I've been running a pistol with drum mag and a red dot with a frenzy shotgun and sniper and it puts in work bro ngl

For me, I like the grappler just because it’s infinite. Once I get one I don’t have to worry about my mobility for the rest of the game

@@CAsnowman it's also super useful in negating fall damage and if you time it right,you can land a strong 160 dmg combo to follow up on your shotgun or ar
One thing i loved about Fortnite, was the simplicity with weapons, no need to think about attachment's, just pickup & forget, was nice imo😄

Its still super simple, fortnite has the most straightforward attachment system of all time. I love that i can finally put a scope on every gun, especially my shotguns. And attachments make it so rarity isnt even a factor when i pick up weapons, i just see if they have attachments i want then move on. Id rather have a green ar with just a vertical grip than a purple AR with a 4x scope and angled grip.

Been using flowberries for mobility. A lot easier to find and stack higher. The rework to the low gravity launches you further and faster when jumping now

The grappler blade is great..... unlimited mobility plus it has other uses too... everyone needs too play around with it more

I run, auto shotty, Nemesis, shield, med and shockwaves.
I'm finding this season so much fun. I like how it has the medalions and gun mods but really, they arent necessary. I dont usually bother with either past making sure i have a decent scope.
There are obv a few challenges like storm being an absolute menace but I'm doing far better this season than i usually do at this stage. Played 13 games, won 6 (46% win record) and have an 8.71 K/D with 3 crown wins.
May not seem alot to some but is a really good start for me considering i only usually get a couple of games per day.
Love hearing Jake say the riot shield is lame 😂 👍🏼
TBH the meta of this season is very similar to the OG season meta, but the weapons are overall better at their jobs. I expect a lot of players who came back for the OG rewind to stick around for a while.
Hah, your opinion of the riot shield is exactly how I feel about Build, and why I don’t play that game mode
I've really been enjoying this season. The bullet drop with the ARs, especially scoped is a nice downgrade from the OP red dots of the past, but still fun to use. I didn't think mobility was an issue, although after I play more and more I can see the slow non-sprint speed and stuff being annoying. With sprint and stuff, movement is great. But they announced they're making mobility changes. That's good, or slow the storm, idc lol. But agree on the riot shield. Such a lame item. Not because it's OP, but it's just so annoying and a get out of jail free card for players who get caught out or don't know how to rotate or play cover. I've been third partied a few times because as I'm about to kill someone they shield up and I gotta go for the feet and stuff, then I get melted by the pistol and another guy. It's fine, I just don't like it and refuse to use it based on principle. But other than those two things, this season actually pretty nice.

Hear me out, the Nemisis AR with 4X magnification, muzzle brake and laser underbarrel is a solid choice when you're running a two gun loadout. The 4X sight allows for easy control on those long range beams, and when enemies come close at a distance at which the scope is too much, hip firing becomes similar to using an SMG because of the laser & muzzle brakes. I like to pair this with a pump shotgun.
For the rest of my slots I like to include flowberries/heal, Shockwaves and EMP/cluster clingers. Using the flow berries + shockwave basically gives you soaring sprints which is great when you need to get away or hard push some enemies.
I'm not sure how many of you guys are aware, but flow berries are great to hold onto in team game modes because eating them grants an AOE effect, applying the brief moon gravity to teammates right next to you.
I dont like the 4x scope on any weapon because of the sniper glare it puts down. I just put a 2x scope on everything that will hold it.
@Nimradz People keep saying that but ive been shot at with 2x scopes and havent seen a glare i swear and people havent seen me while hardscoping using a 2x scope so i just assume its not there or if it is its hardly noricable.

lowkey i like the movement but i don’t like the medallions or the mythic weapons (like the auto shotty) there’s always a crutch gimmick item for people to rely on and it’s really annoying. i love driving the G wagon around and it seems like shockwaves are spawning more
I think the bigger mag for the auto shotty is better because 12 bullets will probably make you kill them and then you reload after but the 8 is quite small
My opinion on how to fix the riot shield is make movement when pulled put slower and second after 100dmg to shield it takes a 30 second cooldown to pull it back out again and last make it easier to stun peolle ive emptyd clips into it and nothing its inconsistent and the shooting feet rarely works
Never struggled so much to play Fortnite than I am now
The grappler blade is good not just for mobility but it does decent damage at close range and will knock your opponent away, allowing you to switch weapons and get the upper hand.

God, i cant play 2 minutes anymore. Everywhere I land someone lands with me and kills me. I feel like If I dont land in a poa or those places marked with Guns, i have no chance.
Last Season i could start anywhere and make It work
I’ve been using sniper, striker AR and a pump shotgun, with shockwaves and shield fish. I don’t use medallions unless I kill someone with them and will only use to get my shield back up then drop it again. It’s been so easy getting kills on medallion holders by seeing them on the map move towards each other and then I’m that rat that goes in to 3rd party 😂

Depending on how I feel I will run a sniper instead of the grapple. I hate that you can’t modify mythics tho. I personally hate scopes on smgs and shotguns.
I prefer a sniper over AR because it 1 taps to the head and snipers have more stealth attached to them this season than they did back in chapter 1. Supressor plus 2x scope makes you basically invisible. Ive ended many random people's games early because they got headshot by a sniper not even knowing where from. I especially love taking down overconfident medallion users who just like to peek then hide with one well placed headshot.
If u throw cluster clingers in fishing spots it drops floppers, shield fish, and small fry
Actually really glad the other AR are projectile so I have a reason to use snipers for the first time
You get the sniper glint with both 2x and 4x zoom, only the first 2 don't give you, so you can risk using the 2nd scope (you will have less zoom) but no glint, which might be good, or you can just use the 2x or 4x and risk having a glint.
I agree Striker AR is my prefered one also, and both shotguns are viable options, hyper SMG is good but with Striker AR having such a high fire rate its kind of obsolete, no sense having it.
The 2x doesnt give glint im 90% sure only the 4x does. I get shot at by 2x scopes all day and dont get the glare.

@@vasektamten5968 Only the 4x scope has glint, the first 3 do not have it, that's why alot of people are using the 2x scope with the sniper. This is 100% confirmed and tested, only the last (4x scope) has glint.

I like striker AR with scope, frenzy shotgun, 3 slots for utility including heals, grapple blade, and possibly shockwaves. This sniper feels clunky to me
I just started playing Chapter 5. How do you switch the weapon attachments or how does that work?

That's the loadout I've been landing on. Auto Shotty, Striker AR, Sniper, heals (big pots if I can get em), mobility (I'm happy with either shock waves or grapple. However, I do play a lot of builds and the ability for shockwaves to just EXIT you out of a build battle that's not going your way is really invaluable. So if I can find a stack of shockwaves, I will tend to take those instead.
Worth noting. The Reaper Sniper rifle goes from 3 rounds to 5 with a drum mag. I feel that's way more worth it.
Would quite like a video on how to play against riot shields. Lost a couple games yesterday to them. Close range but not in face. I had right hand peaks they had no cover. Im not full hp. Shoot hands as feet were covered from a slight downhill to me only just. Both i would of won if full HP. (170ish out of 250) Thought afterwards i should of just got jn their face instead but having right hands i thought i would still easily clean up but nah. Out DPM the second one to knock over but just still lost out

Ive always rocked the pump with the striker ar with flowberrys and the shockwave grenades for transportation and healing
Burst smg with the hip fire mod is crazy with the burst potential. My loadout usually goes sniper, shotgun (idm which of them but I feel like hammer needs body dmg buff) and burst smg, as well as shockwaves and medkits
Nemesis AR, speed mag, vertical forgrip, muzzle break: pump, speed mag, Lazer, muzzle break: grapple blade: ballistic shield: and flow berry's. This is how I feel I like to play.

The grappler is my favorite counter to ballistic shield tbh. Plus great mobility rest of game.

Honestly ive pretty new but i really like a (frenzy shoutgun) a (Pistol or a Smg) movement (flowberry or grabble blade) lasty (heals/Sheilds)
AGREE the Riot shield is a cop out -- missed multi crowns over this cheezy escape hatch - i get why many use it -- someday zero build GUNS, ammo, shield/heals only no grapple no shockwave just guns and skills -- then we have some fun
Riot shield needs a major nerf. The medallions also need a nerf
Riot shields are easy to deal with if u use the cluster grenade. Medallions are annoying, I will agree with that one.
i go AR. Shotti .Riot Shield . 4 clingers n mobility. risky but genuinely clutch for sure. just your kills shield as you go / find shield to use
Yeah the sniper in C5S1 pops off. I hadn't played in forever and was missing all of my shots and realized the culprit was my 1600edpi. I was running 50% at 3200 dpi. I backed it wayyy down to about EDPI which is in the high end but really makes a huge difference in micro adjustments in aiming. This game isn't as much about snap shots.
Also did they turn up the bots they seem way more capable at times than they used to be

I've only come back 2 weeks after 4 years and I feel satisfied that my thoughts were the same as yours. Same loadout and same reasoning. I like the grapple for getting out of storm but shockwaves are way too good. Using berries around the map has been great with shockwaves!
The pump followed up by striker AR is my go since I don't find too many good drums.
I grab meds if I'm chasing zone or bigs if I know I'll be safe from it.
Sniper with acog site, smg with drum mag and vertical recoil, pump with laser, impulses/grappler and cluster grenade

Been beaming with the mythic scar or any at with a red dot mid range then 2x on sniper red dot on shotty pistol/smg movement then heals
If you use the 2x it does still give sniper glare so I would advice using 1.3
Ive been shot by 2x scopes allot already this season, im pretty sure they dont give glare.
Been playing since day 1 and wow this is the worst season we’ve had yet for ZB. You just get headshot sniped every game. No one uses pumps because there’s no more intense gun fights…AR’s kill so fast anyways you don’t even need a shotgun
you get glint with the 2x as well as the 4x, the 2x glint is just a little smaller
Everyone keeps saying this but i havent seen a 2x sniper glare yet ive seen tons and tons of 2x snipers. Ill test it with a friend next time ive got a squad online

I see why you like bigs but I use shield fish. Even tho bigs are way more common shield fish are super fast to eat and give like 35 shield or more(I can’t remember)
And you don’t have to fish them if you didn’t already know you can use any explosive and emp shield breaks

i have been using hyper smg, pump, mobility i prefer shockwaves but the blade is good, some white heals if i get medallion but shields if i dont and a sniper with 4x scope i have been hitting some pretty nasty snipes

I like smg, pump shotgun, sniper, mobility, then medkits
The riot shield should be vaulted after a while, but a nerf that I thought of without considering balance too much is just having the shield move when being shot, giving a chance to actually hit the opponent, and then maybe being disabled after like, 75 damage to the shield, then it comes back after like 10 or 15 seconds
That last nerf would make it literally unplayable
@artemthetrain14 Then buff the amount of hp. It's not 100% a patch that epic should do, but at least then the shield won't be terrible to play against.

The no glint on lower scopes makes sense since it's so hard to find where most sniper shots are coming from this season, so that kind of explains that, lol also at this point we should just call you shockwave jake lol
Always try to get the mythic either at grand glacier or fencing field, shotgun and smg
My load out: Auto shotty, striker AR (no scope), sniper, med kits, shockwaves. I'm not really committed to this though.
The Grapple blade is pretty good against riot shield users, specially in high ground because it pushes them

Been playing split screen with my brother, he is better than me. So when u missed 4 shotgun hits and sold the match he said to me “don’t go close just take ar and sniper + heals” and now we win XD

Hiw do you remove sights on weapons at workbench? I hate scopes with my ar and prfer over the shoulder
for me its square I think when you are looking at the attachment you want to remove but it should say at the bottom while you are in the bench

The shotguns are really balanced, which is good, as with the smgs. The problem is the striker ar. It needs some big nerfs. They could increase the recoil to make it a combat ar, they could increase the spread to make it a scar, or they could give it more damage falloff to make it like a drum gun. Currently its better than both smgs. The sniper needs a few changes, firstly all scopes need glare, secondly a big longer bullet travel time.

Sniper rifles feel like glorified slingshots this season with the slow travel time and bullet drop. I've gotten better results with the Nemesis AR and a 2x scope.

How do you get attachments for the guns?
I don’t bother with shotguns and ARs - reaper + shield makes me unbeatable. Reaper needs to be nerfed it is way overpowered and ruins potential good fights.
