The factory handguard retainer is for front sling clip. The rear buttstock is dragunov style and you can install a ak sling right on it. If needed you can upgrade to some magpul and have more regular looking ak furniture on the gun.

It is only made for this ak and it’s cousins like the nak9 and pak9. You would need to change the barrel, trunnion, and bolt carrier (plus cut the receiver) to fit this adapter and have it work in a standard ak. Thanks
I meant to actually shout you out but my wife was breaking my balls and I forgot to. I believe it takes 1/2x28 ar15 muzzle devices. Just gotta make sure to use 9mm sized ar15 devices. After getting the KR9 I haven’t brought the rak9 back to the range. Thanks!
Run of the mill akm furniture. I did have to use a file to fit it. I think the hand guard required minor fitting too. Took about 30 mins to fit both. Pistol grip screwed right on. Thanks
@@manoloypz1986 any standard ak furniture. Look up robert rtg and apex g parts. If not soviet stocks sells real nice stuff. There is a 40 day turnaround time for their custom stuff last time I ordered though.
But also less recoil and you don’t need to worry about over penetrating and shooting your neighbors kids while they sleep when you shoot at a home intruder

What do you recommend for a sling?
Either Vickers for quick adjustments or a surplus sling for looks. Those are all I run. Thanks

Switching to 9mm make it better or worse?
Before covangus and the 2020 election, this rifle was cheaper to shoot. Nowadays you are just better off shooting a 7.62x39 (or 5.45x39) ak.
But also less recoil and you don’t need to worry about over penetrating and shooting your neighbors kids while they sleep when you shoot at a home intruder
