Have flown internationally extensively ( between India and US typically) and in my experience if you really want to carry a Heavy carry-on, just take european airlines instead of the middle eastern ones. I have started flying with european or even African airlines since I never check bags and just have a huge carryon ( 15-18 kgs)
A simple hack if you're slightly over the weight limit, carry majority of the stuff on yourself. Bring along a separate paper bag, usually the ones you get from shopping. Keep it inside your cabin luggage/backpack. Then, Layer yourself up with the heavier clothing, and with that try to fill your pockets with high density items, usually electronics like power banks. You can also hold items in your hands; you will feel stupid. But hey, atleast they let you go without paying a dime. And once you've checked in your luggage and moving towards the security check. Take out the paper bag/tote out and free yourself by transferring the stuff into it. Anyhow you need to take out some of the stuff for the security conveyor belt. You don't want to wear this much layers and weight on you, one should try to spend the next 25-35hrs as light and comfortably as possible. You can try this plan at home only. If it works or not. Will hardly take half an hour to figure out. The trick is that they can weigh every possible piece of luggage but they can't weigh you. Godspeed. Don't fret too much, even in the worst case scenario, you would have to pay something. But they will happily let you go. You can easily recoup the costs one way or the other in the upcoming 1-3 months at max.
How do you keep the laptop protected in the Carry on Suitcase? Because a backpack has padding for laptop protection whereas a carry on size suitcase doesn't have any. So how do you keep your laptop in the suitcase?
For eithad airways its mentioned 158lcm of max luggage bag size. But mine is 162lcm ( length + bredth + height) . So will that cause any problem. Please reply if anyone knows of it.
According the new rules in Emirates they allow the check in luggage size to max 150cm so with that regulation should I be taking the risk by getting a large size luggage.. I’m flying on 14th to Purdue.
Hi Parth bro im flying tomorrow to USA . I am already a student there. I am again flying after vacation. Actually mine got exceeded 23 kg after removing stuff too . and cabin bag can it exceed 7kg . I cant keep my laptop in it . because of clothes and in Checkin its loaded with eatables and other stuff . So i want to take few clothes . what can i do??
