat it as an accent not the main yarn, Thank you for sharing your journey into yarn you do not like and why. I loved it. I will send you an email with pictures of what I am talking about. See you in the next one.
The scrubby yarn I have crocheted rectangular back scrubbers with crochet handles. My grandsons like and use in the shower. Pattern is from Yarn Inspirations.
I imagine every pause poor Juan went off to scream into a pillow lol.
Hold the scubbie with cotton. Make’s awesome kitchen and body scrubs.
Your so fun!
Whoohoo passing on the right,,over 10k!!!
Hi Juan 👋😊👋👋 😊
The scrubbie yarn was originally used WITH either peaches n cream or sugar n cream …working both the cotton and scrubbie together to make kitchen wash cloths . I never ever used the scrubbie by itself …it’s a nightmare in the frogging world lol
🎉10k congrats
I have always hated the color pink. I am a red head and from my childhood they have told me the color pink looks bad with me. I never buy pink.
So, the worst yarn would be a scrubby sparkle in hot pink! 🤪 I am in complete agreement with you on the yarns. None of them are my favorites either. Send the hot pink to Crystal at B.O. The hot pink paired with black using BOD stained glass square pattern would be beautiful Juan 🥰
For the birds? Great idea! Nest building material for our feathered friends!
Try it❤I made a Mandela blanket soft and dreamy

You’re right, it does give of a garland vibe!
I use the scrubby sparkle yarn for a kitchen scrubby and it really helps get the dishes clean. I love it.
Great idea! Never used sparkly for scrubby!
I agree...it makes great gifts, my mother loves it to scrub her dishes. You can't buy cloths like a scrubby yarn cloth!!
😊
So you don’t like the latte cakes? I love those.
Hi Juan - I dislike all the yarns you dislike as well and for the same reasons, and would never buy it. Why would I even try and convince myself to maybe change my mind? LOL! - Love your channel!!!

Evening sweetie, just finished crocheting a reindeer

I do have black yarn. If you get something mostly black from me it is because I really love you. 😂
Hello Juan 💜 😊!
Hey Juan, I use the scrubby yarns with 100% Cotton. I make face rounds and loofas for spa kits. Everyone loves them.
OMG ur left handed!!!!!!!! I’m a bagoday girl. But now I’m going to be a yarn addict girl too!!!!!!!!❤
Oh Juan, I've been going back and watching your earlier videos as time allows and this one had me cracking up. I love the pink and the fuzzy yarns, lol!
Good Afternoon Juan!

I went to Michael's yesterday and their sale is buy one get one for 50% off . So I got six skeins of grey loops and threads soft classic for $17.36

Rats on your 10,000 subscribers!!!!!❤❤❤love your channel...I try to never miss any new ones....cant wait to see you hit your next milestone.....
You make my day!!! Always make me smile and today you had me sitting here by myself laughing!!! Thank you! ❤️
Hi Juan! I agree with you on all the yarns! Especially pink! When I crochet for someone I try to find another color that they like.
Scrubbie reminds me of horse plaster. Loved this video, would love to see more videos of your demonstrating yarns.
Bahahaha 🤣
I couldn’t use the brushed. I crochet preemie and micro preemie blankets for hospitals. Poor babies would be itchy. 😂
Hi Juan!!! The Christmas colored scrubby make a brilliant type scrubby to wash pots, dishes. Etc... I love mine. Works better than a rag.
I’m currently knitting a keyhole shawl in NEON hot pink for myself. I thought I’d never work with pink but here I am! Lol
Very interesting video!
Thank you!! 🙏
Wepa Juan!!! I was really hoping you were gonna pair that sparkly yarn with the hot pink 😂
Too funny😂
😂
A friend told me that she used the Scrubbie yarn for dishcloths. It was awful! I never did finish it, I threw it out.
I like how you honestly review the yarn. Also how you say for yourself. Thanks for another great video.
I think I broke my thumb clicking so fast 😂😂
I use scrubby paired with a plain cotton yarn to make face scrubbers and dishcloths, you can see/find the stitches better and it looks pretty cool.
This is my favorite color, hot pink. It’s beautiful mixed with gray.
You are hilarious! I love your channel so much! I wanted to scream for you or with you over the yarn barf and the textures! Eek!😂❤
“For the birds”. Yes, put it out in your yard for the birds to make their nests.😊
Hi Juan try a small decorative mat for your table with silver sparkle or ornaments for Christmas
If I could eliminate blue! I'm sure this will bring on the haters LOL.
I’d never use any of those except by specific request for a dear friend. I could imagine making an afghan for a “non-favorite” person using the red/green scrubby - but probably leave it imaginary 😊
I have missed your videos. Not feeling great but better and have to catch up on your videos. Sorry.
I love your hair!
Hi Juan. Looking all lumber-Jacky today in your plaid.
I would absolutely use this as an accent to granny square or African Flower granny black background with yellow and green
Great review! I thought I was the only one not digging the scrubby yarn! Have a great day,Juan!
Juan, I just love you…I felt your awkwardness in working with that yarn. I have been given some to make wash scrubbies for my dishes. My mother knitted with the scrubbie yarn to make washing cloths with. If something is stuck on your dish or glass that stuff really helps clean it. I’m afraid to try it!😬

Thank you Juan!
Hi Juan, I put the scrubby sparkle with regular cotton, like peaches and cream. The regular scrubby i make totally only dishclothes.
I agree with you about "hairy" yarns, for the same reasons. ☺
You crack me up and I love your honesty!
I think with a smaller hook the Scrubbie Sparkle could make some pretty snowflake ornaments. I love the look of the Red Heart Brushed. I think it would make a dreamy pull over sweater. I think I will add that to my list. Thanks for another great and fun video.
I agree with you on both the fuzzy and color hot pink 😊🖖🏽❤
I agree with you 100% on all these yarns! I dont like hairy yarn or yucky dish yarn either & that pink could blind you 😜 Great video Juan 🧶
I agree with you on all the fuzzy scrubby yarn. Doesn’t look fun to work with. Thanks for showing us how it works up.
I have found that when working with the eyelash yarn it is best to work with a 4 weight yarn. Not a fan of the brush yarn either but found it makes a nice sweater. Love the color purple! Ii bet the sparkly yarn would work really well with kitchen cottons for dish cloths. My first time watching your channel; enjoyed your critiques!
Congrats!!! Not "rats" lol

Hey, Juan, the yarn addict❣️ I’m so glad to see you today 🤩😍😘
Hey friend!!! Glad to see you!!

Neon green goes with that pink!

Ha! I just purchased hot pink to add to my stash. I agree with the rest of your thoughts!
I mix the scrubby sparkly stuff with cotton yarn. It makes amazing kitchen scrubbing pads!
Yarn barf! 😂 That’s so perfect. I’m stealing that term.
I knit with the scrubby and love it for dish washing dishes.
👋 👋 Juan! Well, because you asked...I work with all colors but we all have our favorites. I combine the scrubby yarns with cotton and make double-sided scrubbies. I totally agree as I make kitchen scrubbies which are great for non stick pans and they last forever
You are making laugh today Juan!
Thanks for show casing the yarns you don't like.. I'm not a pink lover either but I wouldn't mind the hot pink together with other neon colors
The other yarns I'm not interested in.
Treat it as an accent not the main yarn,
Thank you for sharing your journey into yarn you do not like and why. I loved it.
I will send you an email with pictures of what I am talking about. See you in the next one.
The scrubby yarn I have crocheted rectangular back scrubbers with crochet handles. My grandsons like and use in the shower. Pattern is from Yarn Inspirations.
