The way I interpret the lyrics, is that the subject looks at the night sky and imagines colors that represent her hopes and dreams for the future, but then a life changing event happens, the monochrome firework, and washes away all the color and with it her hopes and dreams. She gets through the dark times by imagining the colors are still there, but the result of the firework still persists and eventually despite the harm caused she will make those colors come back by smiling and being positive

Babymetal live in Japan always has audio as good or better than a studio recording. Literally. Almost every Japanese concert is being filmed and recorded for a blu-ray. Their live audio engineering is out of this world.

A lot of Babymetal songs mix English and Japanese, so that will be something you'll notice throughout your Babymetal journey. I will say that the one's you've reacted to couldn't be more from opposite ends of the spectrum, lol. I look forward to the next one.

Glad to see you're back with this beautiful song, I would have love if you share original version with all of us first as well the rest of new singles, so far no one is having copyright blocked issues so don't worry about it and come back soon.
BM fans already know this type of unique acoustic version like Akatsuki Unfinished Version live at Legend 1997 or The One - Stairway To Living Legend, so we're used to this SuMetal's vocals power to reach and melting our hearts. She improve a lot with her English accent when singing and talking, so there's no reason for me to be a negative critics on them.
Fans at Sabaton's Europe Tour are enjoying this song (original) each one of the concerts and having a magical moment.
They also released this version and The One - Stairway To Living Legend for streaming platforms.
Thanks for sharing your analysis and hope to see you next time 🦊🤘🌈

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。[FYI : In the electric version of this song performed live at Yokohama venue on April 2, the audience (including me) sang that ♪ oh oh ohoo ♪ part with Moametal and Momometal while Su humming the melody in the sea of phone lights. What a bliss! ]
The girls proved that they can do anything. They have forced people to bang their head with heavy music and sharp choreo. Now they can depict various images by just singing and project them into the listeners' brain to move people emotionally. Thank you BABYMETAL. And thank you Koba, the BM producer, for your serendipity. Some 13 years ago, you certainly discovered something amazing and sacred for us.
Speaking of the three figures in white hood adding some background vocals, they are certainly homage to BM's girlhood with original three girls.

Basically married to Babymetal. Well you are correct that this is on another level. There is nothing that will draw me away from this group. I love Su, Moa, and Momo. I’m a hardcore metal; screamo kind of guy, but shoot these women always bring a tear. They actually inspire collaboration. Too bad all of the politicians don’t care.

Yes, their is a lot going on in Babymetal (audio and visual) and her vocals don't always stand out because of it. But when you notice how much precision she puts in her singing you will be amazed.
And she has to use a lot of power, so she can still be heard over all the metal music she normally sings over. 🙂

From Gimme Chocolate to this shows the story and evolution og Babymetal for sure. They are always changing and evolving, especially now musically as they are growing up.
This was probably the best and one of the first times fans got to hear Su's new leveled up adult voice truly showcased. Moa's English has come a long way, but to me the impact of the contrast of her softer almost soothing silky voice compared to Su's cutting soaring wall of emotion really makes those parts of the song amazing to me!

Nope, that's exactly how Moa recorded it on the Album too, so it was planned this way...the word "to" was dropped as a vocal technique to ensure the Flow of that part, and again with the word "it" in her second vocal set...and with the Huge number of International Fans they have, Me included, we are not surprised when we hear English in their songs and would be very surprised if there was a song without it!
There are reasons, one of which you just witnessed, why they have won so many awards for "Best Live Performance" and "Best Live Act"....

The lyrics are honestly very simple. The phrasing in English is more complicated than the Japanese. It’s more of knowing the background behind this song and having been to that city (I lived there for a short while) that makes this song so deeply moving.
We re-reacted to this song knowing the context and both wept deeply. It’s such a hopeful yet painful and beautiful song.

Totally agree with their American - English singing (unless it's distorted) but I've come to the reluctant conclusion the Japanese audience like it - even if it doesn't flow well (I don't subscribe to the doing it out of "respect" for the Western audience). I'm often shocked out of my usual BM trance when they switch to English and the USA accent starts to come through. In Japanese they absolutely shine though. Great reaction to my favourite group :D

I always find it frustrating how most people get introduced to Babymetal from Gimme Chocolate. It's really not a good representation of what current Babymetal has to offer. Not that it's bad, but it makes Babymetal look like it's just a gimmick when they're so much more than that. Su is easily my favorite vocalist ever.

TOTALLY agree - there's several to avoid at first hearing - Gimme Chocolate being one, some fan based songs and a few that are very pop like or maybe just too heavy (I wouldn't recommend "death" to a pop lover for example as an intro 😂). First usually best for middle ground - you never know whether yr appealing to someone who's a metalhead or a pop lover.

It's still beautiful with the English and her pronunciation is better then most native speakers. It's a foolish and most pathetically gaijin take ever given the value of it is worthless and the fact you needed to even mention it shows desperation to find anything to critique.
