    Well yea Ziet, u r young n could go for higher risk tolerancy, but trust me, its never wrong to go for REITS n build it long term. U'll thank yourselves 20 years later haha. Its a good time to collect some now as REITS r still in a bad macro for them, so do consider to collect some before the OPR goes back down estimating next year. Just my 2 cents ya, cheers!

      I agree with you! It’s definitely a viable option😄

    Good and quite informative take.
    To new investors, do beware of 2 things
    1) buying at 100 units, cost rm149 which is not alot. BUT this excludes transaction cost. If your brokerage fee is rm8, that is probably too high.
    2) not all reits are very liquid. And not all reits is confirm make money. Uoareit probably suffering since covid. Probably more ppl wfh, office space less in demand? Just an example, i dont invest in uoareit nor am i an expert.

      So to invest in REITs, you would suggest the brokerage fee to be around 2% of what you buy (in this case RM3) to be considered low/decent?

    But do take note that the dividend yield from your own share price. :)

      Hi chaaiying, does TD ameritrade offer stock transfer feature? If yea, you can setup an IBKR account, then look for the feature within the platform that can help you receive incoming stock transfer, else the customer support can help you with that

    For Malaysians, which is the best REIT to invest in and is it more profitable to invest in regional REIT or in western REIT like in the US market?

    There is a new type of REIT, Data centre REIT, which also traded in SGX. I believe it is coming soon in Malaysia as Johor Bahru will be a hotspot for data centre.

    Currently pavreit 5212 is a good buy, rm1.22 per share

      👀 why PAV compared to IGB/SUN?

    Do you have a list of US REITS companies that i can buy through Interactive Brokers?

    • @ZietInvests
      @ZietInvests  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t! But you can actually just search for the REIT tickers in US and they should all be tradeable on IBKR ;)

    I highly encourage people to explore REITs as the benefits of home ownership is fast dwindling and the cost of living increases.
