😊 Thank you so much Larry. What a delight to watch this. We watched with mum and she had tears of joy at your reaction. Thank you for your kind words and for your support. It means the World to us, Lucy & Martha
Hi Lucy, it was more of a delight to see you and your sister team up for this masterpiece! You have quite a few fans out there that beg for more reacts! I think the next one on tap will be Over The Rainbow which I'm told you perform this in a way that Eva Cassidy did. I'm looking forward to that one for sure. Thanks for taking the time to comment. That means so very much! Say "Hi" to Martha and your mom!
Ohhh how lucky we are to have these 2 beautiful young ladies /sisters in our life that we can listen n marvel at the absolute brilliance of these 2 . Being a religious song it really delves deep into my soul just how heavenly they sound. Their sounds are so crystal clear n oh so smooth . How can I describe their smoothness other than to say it’s like it’s Golden tones echoing out high above the clouds. They take us on their journey n it’s like they are just singing to me! They are both Angels bringing such a special gift to us. Words are so hard to describe their talents n we are so lucky to be in their lifetime to experience the magic they bring to us. Mesmerising, hypnotising, notes / sounds that pierce our skin n go straight to the very soul in all of us. Pitch Perfect, Loving Looks , Angelic voices,- ohh these two can change our whole outlook on life Thank you to the Thomas family 🙏🏻❤️🌹🌹🌹🌹⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👌
I love both of them. They sound so beautiful together. Now after saying that I have to say that Lucy sings with so much emotion and depth, her voice touches my soul so deeply that I get chill bumps, tingles and my eyes water when I listen to her. I am totally captivated. She has an angelic voice. There is NO one that can sing this song as well as these two young ladies.
Immediately after posting my last comment, I googled Lucy’s mom. For a Mother’s Day celebration the three made a studio recording as a trio singing “Smile”. Be ready for mega chills.
Larry, I believe in the last 2 days have watched 20+ vocal coaches, producers, vocal analysts, and critics, react to Lucy’s rendition of “ hallelujah”. Every one experienced the same reaction, dare I say impact, as you have expressed. You mentioned the Thomas gene pool, during one of the 20+ segments, Lucy and Martha were joined by their mom, who is equal to her daughters. I hope at some point the Thomas ladies will release an album with songs as a Trio.
Chris, did you see how Lucy rolled that last note with a creshendo vibrato.......and held it for another 3 to 4 seconds?!! Absolutely uncanny, perfect performance!!
Thank you for your great reaction! I agree… this is the best version recorded. There are some very good up and coming young artists, but no one compares to Lucy… her voice is perfection on every level. And the harmonization with Martha is incredible. Can’t get enough of these exceptionally talented young ladies!
@@wilburfinnigan2142 I agree Wilbur! Others are talented, but just can’t hold a candle to Lucy. They don’t have the complete package technically, or the performance skills that Lucy does.
I have to admit that this songs I have heard so many times but never to level that Lucy and Martha brings with such love and tenderness is so refreshing to see such a gift that in my humble opinion only God can give ❤❤❤
You have commented perfectly on these girls. They are just spectacular. You understand sensitivity, emotion and beauty better than most reviewers. Thank you. You wll love all of Lucy's songs. Every one of them is just as good.
And Lucy was the young girl at the very beginning of fame with Moon River and here she is joined by her equally beautiful and gifted sister. And they Easily surpass Celine and Bocelli in soaring emotion and even rival Italian clarity. Hard not to cry listening to this.
Larry...You are the best! This is the kind of reaction that I really appreciate. So honest and filled with emotion. And you are not afraid to call a spade a spade or in this case a heart a heart. I agree with all you have expressed. Lucy and Martha raised the standards with this performance to the highest level. Yes, for me this is the best version of this ever done. So powerful and filled with hope and love. I can never find enough words of appreciation to Lucy and also Martha. They are beyond compare and have absolutely nothing to prove as they are as close to perfection as anyone could ever hope to be.❤
@@wilburfinnigan2142 Many of her songs are superior to originals and other cover singers. Lucy takes a classic song, re-works melody and she comes up with a new song made for Lucy to perform. She doesn't waste time on current pop songs, they have a short shelf life. The classics remain regardless of current music. Lucy focuses on that.
@@wilburfinnigan2142 Thanks for great comment. No fan of 10,000 myself. Bieber is famous because he made himself famous on TH-cam, not because he is talented. Lucy is above all that thank goodness. Prim and Proper Brit and we love her for that too.
Beautiful reaction Larry to the amazingly talented Thomas sisters. We loved it, thank you. I totally understand your wife’s views, I grew up and love all those amazing performers you listed, but after following Lucy for awhile now I believe that she has something very special, she really does have an amazing voice and is such a great story teller, and now with her sister Martha’s voice developing beautifully, WOW, very exciting future for the Thomas family and those connected with them. 👏😊❤️🇦🇺
With the greatest of respect Lucy Thomas is on an entirely different level to those "Diva's" you mention, she isn't a Diva at all just the angel of the world and Martha isn't far behind her.
Lucy became a powerhouse in the making when she sang Moon River in The Voice Kids UK! I heard Audrey Hepburn's 1961-version and... It's there's not even a minute comparison. Lucy's is magnificent!
Chris, thank you for this emotional reaction! This is a very beautiful version of the song. Those harmonies with her sister sound heavenly. I am not too familiar yet with Lucy´s music, but this has to change. I am happy there are so many new young artists out there, AJ, Aurora, Amira, Diana, Daneliya, now Lucy.. and the best is, they are not in competition, they all contribute to different areas/styles of music.
There is no flaw, singing is perfect and effortless, what you have is the original already had an emotional tie which is difficult to forget. This is way better than original and had they sung it first there would be no contest. Perfect reaction
The two sister's always perform Awesome duet's together, there perfect harmony together is stunning. You're one of the best reactor's I have Watch before, always give honestly opinion's about Lucy and Martha performances, thanks larryhair.
I love how Lucy's voice is so clear and "lilting". It isn't too breathy, nor does it sound like she is straining to reach any note. Even the very high notes, she just goes up there and hits them like a bell. For a different treat, you should check out her cover of the Etta James song "At Last". In that one, Lucy shows another side to her voice. Not only can she crush it on the romantically sweet songs, but she has the whole "smoky / saloon singer" thing down pat too. Truly amazing. Notice the red dress and red lipstick in that one too. LOL
Lucy's voice and her mature presentation is sensational and the fact that she is still a teenager makes it even more astonishing. Martha is also astounding for her age and she is on a par with what Lucy delivered at the same age. Together they are simply celestial. Nothing beats pure talent and sibling harmonies. PS Larry ask you wife if Celine, Barbra, Whitney etc were doing at 18 years of age what Lucy is producing. That may test her honesty and convert her. PPS I put a stone next to my computer while I played this and I am sure it shed a tear or two. So, some proof of the power of the Thomas sisters.

That's ALL that matters - without emotion, you have nothing - with emotion, you have everything.
Thank You Larry for your emotion during this song. It's really nice to see that there still remains things in this crazy world that can still reach inside people and touch the soul. Please don't change how you bear your heart in your videos. Thanks again.
I'm an older generation my goto standards for great female singers is Linda Rondstadt Mama Cass Elliot and Karen Carpenter and has been for decades. As soon as I heard Lucy she went sreight into the group as good if not better than them her own unique sound and talent and only just turning 19 this month. Martha is 5 years younger and still maturing as is Lucy you do hear it when you listen to earlier recordings. Amazing talent and endless hardwork and dedication to learning. Your wife would like You Lift me Up with Martha though she will probally cry..
Love your reaction Larry. These girls are just stunning in every way. I have been following them for a few years now. Both of their voices are just beautiful. Lucy on her own is incredible but when they duet together magic happens. I imagine its how angels sound. I always loved Celine and Andrea but this version beats them hands down. ❤️
I can’t agree with you more in your reaction and assessment of this cover. I, too, have just “ discovered” Lucy Thomas and …just WOW, WOW!! I know this term is overused but she really does have the voice of an angel. Martha is right there too and I can’t wait until she matures more. I’m a huge Angelina Jordan fan too and between her and these angelic ladies we’re in for some very special music in the years to come. I hope to God that they be protected from the distractions and temptations of Hollywood/Entertainment industry. Oh PS: I love your reaction videos. I think you’re one of the best out there.
I think that the difference was that for Andrea and Celine , it was another day in the job.... Lucy and Martha brought their child innocence and sincerity in this emotional performance♥️
Lucy's more than pitch perfect ..... She's stunningly perfect! You can quote me to your wife on that by the way! LOL! Excellent reaction to these young ladies who give me hope and expectation for a brighter future for the music industry!
I have been going back and forth between the Thomas sisters' rendition and Bocelli's and Dion's rendition, trying to understand why I prefer this one (I have no musical training or background). Both are spectacular. Bocelli and Dion are both incredibly talented with decades of training and performance perfecting two stellar voices. But Lucy's and Martha's version feels far more intimate. Their two voices seamlessly integrate into a beautiful harmony. Celine Dion's phrasings alongside Bocelli's are more "mannered" or artful, almost playing against or around Bocelli's voice. The Thomas sisters create a singular "whole" where Bocelli and Dion create two beautiful but individual performances alongside one another. Both are wonderful. But given the choice I would have to pick this one, hands down.
Thank you Larry for your genuine loving emotional reaction to her/them! I found her awhile ago and she is just so so beautiful I can’t express it enough! I cry each time I hear her!
This performance............this here is on another plane........this is uncanny to be this incredibly, fantastically, beautifully perfect............very emotional and passionate.........flawless vocals and harmonies.......this is the best version of "The Prayer" I have ever heard and seen, just a masterpiece performance!! Lucy's acting is on full display here and Chris, you see why Lucy is at the top! Perfection personified, powerhouse emotions, and acting, all of which was so powerful it just simply overwhelmed you...........this is a good thing; I have shed tears to many Lucy performances and I can't wait until "Rosie".........Lucy will be known across the globe once "Rosie" hits the road.......venues will sell out in minutes, good luck with that!
I went back to watch Lucy perform at age 13 on the voice .. and was amazed at how much she looked and sounded like Martha at this age .. talk about 'peas in a pod'
I get a craving for a "fix" of Lucy and Martha at least daily. While I am never depressed, listening to anything he sisters have performed together always fills me with extra well-being and tranquility. I don't know why, I don't CARE why, I just enjoy the effect. Their smiling interaction and obvious mutual love and respect is part of it, but describing it further is beyond my ability in my third language, English. For me, the bright shining moment is when they momentarily abandon the harmonies and hit the same note together (11:50 in this clip). Lucy's bright vibrato and Martha's steady contribution somehow lifts the whole thing to another level.
Lucy there is know one like her,her voice is outstanding beautiful so is her sister's. Your right about her gene pool. Many artist may sing the same songs, but she has her own rightful gifted place uniquely her own that will lead het to stand out as a gifted artists among the greats. This is my point of veiw.😊
I just listened to the Celine Dion / Andrea Bocelli version (the original?), and find this version more captivating! Of course that is just me and my taste for this kind of music but, hey, my opinion, my enjoyment! To Lucy, Martha and their mother Louise; thank you for the music!
This is what it must be like in heaven. When one hears such Angelical voices here on earth. These beautiful looking girls/sisters and their harmonious sounds are a pre-cursors as to what to expect in haven. 🙏🙏🙏🎆🎆🎆🎆AMEN AMEN AMEN I say
Lucy Thomas (she is British), and has the potential to be the new Barbra Streisand. She is currently 18 or 19, but like Angelina Jordan has a voice far beyond her years. Her top Three songs, IMHO best songs are ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ (a cover of an Aerosmith song), ‘Hallelujah’, and ‘Memory’ from cats. Her musical track is musical-comedy, and she was selected for the lead in the musical ‘Rosie’. She also does several duets with her younger sister Martha and one of the best is 'O Holy Night'. I have a playlist for her videos, you can find it on TH-cam, search for ‘Lucy Thomas Playlist by Terry M.
This was such an extraordinary reaction to such an amazing performance! As one who's never given a lot of study to the technical aspects of music and vocal technique, technicality is not everything. It's more to me of "what are the lyrics saying to me" and "what feelings do I get from this." Lucy and Martha ALWAYS deliver on BOTH technicality, meaningful songs, and giving me a gut punch right in the emotions!
Hi Chris, absolutely beautiful! First time seeing/hearing this and was blown away. Thank you for sharing this song along with your reaction. So awesome.
While Martha is a few years younger (and less developed, less experienced) she is as exceptionally gifted as her big sister. Her voice does not, however, yet have that magical quality Lucy's has. Together they are exceptional! They bring me to tears every time - the only distraction being the eternal goosebumps!
@@wilburfinnigan2142, so little Martha will only improve in coming years - and will have the advantage and experience of having her big sister to sing with and emulate. Something for us fans to look forward to.
@@wilburfinnigan2142, so trotting around on horses may be little Martha's goal in life? Well , it's her life, to do with what she pleases. She is immensely talented, but only one person will determine what path she will take. If she decides that riding horses is what life's all about, then so be it. If, on the other hand, she decides to share her singing talent, the rest of us will be able to enjoy her - as well as her equestrian followers. Time will tell, but I suspect she will be unable to turn her back on her musical talents and heritage. Again, time will tell - I just keep my fingers crossed!
@@wilburfinnigan2142, I have searched through our comments "duel" and I am sure I never wrote "Just" trotting around on horses. I wrote "trotting around on horses may be little Martha's goal in life", but that was by no means intended as demeaning towards equestrians. I was married to one for a decade and half and I thoroughly enjoyed my horse-riding stint in my native Iceland - but I was never seriously bitten by the equestrian bug myself. Still, if anything, I fully understand the passion of true equestrians. Little Martha apparently has great talent with horses AS WELL as singing, and I suspect she will end up immersed in BOTH arts - and enjoying both to the hilt! PS. I am still a bit worried about our "cult" potential. Why are we two old farts arguing about two young girls, whose talents we can simply enjoy watching from afar? Lucy and Martha are of age with my own granddaughters, so becoming besotted with strange girls in another country feels a bit weird! Yet-another-PS. Exchanging words with you has, however, been quite enjoyable. I wouldn't mind keeping it up.
And Lucy is only 20 years old. The sisters truly love one another too. I pray they stay true to God’s desire for them to stay true to their family values. So many young people let their fame ruin them and stop doing what they know is right but give into the mob.
In early 2024 Lucy is taking the Lead role in a West End Musical called Rosie it was due to start while we were shut down with Covid. She has also been involved in the production of it also. youtube.com/@rosiethemusical
Watch their video of Oh Holy Night. It will leave yo bawling like a baby, it is so beautiful. As you say separately their voices are angelic. When they it the chorus their combined voices have the ability to transport us to Heaven.
Great to see some good honest emotion from watching these two amazing young ladies. Be warned, the video of Lucy singing ‘You Raise Me Up’ with an even younger Martha (age 11) will take emotion to a whole new level.
Got to listen to I holy night! Sorry to hear about your wife's sister life can be cruel sometimes, I hope she has the joy of singing with your wife for a long time to come! God willing. 🙏
Larry,I know its an old song, and probably not requested. But Lucy Thomas’ rendition of “ over the rainbow “ is mesmerizing And we both know how amazing Lucy is.
I hate covers, and always prefer the original as it’s their work and shouldn’t be copied. After embedding the original song and voice all others need to compare so are always disadvantaged, so seldom deserve credit or even a listen. It took some time, but after intense comparisons Lucy Thomas covers are better than the originals. Lucy has done about 50, and all are remarkable. Already she truly is equal with the greats. It’s hard to say Lucy Thomas is better than Whitney Houston and Celine Dion or the likes of Barbara Streisand, but she is. Plus can sing Live. I don’t like to say Lucy’s version of ‘Run’ is the best and better than Snow Patrol, but it is! I’d prefer Lucy to sing her own original songs and she has done 4 already. ‘Broken Dreams’ being superb. 🤩
@@wilburfinnigan2142 Yes I know. 😉 Possibly you didn't actually read or understand what I wrote! But so far until more is released from the musical 'Rosie' she has only done 4 original songs not 5. @@wilburfinnigan2142 Yes you are correct, I'd forgotten about 'One Day' which is also from Rosie. 👍So as you stated 5! Yes I know most singers don't write their songs or music nor play any instruments. Again though I think you misunderstand my meaning in the comment. I'm actually praising Lucy. 🙂

Very well-said!
Thank you Larry for your genuine loving emotional reaction to her/them! I found her awhile ago and she is just so so beautiful I can’t express it enough! I cry each time I hear her!
They are both really amazing!
I said you would be blown away with the Prayer. Great Reaction. They are simply the best.
Just love your reaction, perfection!!!
Most beautiful version ever!!
I went back to watch Lucy perform at age 13 on the voice .. and was amazed at how much she looked and sounded like Martha at this age .. talk about 'peas in a pod'
Both girls are absolutely stars 💛💫🎈 Magnificent performance 👍 Respect from Steve In Queensland Australia 🇦🇺🍹
Considering Martha is just 12 years old when singing this with her sister, simply incredible 💖 Lovely review🎵🎶
Phenomenal... 'Blew my socks off' . I agree best version I've ever heard ever. I 🙏 also they are not exploited for their talent. ❤
You have to listen to them do oh holy night.. amazing
More duets pleeease!!! Amazing voices- alone and together.
One of the best reactions ever…..Lucy and Martha duets are something else!!!
Great reaction, no better voices in music❤❤❤❤
Absolutely fantastic!
Thanks so much!
Hi Chris, absolutely beautiful! First time seeing/hearing this and was blown away. Thank you for sharing this song along with your reaction. So awesome.
Ahh! Thank you darlin! Keep that head warm🤗
lol, that was the last video I had queued up with the hair in place. Next few might be a bit different lol!
Can we agree that we are becoming a bit cultish here? Lucy and Martha ARE wonderful, but we, the fans, may be a bit over the top?
She has a Disney princess voice. Absolutely incredible version
Their voices are amazing!
No one does better than lucy and martha. Show more of them please.
Superstars!.💖✨️🥰
Larry you have got to let us know what your wife thought of these amazing ladies
In early 2024 Lucy is taking the Lead role in a West End Musical called Rosie it was due to start while we were shut down with Covid. She has also been involved in the production of it also. youtube.com/@rosiethemusical
The sound when the two harmonize is 🎉
Watch their video of Oh Holy Night.
Oh, yes indeed it will! It does for me every single time I listen to it -- especially Martha's parts even more than Lucy's!
Totally agree
God gives the gift
I love your channel because you expose me to so many different And really talented artists
Thanks so much! I'm so glad you enjoy the channel. That means more to me than you might know.
Lucy is my favourite!,but listen to Charlotte Summers,17 years old, also stunning!😊
"Perfect Pitch": I completely agree!
I'm glad you like Lucy. Firstly she is the so very talented young great singer, but Lucy is also local me. However I supppose maybe soon she will move off to other nicer lands. 🙂
Larry, this is the best version I've heard. Please react to Lucy singing Listen. It's anazing
Chills every time I hear them.
Hi,they are the best.a brilliant review👍.
I totally agree with you. I can't find a better version. A performance by two sisters who act as if the song was written for them. How old are they when the song is recorded? Fantastic! Amazing performance. Goosebumps every time!
im speechless witch is so rare now days
Right?
As you go down the Lucy Thomas rabbit hole and think you have her wheelhouse all figured out, take a listen to her cover of Etta James’ At Last. She can sing pretty much anything.
Larry ... I would love to see your wife's reaction to this in another video if she would let you film it.
You should listen to You Raise Me Up next because spoiler alert there are photo from there childhood and the song in general is really good.
Can you just imagine what they might sound like with David Foster in the mix?
I always think of Martha's voice as pretty and Lucy's as chocolate.
Lucy busts another stunning cover with At Last if you have not heard it you should give her a listen
Listned to lucy´s version of Whitneýs I will always love you
