Hey guys - commentary in the Irish media is much more measured, acknowledging that taking on the world champions is no walk in the park - the Irish do not see themselves as favorites here, far from it. Talking up (imagined) Irish arrogance is just tactical.
We may need to slow down with us beating the Kiwis twice, don't forget we've got a very good Kiwi coach in Tony Brown. A little like Jacques Nienaber talking to Rassie once a week 😆
The All Blacks failed at world cups from 1987 to 2011 but were considered the best team in the world for much of that period. The best football team doesn't win every Champions League or FIFA world cup. That's knockout sports.
Lads Ireland isn’t a rugby nation, it’s a GAA nation (Irish traditional spots of Gaelic and hurling). So many people don’t understand that rugby is the 5th most played sport In Ireland , a country of 7/8 million people … no one that isn’t an idiot can argue it’s a massive achievement how good Ireland are. We have 0 right beating England / SA / France but do constantly ,. Think people can’t cope with that
@@Alias-gy3tzI mean it’s literally like saying SA are expected to beat Fiji every game (which they are). Fiji has 3 times more rugby players than Ireland 🤣 sometimes I don’t know if it’s stupidity, or just trying to wind people up. Ireland has 0 right beating France / England / SA / NZ but we do constantly .. either way hope you get satisfaction from it 👌🏻
Love the content boys, few things tho We are not a rugby nation, it’s our fourth most played sport - football, hurling and soccer dwarf it in a population of 7mil btw. Keep it legit - good look in the series.
Had to copy paste this because this excuse is thrown around even though it's nonsense. Rugby is Ireland's top international sport. By no means a non-rugby nation. SA have 8 times the population and 5 times the registered player base. So per capita, rugby is bigger in Ireland. You're just a smaller country. FYI, its not our most popular sport either. Irish keep dropping this argument. Weird thing is other countries don't make that argument. Take cricket for example, India have a population of 1 billion and cricket is their main sport. SA with a population of 60 million compete with India and cricket is our third sport. We and other counties never complain about their player base. So it's not that extraordinary. Stop making excuses
About Zels. When I worked in-house for the Stormers and the Bok offical magazines under Craig Ray, Zels would contribute occasionally and his articles were just so much better than mine, it was actually so embarrasing. I teach maths now.
This isn't going to be that competitive, SA should win by 10pts + each match. I just want to see some new blood come through and good set piece. Great show boys, loving the baiting, well played gents
I can't wait for the South African fans to sing "In your heaaaad, in you heeeaaad....Rassie, Rassie, Rasssie" while playing Ireland at home, just to remind them that the song belong to us now. EDIT: Someone in the comments just made me aware that Dolores has passed, I had no idea all this time. As someone who listens to The Cranberries a lot, her tragic death changed my tune regarding this song. Apologies to the Irish people, and to my fellow South Africans feel free to kick me in the nuts.
Yeah and now you're already making excuses with no JGP and Hugo. In our match we didn't have a kicker and missed our best jackler in Marx but that didn't stop the Irish from running wild.
@karatekid-nq6ct irish fans celebrated winning a game against SA in the world cup, is that not the whole point of being a fan, celebrate ur teams success and drink away the loses
@troywilliams9367 rugby in ireland is a minority sport so its an after thought to most irish people as well. I love rugby but most of my friends couldn't care less. On sat most irish people will be watching the euros and gaa hurling. So for SA to lose to Ireland that often is crazy when u consider how big rugby is in SA compared to Ireland
All pressure on SA..everyone thinking they'll win, all the chat from their camp and fans, back to back WCs, at home, at ALTITUDE, Rassie is a god knows everything. You can try and gaslight all you like lads. If Ireland win, absolute embarrassment for SA in their own house and in front of the world 😂
AND less Sexton... Keenan... Conan... JGP hahaha fkme they will be hiding or doing the usual, Ref Officials TMO Travel (oh wait they are at home they can't use that one!) hahaha the excuses will be thick and fast oh Rassie is building oh we were missing players oh we were experimenting
Are you trolls obsessing over what trolls say? No self-respecting SA fan would think that. Ireland is a very strong, well-coached side. I'd say, as an SA fan, that the springboks are only just favourites, but there's no shame in losing to such a class side.
@joelyons886 and SA are without players too. I've seen many excuses about the Irish lads being tired after a long season, being without JGP and HK, and being tired. Noise from both sides.
@@Tomk79rhby both sides have "fans" that are acting like dicks and that is what it is BUT what I really can't stand and something that as an ex-player would never do and that's having current players slag and call out current players Eben and DAA to say and act the way they are is sick I've never heard any of the Irish players currently playing ever call out or disrespect the way that SA players have that is unforgivable and rather stupid Also maybe people in SA need a reminder of where Rassie lived and worked and how many close friends he has as well as current and past coaches that have all come from....... short memories
@joelyons886 what are you on about? Did you read my comments? You've just repeated what I said about trolls from both sides. Re the players comments. Don't you understand banter? Conor Murray gave it back. Don't be so sensitive. Just enjoy the rugby. It will be great craic
Agree with one comment here reference...."best team in the world ", only people trying to annoy the south Africans would suggest that we are better than south Africa, well we're not and not even close, this should be a very comfortable 2 nil series win against a tired and probably disinterested irish team, they've beaten them already in the world cup, south Africa are due a win against them, no pressure 😂
Tired of what? Making semi-finals and finals and falling over the last hurdle every single time for three years in a row? We share the same season. Tired is not cutting it.
@@Kenny-zn6dlyou're the one prefacing this with excuses 😂. Not much to choose between the teams. Irish lads should have more chemistry having played together more. Pro athletes though. Should be fine Sa should be a bit fresher but rustier having not played together. I wouldn't bet on the outcome but would favour SA because of home ground advantage this time
@Tomk79rhby You're right Tom, if we play well in Pretoria then we can thank Andy Farrell for it, Cullen for leinster and rowntree in munster are not fit for purpose, two clueless coaches ruining club rugby in Ireland, don't know how Cullen is still head coach with leinster, if Farrell can get into our boy's heads and get them purring again then it could be a war, wouldn't surprise me if o mahony or porter or even etezebeth get red cards, going to be ferocious 😃
Some fierce cheeky takes. Absolute neck of the two of you. Where is the arrogance in the Irish rugby team? No wonder Irish people have something against SAFFA commentators.
Sorry but an error in your podcast. The Boks have only beaten the AB's 39 times, not 40. Will you broadcast a correction? Ho ho congrats on being no 1 and world champions, the Bokke 2023 finals performance was v impressive. I am picking Boks by ten points this weekend.
Guys...we gonna have to start talking about this Libbok situation. The man is a liability because of his kicking. Siya Magic is money when he kicks. Let's be real, when Libbok is about to kick, we have that feeling in our hearts and stomachs. I think Libbok needs to be relegated before he costs us a World Cup.
Mate you got it wrong. We owe Ireland a twickenham statement score. None of this 1 point nonsense. This is the" see we held back in the pools " game. Dbn can be close but Loftus must be a proper snot klap
8 out of 12 losses, nearly as bad as your record against the Abs since neutral referees came in after 1976. Should be great games but you didn't hold back at the rwc, that's fantasy
Any comment on Ireland being the best team in 2022-23 had nothing to do with how good (or bad) they were in the 80s or 90s. The 2022-23 version was a very good team. Obviously, Ireland is nowhere near the best rugby nation overall, considering all time. But specifically in 2022 they probably were the best team for a while - by winning a series in New Zealand, a subsequent Grand Slam, and 3 wins in a row against South Africa over the period of a few years. There's no need to get so upset about this. The moment has passed and they're in decline.
So they just won the 6 nations you call that decline. Incidentally Ireland won more money than SA for the 6 nations and it was back to back but yeah decline 😂😂😂
@@decekfrokfr3mdx So? What would the stats be if Ireland played SA in SA 50% of the time instead of almost always in Ireland? And the one we lost on neutral ground we left 11 points on the field with missed kicks.

@@philipmcdonald7370 Please enlighten us, what are your number 1-3 sports, who do you play against, and how good are you at it? Bunch of clowns.
Very ambitious talk about all these series wins.
Great show 🙌🏻
Wow!!! Mark has an incredible Rugga memory!
You guys have more optimism with this GNU than I do🤣🤣
Hey guys - commentary in the Irish media is much more measured, acknowledging that taking on the world champions is no walk in the park - the Irish do not see themselves as favorites here, far from it. Talking up (imagined) Irish arrogance is just tactical.
We may need to slow down with us beating the Kiwis twice, don't forget we've got a very good Kiwi coach in Tony Brown. A little like Jacques Nienaber talking to Rassie once a week 😆
Love your podcast!! All you need now is to paint the roof in the background Bokke colours
PROTEAS were fantastic. Almost. Give them credit, considering the politics were gruesome before they left to play a World Cup. ❤
Keo is a rugby ensiclopedia
What a privilege to listen to them.
I love this program
Still i enjoyed your broadcast 😊 ☺️
Ricky’s back!
The All Blacks failed at world cups from 1987 to 2011 but were considered the best team in the world for much of that period. The best football team doesn't win every Champions League or FIFA world cup. That's knockout sports.
The best team is the one that wins in between cups and at cups. All Blacks closely followed by SA have this over history
Love you guys!
Think people can’t cope with that
🥱🥱🥱
@@Alias-gy3tzI mean it’s literally like saying SA are expected to beat Fiji every game (which they are). Fiji has 3 times more rugby players than Ireland 🤣 sometimes I don’t know if it’s stupidity, or just trying to wind people up. Ireland has 0 right beating France / England / SA / NZ but we do constantly .. either way hope you get satisfaction from it 👌🏻
@@pityfool23 🥱🥱🥱😴😴😴
World rugby hates The boks . But we keep winning anyway .
@@pityfool23Leave NZ outta the “ constantly “ those 4 wins an aberration, normal service has resumed!...👊👍
Lekker.
Thanks guys love the honest opinions!!
This isn't going to be that competitive, SA should win by 10pts + each match. I just want to see some new blood come through and good set piece. Great show boys, loving the baiting, well played gents
They are true Warriors! living in ireland - I would never hear the end of it if the World Back to Back Champions lose to a Island of 9 million.
5 million
🤣🤣🤣When Keo said take the Junior Boks to Ravensmead 6000 lunatics i could not stop laughing, as I'm from Ravensmead 🤣🤣
Hi Keo
Whats the name of the bar you will be on the 20 for the Portugal game?
Dias tavern?
Best Show ❤❤
When last did France tour SA or NZ?
Would you consider playing Elrigh Louw at 8?
I can't wait for the South African fans to sing "In your heaaaad, in you heeeaaad....Rassie, Rassie, Rasssie" while playing Ireland at home, just to remind them that the song belong to us now.
EDIT: Someone in the comments just made me aware that Dolores has passed, I had no idea all this time. As someone who listens to The Cranberries a lot, her tragic death changed my tune regarding this song. Apologies to the Irish people, and to my fellow South Africans feel free to kick me in the nuts.
Munster song
I know SA has some of the worst crime rates in the world but ur country has gotten so bad its stealing songs, grim
I know crime rates are bad in SA, but stealing songs is just ridiculous
No Pal,it doesn't.

😂😂😂 brilliant gents welcome back..👌👌
Nothing beats a World Cup. If winning a series makes Irish fans sleep better be my guest.
Ireland live rent free in every saffas head 😂😂
Can you remind me how many wc Ireland have!🤣
Yeah and now you're already making excuses with no JGP and Hugo. In our match we didn't have a kicker and missed our best jackler in Marx but that didn't stop the Irish from running wild.
Na with our 64% winrate over u guys, Ireland is more of an afterthought
@karatekid-nq6ct irish fans celebrated winning a game against SA in the world cup, is that not the whole point of being a fan, celebrate ur teams success and drink away the loses
@troywilliams9367 rugby in ireland is a minority sport so its an after thought to most irish people as well. I love rugby but most of my friends couldn't care less. On sat most irish people will be watching the euros and gaa hurling. So for SA to lose to Ireland that often is crazy when u consider how big rugby is in SA compared to Ireland
Zels is right about u20's. Love watching it. It's faster somehow with less refereeing stops.
Where can one find the clip of Swys and Vic?
08:35 I'll take that one gents

no irish players... couldn't make up that level of stupid🙄
Welcome back Ricky
Love from Ravensmead
Guys, face it none of us can handle another one point win!
They back! 💥
@UlrichHoltzhausen exactly, so no excuses for south Africa to mess this up then 😂😂
@@Kenny-zn6dl Dead right.
@@Kenny-zn6dlyou're the one prefacing this with excuses 😂.
Not much to choose between the teams. Irish lads should have more chemistry having played together more. Pro athletes though. Should be fine
Sa should be a bit fresher but rustier having not played together.
LOL, Ricky from Mexico but the "Pesos" dropping down the screen were Philippine Pesos.
Some fierce cheeky takes. Absolute neck of the two of you. Where is the arrogance in the Irish rugby team? No wonder Irish people have something against SAFFA commentators.
Best show
Sorry but an error in your podcast. The Boks have only beaten the AB's 39 times, not 40. Will you broadcast a correction? Ho ho congrats on being no 1 and world champions, the Bokke 2023 finals performance was v impressive.
I am picking Boks by ten points this weekend.
I would not read too much into the score against Fiji. They had so many issues with even getting into the country on time.
To be fair to Ireland their best player is the 10 who just retired and he WAS Irish. TBH he was bloody good too.
Is that a John orr tech school badge?
Guys...we gonna have to start talking about this Libbok situation. The man is a liability because of his kicking. Siya Magic is money when he kicks. Let's be real, when Libbok is about to kick, we have that feeling in our hearts and stomachs.
I think Libbok needs to be relegated before he costs us a World Cup.
I agree. He is way too inconsistent, and he lacks BMT.
@@joedennehy386haha you know in your deepest of deep nightmares this was indeed the case😅

The wins against SA were all in Ireland
@@timbaker4253 one of them was on neutral ground
So they just won the 6 nations you call that decline. Incidentally Ireland won more money than SA for the 6 nations and it was back to back but yeah decline 😂😂😂
Sounds like on the back foot after the best team antics 😅😅😅😅😅😅
@@decekfrokfr3mdx So? What would the stats be if Ireland played SA in SA 50% of the time instead of almost always in Ireland? And the one we lost on neutral ground we left 11 points on the field with missed kicks.
brilliant to get decent rugby commentary
I'd argue Irelands best player is Irish. Beirne is world class. I'd have him in a world 23.
Would love Ireland to win both tests … South Africans are over arrogant since RWC

Why are SA fans obsessed with the Irish media? Irish media is not the BBC and rightly make no attempt to be impartial!
Long may that continue!
Agreed. Let them be.
But why are you so obsessed with south african commentary/opinion? A bit hypocritical posting that here, no?
@@Tomk79rhby I’m not in the least obsessed nor are Irish fans and commentators!
Can you point me to the all the TH-cam videos taking about S.A. rugby media?
@@Tomk79rhby there is hardly a S.A. rugby TH-cam video that doesn’t reference the fictional Irish media constantly claiming that Ireland are the best!
You missed the point lad. I very clearly agreed with you and said "let them be". And stared that it was hypocritical that you were here, on a south african channel/video, posturing about south Africans not accepting impartiality. Why don't you accept that a south african channel doesn't have to be impartial? Ergo - hypocrite
@@Tomk79rhby I’m not making that point at all! When did I say say a SA channel should be impartial?
Your argument is a bit like SA commentators complaining about the Irish media saying Ireland is the world’s best team when in fact nobody in the Irish media is saying this.
Sorry but I don’t think you understand what the word hypocrite means!
