- Starting the day off, Michael Dunlop claimed his 20th win at the Isle of Man TT Races with a new lap record of 129.475mph enabling him to get the better of Dean Harrison in the Monster Energy Supersport Race 1.
There was little to choose between Dunlop on his MD Racing Yamaha and Harrison (DAO Racing Kawasaki) throughout the three laps, the gap between the two at one stage was a mere one tenth of a second, but the Northern Irishman edged away on the final lap to become just the third rider after Uncle Joey and John McGuinness to win 20 TT races.
Peter Hickman (K2 Trooper Beer by PHR Peformance) got the verdict for third after a close battle with Lee Johnston (Ashcourt Racing Yamaha) and James Hillier (RICH Energy OMG Racing Yamaha).

Imagine being fully focused for 3 laps doing 130mph around this track where every corner might be your last. These riders are insanely talented.
You can’t really call it a track considering there is no runoff areas. But yes they are insanely talented and have balls of steel.
Since when aren't they doing 4 laps anymore?
@@elonmusk9697 was scheduled for 4, but the first Sidecar race was rescheduled and had to get slotted between the Supersport and Superstock race so those got knocked down to 3 laps

I absolutely love the TT. I'm an adult man and yet I can't count how many times I've teared up watching legends go. This is the greatest show on earth and its unbelievable what they can do on this course. I've got a fever and the only prescription is The Isle of Man TT.

One thing I could never get tired of is watching Michael Dunlop racing a 600 around the roads, the man is a phenomenal talent. A true road racer to his core, doing his best to hand it to the guys who ride their bikes week in-week out. I've even had the privilege to race against him myself!

@@GEORGIABOY23 just my opinion,but Michael's best performance has ALWAYS been him on the yamaha r6...talented don't really describe him at all...to me he has more than just talent...its literally in his blood.

The Isle of Man TT is the most spectacular motorcycle race in the world. I have been fortunate to go many times from the mid 1960s through the 1990s.
If you have never been you should go. Put it on your bucket list, If you can go on a motorcycle even better.

This was my first time watching a TT race live through TT Plus and I loved every minute of it. Sad to hear of the loss of Davy Morgan afterwards though and my thoughts are with his family and friends.

I can’t imagine trying to learn a track that large. Each braking point for every turn, what speed to carry through each curve, which rise lifts the front. Mind boggling.
Read the pace notes some day. Braking points are not marked ,its a public road not a race track ,Their is no brake markers .

This is a race you have to run multiple times to understand where you made your mistakes on your previous run. Experience wins the TT

Absolutely one of the best races,I was gutted for lee to lose the podium he is one of my favorites!!😕😭
i don't wanna be rude but it's his own fault. the footage shows that he was stressing and was in the way (blocking the view) and the mechanic couldn't get it in properly because of Lee.

thought exactly the same watching it. he was clearly off his pace for some of the lap after. fingers crossed it goes better in race 2 and we get a 3 fighting for the win

I'm 64 years old and I've been addicted to riding since I was 9. I've worked in four bike shops, obviously I have got to ride so many types of bikes and loved every one of them! I currently own a 03 Honda VTX 1800c. That thing is a beast! 😍 It's been setting for about a year and a half now because I ended up getting cancer multiple myeloma. It totally disabled me and I can't ride. 😭
One of my Bros bought me a mini bike and I can't even write it. How depressing!
I'm fighting this cancer because I want to ride again. I have to ride one more time before this damn cancer kills me. Even if it's so many bike lol.

I'd put TT racers on top as well but rally racers aren't that far behind at the top level. The rally spectators would be the bravest spectators.

I’m 60 and disabled, love speed, back in the day would go to Ind 500, would love to spend the two weeks at the TT. That dream is past and gone. But I can watch these videos, yes I know not the same.
