This was just brilliant. Nevs questions, Caras knowledge of every game ever, Wrighty on on point and oh my word, Keano and Vierira. Wowza. Brilliant. Just brilliant 👏 ❤
Multiple players have been called a Rolls-Royce, but to me, this man truly embodies that archetype. Big, fast, powerful, yet delicate and graceful, authoritative, and technically sound. Just about anything you'd want in a (defensive) midfielder.
The thing that gets lost about Keane v Vieira is how brilliant they were from a technical standpoint. People romanticise about the physical stuff a lot but the two of them were absolutely magnificent footballers, with virtually no weaknesses, both capable of dictating a full football match.
This episode is liquid gold. Just took me back to the games that made me fall in love with football man. Its a different level of football, will never be matched. Unreal ❤
Patrick is the best cdm the prem has ever had. He literally had everything. I've only seen yaya play that role better and Patrick did it for longer in the prem. So so good.
I'm 27 (1997) from Nigeria, so I don't remember the 98-01 Arsenal teams much. The Invincibles though, when I started getting into it. Would never forget the tunnel fight game. We had that night in Paris in 06, and Wembley in 2012 amongst others, but the 4-2 loss at Highbury is probably my worst ever one. After the fight and going up early, only to get cooked by that little boy (at the time) Cristiano. So many elite battles, and very lovely to see all these guys chopping it up now, so freely and respectfully. This is what the game is really about ❤
Will never forget that game vs Man U that ended our 49 game unbeaten run, we didn't deserve to lose that game and showed me you don't always get what you deserve...still proud of the Invincibles team! #COYG
Just moved house, lovely weather with the window open and the cool breeze wafting in, got this on in the background while I’m putting together furniture. Nothing better than listening to legends of the game, and Gary Neville, wax lyrical about their careers. I’m in bliss right now.
Just amazing watching two legends in two of the best teams we’ve ever seen in Europe just chat candidly like normal blokes about their experiences What a joy to witness ❤
He played about 2 and a half games for Arsenal, but one of them was against Liverpool. I watched the game and he was easily the best player on the pitch, and gave one of the best individual performances I've ever seen. He could have been a legend of the game if not for injuries.
@@davidjones88that would have been the game in 2012, early in the season. I watched it too and I was shocked at just how good he was. I've never forgotten that game.
Well that was never gonna dissapoint . One of my fave eps so far. Their competetive natures where ramping up the entire eposide . It waas honestly beautiful to watch.
It all comes down to the way the football bodies want the game to be refereed. People can blame players being soft all they want, but they're that way because the changes in the way the game is officiated forced them to become less physical in general if they want to stay on the pitch, so naturally managers are going to start coaching them to play that way and eventually it seeps through the whole game, players growing up being less combative and physical on the pitch because you're not allowed to be that way.
Small detail but notice at @1:21:40 during the handshakes. PV offers out handshakes to Carra and Neville, but reserves a dap for Wrighty and Keane (although Keane goes for the handshake). So great to see the respect between Viera and Keane, so much so that he daps him up like a teammate

Wright: "We weren't arriving in suit and tie, I can tell you that much."
Mate, last episode you were talking about rollerblading in the marble halls of Highbury 😂
😂😂
That rollerblading at Highbury, had me in stitches 😂
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣
Two of the best mid fielders to have ever played. More episodes like these please. A great watch. The respect and honesty towards each other and every question
This was just brilliant. Nevs questions, Caras knowledge of every game ever, Wrighty on on point and oh my word, Keano and Vierira. Wowza. Brilliant. Just brilliant 👏 ❤
Patrick Viera!! Now you are talking, this show has just moved up another level. 👏👏👏👏
Great guest, not as good as some of the previous ones
@@MrJeffHead how come? because they ae actually discussing football?
Excellent choice of guest.
👍
Ole was probably the best guest imo, the banter, the pacing, the stories, really likeable guy.
the respect between Patrick and Roy shows how incredible the rivalry was between these 2 absolute ballers. Mad love for them both
Those United v Arsenal matches in the late 90s/early 2000s were truly the Immovable Object v the Irresistible Force.
Bloody stress inducing too! Glad i was a teen/early 20s. If it happened now I'd be in a cardiac ward every weekend.
Unstoppable*
Great memories
Those games were stuff of legend, nothing else mattered for those 90 minutes of blood and thunder.
Talk about character building
This is probably the most enjoyable interview I’ve ever seen. Knowing the personalities and seeing them now is legendary ❤
110% mate people only remember how tough they were not how good players they were
Spot on there
Brilliant comment 👏
💯
Completely disagree, i know exactly how good technically they both were!
Carragher's memory is out of this world...
Dude cooking on some skysport quiz afaik
He’s like me, loves football
Or maybe its scripted 🤷♂️
@@lukeburns7249 lol when you cant accept anything, it's all "scripted", sure
@@akashinigami9284 theyre all paid actors...
So so good.
Best episode BY FAR. When Vieira was speaking, the others were silent - not used to seeing that. Sheer presence and great insight to boot. Bravo
This is what the game is really about ❤
Keane and Vieira sitting next to each other eating breakfast, all is right with the world 😊
I now belive in the prospect of World Peace...
I shed a tear. Thank you guys for bringing up the best time of my year.
Will never forget that game vs Man U that ended our 49 game unbeaten run, we didn't deserve to lose that game and showed me you don't always get what you deserve...still proud of the Invincibles team! #COYG
The quality of these discussions is unmatched. Super in depth and interesting and never boring.
Just moved house, lovely weather with the window open and the cool breeze wafting in, got this on in the background while I’m putting together furniture. Nothing better than listening to legends of the game, and Gary Neville, wax lyrical about their careers. I’m in bliss right now.
"...legends of the game, and Gary Neville" 😂
Don’t you start trolling poor Gary, now. Gaz is a proper legend.
The simple things in life 👌
Hope you’re all settled in the new gaff👍🏻
Hope the new place is good bro 🙏
Just amazing watching two legends in two of the best teams we’ve ever seen in Europe just chat candidly like normal blokes about their experiences
What a joy to witness ❤
What a compliment to Abu Diaby. What a player he was.
He played about 2 and a half games for Arsenal, but one of them was against Liverpool. I watched the game and he was easily the best player on the pitch, and gave one of the best individual performances I've ever seen. He could have been a legend of the game if not for injuries.
@@davidjones88He made 124 appearances for Arsenal.
@@davidjones88that would have been the game in 2012, early in the season. I watched it too and I was shocked at just how good he was.
I've never forgotten that game.
Superb mate shame he was an injury prone lad that could never get going but his ability was silly.
He wasn't that good but could have been.
Never thought I’d see Keane and viera reliving the good ol days over a cup of tea. Amazing stuff
Vieira, Keane, Wright! Absolutely outstanding players! Legends and it’s so great to see them all together enjoying their older years
Well that was never gonna dissapoint . One of my fave eps so far. Their competetive natures where ramping up the entire eposide . It waas honestly beautiful to watch.
Keane - 'You hit me and I hit you and we got on with it'. Many of today's players could learn from this.
Now you have players crying on social media if another player does their “cele” and takes the club or country out of their bio if they’re dropped 🙄
Vierra, what a player he was!! We will NEVER forget those battles. My personal favourite Vierra assist though was his one to Giggsy in 99😂
Two club generals - when they speak everyone listens. Much respect is given to them - rightly so! Great show
Class act on and of the pitch. Patrick Viera, PL legend.
I'm proud to have witnessed that era, that rivalry and that fight...I really miss that time!!
