Babe wanted a Scotch egg

- Recipe for 4 eggs
Ingredients
- 5 large eggs
- 500g pork mince
- 2g fennel seeds
- 6g salt
- 1g All spice
- 2g pepper
- 100g panko bread crumbs
- 50g flour
- Piccalilli, to serve
Method
1. Place your eggs into boiling water for 6 minutes 30 sec and then plunge them into an ice bath to cool.
2. Once cooled, peel your eggs and leave them to dry.
3. Put your pork mince into a bowl with the ground fennel seeds, all spice, salt and pepper. Mix well but don't over mix.
4. Make a thin patty with the pork mince and place an egg in the center. Bring all the sides together so the egg is evenly covered in the pork. Leave these in the freezer for 10 minutes to chill.
5. Set up a breading station with flour, whisked egg and bread crumbs. Crumb all the eggs covered in pork.
6. Deep-fry at 160°c for 8-10 minutes.
7. Enjoy with piccalilli on the side.

And that he always has every ingredient! But I found one exception yesterday. He couldn’t make the falafel. But lo and behold the very next video that came upon my news feed, he had then been soaking chickpeas which babe reminded him of and so he then made the falafel.
It was just odd and I had mentioned the channel to my son who cooks. And I had just told him a few hours before that he always has all the ingredients miraculously and is always rather excited when he sees an ingredient and grabs it with that ‘get in there son’ mentality lol

I live using chopsticks for cooking. Im getting old and have arthritis in my hands and for some reason they are easier to use than other utensils sometimes. I even have the big cooking ones now.
But I sure goofed buying the stainless Korean ones lol. Never use those in cooking-they get hot quick lol. 🤣🥢

Hehehe, here in Brazil this dish is called "bolovo", that is kind a mixture between "bolo" (cake) and "ovo" (egg).
It's most common eat this with beer, in a pub or "boteco", If you are brazilian.
