Excellent video. Thanks. I just completed the job on my 11 Jetta. Follow along, pause, do, repeat. Best part was oh no where do the wipers go back on where they were before on off position ??? My window not washed either and easy to align with the dirt mark on window. Saved !! Repairpal estimate to do the job was 888-1113$. Motor remanufactured was 160$ and little over an hour. Wipers came off using my official wiper tool but they’re a bit tough with minimal leverage on the turning bar so made an extension with deep socket and extension. Also good advice to cycle the motor before putting on the wipers. I was a little afraid of something being off from out of box motor and having wipers end up in the engine bay or in the yard. Thanks again. Also comments side comments were good like Milwaukee etc.
Just what I needed for my 2011 Volks Wagon Jetta. Am sending this video to my son to see if he would be willing to replace mine using this video. Loved it!
Thanks man, great video! I’m in the same boat. Have a Jetta 207,000 miles and still running great have had so few problems with it so it’s hard to let go and now I’m living in dry Southern California where it almost never rains so I’m almost debating even doing it but if I want to try and sell it it might be good. Thanks for the video
I have a 2011 Jetta TDI. Wipers stopped working. I replaced the linkage and the motor and I can see the linkage moving without the wipers but as soon as I put the wipers on, the wipers don't move. I hear the motor working. What could be the problem?
hey the motors sound like they're spinning but the wipers arent moving, are the teeth on either the wiper arms or the teeth on the whole assembly deal there that spins. does that sound like a proper diagnoses? and do i just pull the whole assembly out and take out that nold on the bottom side on each side?

Brilliant, using a flare tool to remove wiper arm. Well done!
Thanks for posting! Used your video to complete the job yesterday. Definitely helped!
Glad I could help!
