This build is absolutely crazy! You can probably do this for less than $5000 if you get some decent tubes off of the used market. I would love to do this, but I would have no idea how the wiring would be set up lol. Any tips?
@@nordicnight what ever happened to the build was it just a fun project because in my opinion if you just made the housing and posted it up on eBay you could probably make a decent amount of money. I know I would buy one without a doubt!
My heart stopped when you cut the cables🙄 would be interesting if you can also only run one side like for example the left eye only to have natural sight with the right eye

Cool, thought it would be more complicated to get the correct voltage to the 4 tubes.
Guess you weren't happy with the cardboard lenses?

I never have held, but they all seem like some have nice robust housings but the internal components aren't things that are durable
What is the name of the lens that are connected?
Hey bro, are you going to make a video on how to make one?
Whats next?? Im loving this build! You make me want to part out my 2 pvs14s! Lol

The ruggedized version. You can find them on ebay.

How to collimate 4 tubes in a row?
Two in the middle like you do it on a Bino.
After that you collimate the two on rhe outside
What’s the gauge or awg of the red and black wires you used?
I think I used 20 gauge.

@@Kexb395 I still have it. Looking for a better solution for the eyepiece.
What are these black round devices with cables called ?where to buy it??
Those are the images intensifiers or light intensifies. Just Google it. They are what makes the NV work.
How do these collimate?
Production cost $1000
Sale price: $15000
Knock-off, cheap plastic, electric tape.
Awesome video! Just wondering what those metal connections you put on the intensifier tube are called?
Dont know what they are called, any flat connector will work.
@@nordicnight appreciate it boss, keep up this amazing work!

If it was that easy to pull apart, they strike me as a very fragile system. Correct me if im wrong.
What do you expect, I built it in my kitchen in two days :). The housing is pretty good quality, it mostly needs water proofing.
@Nordic Night Are they not waterproof ? Is it a fragile system in general ?
@@Practice2Perfection lol these are not the real ones its juts ones he has built at home. over all good bit of kit just needs some improvements.

Not a real GPNVG
Maybe about 9k. Either way, it's impressive. And really goes to show how absolutely overly priced military equipment is.
