The name BabyMetal was never about the young ladies ages. The name BabyMetal is about the birth of a new Metal Genre. And their youthful beauty has nothing to do with their makeup artist. No one is trying to keep them in a Time Machine. Their new material is evident of their musical evolution and maturity.
This was taken from the second night of the sold out 2 night concert at Makuhari Messe Arena in Tokyo. You couldn’t see it because of the lighting but here were approximately 20,000 fans in the audience. Good luck and until next time.
When you see them in their native clothes and makeup, they look even younger. It's an asian gene thing. Especially when Suzuka is just 5'2" and Moa is 5' tall. And many Japanese women take very good care of their skin and hair.
Good reaction, thanks! The visuals of the music video are from their last concerts in late January at the Makuhari Messe Exposition Hall in Chiba. In that configuration (halls 2 and 3) has a capacity for 20-25k people. So yes, it was an actual concert. Being considered sometimes a live act, they don't stage a setup like that only to film a video. On the contrary, the video is a natural consequence of the live performance. And they spare no expenses, even flying drones inside the venue to get some spectacular footage. They have evolved a lot in appearance, outfits, physically and musically over the years. They were 12 and 11 years old when they started so, it's pretty obvious.Their name BABYMETAL, was actually a pun about the writing and pronunciation in Japanese of "heavy metal": BABYMETAL = ベビメタル (be-bi-me-ta-ru) / heavy metal = ヘビメタル (he-bi-me-ta-ru). In my opinion the way they look and sound now totally fits their current ages (25 and 23). "Light and Darkness" is definitely way out my comfort zone musically. It took a little while but the song is finally growing on me as I'm noticing more and more cool elements. For instance, that unexpected note on the chorus. Not to mention Su's magnificent vocals. A little bit overproduced on this studio recording, but I can live with it... at least until we get an actual live version... or I see them performing it live next May. 😁 Until next time! 🤘🦊
Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 Thanks for keep supporting BM new era and sound. Another lovely ballad with beautiful SuMetal vocals piercing into our hearts. Love the J-pop sound and the nostalgic vibes. Here's some info about this song: "One of the discovered 10 parallel worlds is "LIGHT AND DARKNESS" and this 4th pre-release digital single “Light and Darkness” centers around this theme. Because light exists, darkness also exists. And because darkness is present, there is also a world that shines. During the night when light and darkness intersect, what we seek after poisoned with darkness awaits a world filled with strong love. As the door opens, is it hope or despair that awaits us? The song expresses the duality in everything and the way things are perceived and interpreted differ depending on each person’s point of view." This was a world premiere at Makuhari Messe 2023 setlist, along with "THE LEGEND", Momoko Okazaki is the third backup dancer performing here and possibly the new official member. MoaMetal once again adding the backing vocals and all of them dancing once again with the full trio formation. Here's the lyrics translated with some help. Thanks for sharing this. See you next time 🦊🤘❤️ Lyrics : MK-METAL / TAKEMETAL Music : TAKEMETAL Arrangement : tatsuoMETAL [Lyrics] Even the reality buried in the snow of sadness Even these hands that have been dyed red by mistakes Take me to oblivion To an ideal world filled with love Open that door Come on Ah, Ah Being poisoned, falling into a dream A night where light and darkness seek and play together Drowning in a sea of rhythm Even my memories are being destroyed This love is strong and strong I'm sure it won't stop This love is strong and strong Never let go Let me out. Let me out. let's jump out hit by the rain of joy Let me go. Let me go. Right now Let's dance the night away Take me to oblivion Take off the mask filled with lies Right now Being poisoned, falling into a dream A night where light and darkness seek and play together Drowning in a sea of rhythm Even my memories are being destroyed This love is strong and strong I'm sure it won't stop This love is strong and strong Never let go In the night when sorrow overflows Keep this love warm Open the door now Come on Ah, Ah Even my dreams are poisoned A night where hope and despair seek and play together Ring out forever Even my heart is filled This love is strong and strong I'm sure it won't stop This love is strong and strong Never let go
A heavier version was performed live. This music video version seems to have a stronger J-Pop element. This MV was filmed on January 28 and 29, the same days as Metal Kingdom I was seated on KAMI's band side on the 28th, so I was able to see the massive and intense performance right in front of me. Although they don't appear in the music video, the members of KAMI band are conventional members, and they were playing happily 😁 And this song is being produced by the same team as SHINE!
Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。I assume Amuse is currently releasing MVs with live footage + studio sound, in other words "imperfect live video", on purpose, because they have to block their "real live videos" by copyright strike in order to sell them in a form of Blu-ray/DVD. After the two-year long hiatus, this is a good tool to remind people of the attractiveness of BABYMETAL and gain new fans, I believe. I guarantee that the real audio has more power to stir your feelings. If the new trio performs this song during Sabaton's Europe tour at Wembley etc., you will love it. I witnessed this performance last month and was mesmerized at the venue. Although I could not digest everything at the live debut, I finally grasped its artistry as a whole by this MV. This song reminds me of something but it is very difficult to explain it. The part with Su's calm voice makes me uneasy about something. The part with her powerful timbre and decisive facial expression together with sharp moves by Moa and Momoko makes me decisive for something. The problem is "what the hell is my 'something' ?" Please stop shaking and teasing my emotions, BABYMETAL! 😡 😄
Good reaction - on their looks, nothing to do with make up or trying to make them look younger than they are ... watch all the videos you saw before and you will see they have been growing up quite naturally over the last 12 years and more. Likewise their music has evolved and matured with them - but they always had deep and meaningful songs among the fun ones. I feel this album, concept aside, is highlighting Su-metal's vocals more than anything and possibly more than has been the case in the previous albums - they each had maybe three or four songs that really did that, this one so far every song has done it.
The name, "BABYMETAL" has always referred to a new type of metal music, not the age of the girls. This is the recipe for perpetual growth. Kitsune dao!
How many people were holding their breath, as Su's note went higher and higher, and waiting for the beat to drop?... I didn't start breathing again until the instruments kicked back in. Seriously, i think Babymetal has been taking lessons from edm tracks on when to drop the beat.... not that many bands, especially metal, is so good at building up that anticipation before dropping the beat, no one does it as well as Babymetal. 😅🤘🦊🤘
Nice one Mo mo metal👊🏽⚡️The name Babymetal according to the producer Koba- metal is not a reference to their age but a reference to the beginning of a new genre of metal. They are still 10 yrs later creating new sounding music.

They still look very young ❤️ and that great 👊🏾

[Lyrics]
Even the reality buried in the snow of sadness
Even these hands that have been dyed red by mistakes
Take me to oblivion
To an ideal world filled with love
Open that door
Come on Ah, Ah
Being poisoned, falling into a dream
A night where light and darkness seek and play together
Drowning in a sea of rhythm
Even my memories are being destroyed
This love is strong and strong
I'm sure it won't stop
This love is strong and strong
Never let go
Let me out. Let me out.
let's jump out
hit by the rain of joy
Let me go. Let me go.
Right now
Let's dance the night away
Take me to oblivion
Take off the mask filled with lies
Right now
Being poisoned, falling into a dream
A night where light and darkness seek and play together
Drowning in a sea of rhythm
Even my memories are being destroyed
This love is strong and strong
I'm sure it won't stop
This love is strong and strong
Never let go
In the night when sorrow overflows
Keep this love warm
Open the door now
Come on Ah, Ah
Even my dreams are poisoned
A night where hope and despair seek and play together
Ring out forever
Even my heart is filled
This love is strong and strong
I'm sure it won't stop
This love is strong and strong
Never let go
Thank you, as you can see TH-cam translate was very poor 👊🏾

It is much more professional and polished
