This is a variation of Sam telling Darrin about her witchcraft BEFORE she married him, in a "what if?" sequence first telecast in black & white on May 26, 1966. The idea was Endora's, to prove her [ridiculous] theory that they wouldn't have married, had he known about her heritage before the wedding...
Saw this when it first aired...seems like yesterday. I remember my whole family sitting around the tv. I read that Dick York fell down on the set one day...his back gave out. He had been taking pain pills for quite some time because of an old injury. He was of course quickly replaced by Dick Sargent.
He originally injured his back while making a movie ten years earlier. The back worsened and production people did the best to make him comfortable. One day he did a scene on the top of a ladder. The next thing he remembered was waking up in the hospital.
Yes rather plane but his expressions way over the top in his animated ways which made him a hoot in the show. Unlike dick Sergeant who is super stiff and super strict acting with no personality practically
Nicole Kidman starred as the witch isabel in the 2005 film, bewitched In that film, they were redoing the TV show Nicole played Sam, and will Ferrell, who was an actor named Jack, played darrin I love that movie!
'"Nobody's perfect'" that phrase came from Joey Brown in the very last scene in the movie "Some like it Hot'' when he l think rescues he Jack Lemmon who dressed in drag quickly pulls his wig off to prove that he's a man not a woman.. and Jack Nicholson looks perplexed when Joey says Nobody's perfect to him. Making you think that Joey biscuit was bisexual or a gay in the movie..
This scene is NOT how Samantha told Darrin. This is an episode when Endora sends them back in time. Samantha told Darrin on their wedding night. Elizabeth Montgomery and Dick York were wonderful together. After Darrin's replacement Dick Sargent. the chemistry was gone and the show wasn't quite the same. Elizabeth Montgomery and Agnes Moorehead and the rest of the original cast kept it going. The movie "Bewitched" with Nicole Kidman and Will Farrell was totally and completely awful! Nicole Kidman is a very good actress; but the movie could have and should have been better.
To bad she jump to conclusion and left this scene thinking darrin sold her out for Larry tate but man he acted like she a monster running away like that
I felt Samantha was not a witch because she rarely called/harness any power outside herself like witches do. She didn't do any rituals. Samantha was supernatural not a witch. She was more like a goddess.
Well, Samantha is a witch. There are several episodes where she used powers. She only stopped using them, Because Darrin asked her to do so. She is really a very powerful witch and there are actually several episodes When you see her using her magic and powers. She is also like 300 years old, Because she is immortal (in the sense of taking a long time to age) like a witch.
Ok can anyone help me find one of these shows where Samantha walks into the bar, Darren is there but doesn't know her fro some reason, it was a great scene, then he says "do I know from somewhere? dying to find this episode?
That was "If They Had Never Met" {January 25, 1968}- another "what if?" episode, where Endora sends herself and Sam into an "alternate universe" to see what would happen if Darrin HADN'T met her- and his relationship with his old girlfriend Sheila.
