i like this version the best on youtube.. maybe because of the room aplyfiying the sound of the violin ? i don't know it sounds more haunting ...and soothing.. great performance..
It is very interesting to see this song, knowing its origins. It can be found if you search "4,000 Chabad Shluchim Sing", where it was sung by a group of Rabbis in 2010. The mentioned 'Reb Michel's nigun' is claimed to be the authentic version of the Baal shem tov's original song.
@alvanwel Actually the pianist is superbly in time with the violinist -- pretty well every chord is in exact sync, which given the nice rubato of the soloist speaks of good rehearsal and/or good musical instincts. Many other great recordings aren't so closely synced. Nice playing by both!
Why does some one always have to cough?lol Anyway very nice. I had the window minimized and had completely forgotten that this was some one so young. I would of been so nervous.
Probably not completely. But most Russian teachers train their students to keep their eyes on their bows... so that involves looking down most of the time:-)
Well, this is my favourite violin piece which no one does right in my opinion:) But, apart of Spivakov, this would be the interpretation of my choice. A little too little emotions and too clear and concentred sound, I would say:)
Bravo!!! Excelente, la mejor versión que he visto y escuchado en youtube.

wow i know. it would really distract me if I had my hair down while playing, even though it's only like a 1/3 of the length of hers...
holy crap that is some long hair.
her hair.,...
I think she should take some more time playing this... its a little rushed in some places...
