This one has feeling of The Queen. Whole package sounds like it was made by them. This mix classical and rock. Like in Who wants to live forever... It brings You down and then builds You up emotionally. There is sadness and there is hope in it.
First concert without Yui and last concert with Mikio before he passed. It's crazy how the future made this performance that much more emotional for fans.
The part when she tear up a bit says: "どうして? 寂しかったのに", "why? I'm so lonely" and to think that this was her 20th birthday celebration concert and yet Yui couldn't make it to this show due to her injury that eventually leads to her leave the band, I think the lyric of the song got to her a little bit there.
Man this was unexpected. The range of emotion Su has in her voice is something else. Very heartfelt. Need to research what this song is about. Great vid guys!

This is also how BABYMETAL songs are usually written, without poppy parts heavy parts wouldn't be so "visible" and so on. Also this song is kind of tribute of A-bomb victims sung in Hiroshima by japanese band. That's why not only Su but whole band is very emotional

@@juicesghost8501 yeah can only imagine the sadness the people feel over there. As an American, can't say im glad that happened. Wish there was another way to end the war. But before our time so who really knows. We live a very fortunate life nowadays to not have to experience all of that.
Let me tell you the biggest tear-jerker in this vid, it's 3:39. As you see a guitarist cutting the riff, Su starts singing, "Though I can never see you again, I will never forget." The guitar player is the virtuoso of Kami Band, Mikio "The Little God" Fujioka, who died less than one month after this show by a tragic accident. Oh man, I'm glad that this didn't get blocked and I got to see your reaction. This was such an emotional performance. It was the first time they performed without Yui, and the last time they performed with Mikio, and it was Su's hometown too, so that added a little more of emotion to this song in particular. It's almost impossible for me to not tear up at least a little bit while watching this performance, or just by listening to the song. It's so beautifully done. I absolutely love it. Great reaction guys! 🦊🖤
This concert is 'Legend S' meaning it's a celebration concert for Su of her 20th birthday. In Japan it's a big thing for someone turning 20 marks their adulthood and their independence into society. But sadly Yui wasn't there, and if Im not mistaken, this is the first time they perform just with two members and wasn't planned that way, so no backup dancers, and the crowds are singing Yui's parts the entire show (I have the BluRay it's amazing btw).
The thing that always gets me is the shot of Mikio Fujioka at 3:40 There is no reason musically for him to get a solo shot there, but the lyrics goes 二度と会えないけど忘れないでいたいよ
There are a few things to this performance, that always makes me tear up. This was Su's 20th birthday which is very important in Japan. This was the first time Babymetal performed in Su's hometown Hiroshima. This was their first concert without Yui. This was Fujioka Mikio's last ever performance (RIP). The other guitarist playing is Mikio's former student and friend Takayoshi Ohmura, who now brings Mikio's guitar to every Babymetal performance and most of the time plays it as well. That guitar is the one that Mikio plays in this song. And finally, the song lyrics is about someone very close, who you can't see anymore (I'm not 100% sure though, correct me if I'm wrong). In retrospect this could be applied to both Yui and Mikio.
She can make herself and grown men cry, but is able to keep singing ! She is in a class of her own. She could already do that when she was just a kid, a natural talent.
@@autohmae That's right! She can cross borders and make people who don't understand the lyrics cry with her outstanding voice. I think this is her natural talent.
I swear, BabyMetal is the only band that makes me tear up allllll the time. And it makes me even happier when I see someone else touched by BabyMetal. Great reaction. I was right there with you. Su is beyond beautiful in this performance. Everything about this entire concert was amazing and well done. I bought the Blu Ray so I can watch this anytime I want. This was the first Concert Yui missed due to her health so that is the only part that sucks about it. Moa completely stepped up her game though and I still love every minute of it. I am a Moaholic so it was cool seeing her perform the Black BabyMetal songs solo. I just can't imagine how perfect it would have been to have all 3 of our girls there though. Happy Holidays all. I
That is awesome! BABYMETAL is really amazing! So unfortunate about Yui-metal and eventually Mikio but still a really great performance! Happy Holidays to you as well! 🤘🦊
Comment before watching the premiere: This is definitely in my top 5 most emotional music performances I've seen so far, maybe even up to second. Ironically #1 would be the Last Live concert performance of Endless Rain by X Japan, when the crowd sings the chorus repeatedly all by themselves for over 10 minutes and the band leaves the stage in the middle of it after all of the members started crying. It's ironic because Endless Rain was (one of) the inspiration(s) for No Rain No Rainbow. I would love to hear Koba list all of the X Japan references and influences in their shows and songs some day. My list of what I'm aware of is pretty long and I'm not sure I even know half of them. The lyrics are pretty fitting when it comes to Su's and BABYMETAL's story and they fit even more when it comes to Su's beloved hometown, where the concert was held, Hiroshima. I think the latter is one of the reasons that makes this performance so special and emotional. If it would have been in Tokyo or Chiba, I don't think she would've been so close to crying on stage as she was in the video.
I adore this song, I'm having it played at my funeral. I can't recommend this whole show highly enough, you really ought to get the blu-ray, it's an incredible spectacle.
Great reaction again - and not the first watery eyes I've seen with this song and performance. They have only played it live 5 times - the first time was at Legend 1999 in June 2013, so it could have gone on the first album, but Su wasn't happy that she was giving the emotion of the song enough attention and was concentrating more on getting the lyrics right and hitting the right notes. It was only when she saw people in the audience crying that she realised her voice could effect people that way ... and the song was included on the second album. The guitar arrangements were written and played by Kami Band guitarist Leda Cygnus and it pays homage to 'Endless Rain' by X Japan.
This was amazing. This was the legend performance for her birthday, and Yui missed it due to "injury" or "disease" (we really dont know exactly what it was due to the secrecy around their private lives), but Su and Moa absolutely killed this. The lack of Yui made this whole set much more gut wrenching. In the songs that would feature Yui, there was silence so the crowd filled in to help. This whole concert is a truly beautiful one. I suggest you watch the full thing when you get the chance. The song it self is truly beautiful and the arrangement is amazing. This song and Starlight particularly always bring a tear to my eye.
Last Concert from Mikio, No Yoi there, oh maaaan, so hard, despite the incredible live performance, and the production of this concert is so top notch but it's still felt so sad :(
Don't worry. I heared this song a hundred times and I still forget to breathe every damn time. Only thing i can say is: The day I fell in love with Su... She gives you the voice and the fitting gaze. So bloody perfect and emotional. Greets from germany.
Great reaction guys! That's BABYMETAL for you, they take our souls, turn us inside out and we LOVE IT. Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday to The ONE. PEACE. BABYMETAL FOREVER 🤘🤘🤘
Pretty sure Su's harmonizing with herself (backing track). I've seen this video a couple of dozen times and it makes me tear up every single time. Another nice reaction, y'all. 🤘🦊
Great job guys. Thank you for that. This was the first thing I watched after waking up. I don't really want to listen to anything else for a while. How amazing is it when you don't even know the words, but Su and Kami Band make you feel that way? Imagine all of the tears that hit the floor in that arena that night. Amazing. Love you guys! Merry Christmas!
Commenting again after watching the video and I'm not really sorry about it. Probably the best No Rain No Rainbow reaction I've seen so far. Also probably the first time I hear someone notice or at least mention the wavering in Su's voice. I think it's really noticeable, so for me it's a mystery why nobody commented on it before in the "reactions" I've watched. I definitely see what you meant with "I couldn't hold it together". It's crazy to think a vocalist can make you cry without you even understanding what they're singing/saying (assuming you didn't read the lyrics beforehand). And lastly, a bit of info I forgot in my other comment: No Rain No Rainbow is the only song arranged by a Kami Band member. Guitarist Leda, who isn't in this performance (Mikio and Takayoshi played at Legend S), arranged the song and recorded the bass and guitar parts of it. He's also the only member who ever did any instrumental recordings in BM songs. Besides NRNR, he played bass and guitar in the recordings of Akatsuki, Ijime Dame Zettai, Amore and Arkadia. He also played the bass in Road of Resistance. If you think about it, technically the time he's involved with BABYMETAL is as long, if not longer than Yui's, if he recorded the original single of Ijime Dame Zettai, which was released in January 2013, and not just the self-titled album version of the song.
Comment as much as you want... we are here to respond.... I am tearing up just responding. We are going to do a deeper break down wednesday. I am not sure how you could not notice that with Su. We do not do any research on the songs or read lyrics. We purely go by how we feel, always

A really emotional performance for so many reasons that many have pointed out already. As you’ll no doubt know by now this was Mikio’s last show with Babymetal as he would sadly pass away shortly after this concert. There is a lovely little tribute to Mikio in the editing of this video. At about the 1:40 mark of the video there is a beautiful shot of Su singing and Mikio playing, this as Su sings the lines “We shall never meet again, but I want not to forget you forever.” Really beautiful
Great reaction! Definitely one of my favorite performances. You guys need to check out the intro to that show. Maybe in one of your next twitch streams. It's amazing.
No Rain No Rainbow First show without Yui Last perfomance by Mikio-san Live at Hiroshima, Su's Home Angel voice by Su Great Guitar solo by Mikio-san And Deep lyrics T_T This song is so sad who put the onions here ? Good reaction Man .
Legend S Baptism XX was supposed to be their greatest concert ever for three of them, so sad Yui told by her doctor and forbid her to do the concert and she made decision to leave BabyMetal later. Leaving the two members Su and Moa to proceed, the show must go on and the crowds was helping them singing Yui's part, it was quite emotional. You guys should Watch the full concert and witness the craziest opening concert ever! Regarding this song, when The Queen cries, we cry. It was so amazing how she delivered the emotion and reached the crowd there even the video viewers. Anyway great reaction guys, keep the good work!
Thanks so much. Yeah, we heard there was a lot of emotional things about this concert. We can totally react to the concert one song at a time. We all cry together haha.
I love a good ballad, and I was very happy back then to learn that BABYMETAL excel in that area as well. I think this might have been Su's best performance ever, you cannot put more emotion into a song. The same goes for the guitars, as you pointed out. Your faces at the end speak for themselves.
You're gonna hear plenty about this song and concert. It was their first performance without Yui and their last with Mikio. BabyMetal crossed 80's power ballads off their list with this one. BabyMetal certainly broke all the rules. I haven't used the phrase "onion ninjas" for awhile. But with some BabyMetal songs these guys come out in force. 😭😭😭 Keep up the great work.
⚡ / ☂️ 🌈 As has been pointed out, this was Mikio Fujioka's last appearance with BABYMETAL. They have a close-up on him during this part: "Nidoto ae-nai kedo, wasure-naide itai yo." (We shall never meet again, but I want not to forget you forever.) Mikio passed away on January 5th, 2018, before this video was released. As far as what Su was thinking, that's hard to know. Yui was supposed to perform at this concert, but was unable to appear because of (still unspecified) health reasons. The introduction just before this song refers to to the bombing of Hiroshima, Su's home prefecture, and the location of these two concerts. DESPAIR 『絶望』 "The bright beam of light That wiped all light from the world Also ceased people's light of hope The skies turned dark And endless rain fell upon the people Who had lost all of their light and hope But endless rain doesn't exist And the people hope of black skies to clear out So the heavens can restore the light that had been lost They hope to discover that there's happiness at the end of sorrow And they pray for light of hope to return to them." (This intro was added for these two concerts. That doesn't mean the song was originally written to be about those events, just that they were drawing a connection for these two special shows in Su's home prefecture of Hiroshima.) The last line of this song is: "An endless rain fills my heart, forever." That's considered to be a reference to the X-Japan song 'Endless Rain'.
How crazy is it that with just her voice and stage presence, Su can convey such powerful emotions - despite the fact that the vast majority of us have no clue what she's even saying?? This was a super-genuine reaction - you guys rock!
Congratulations archivement unlocked : Crying to a BM song.🤘🦊 . Happy Christmas. Edit: @1:39 in the song htey show Mikio Fujioka (RIP) while su- is singing: We shall never meet again, but I want not to forget you forever. If the dream continues, I wish I'll never wake up from it. I realy like this tribute to our litle god.
First you cried to LOVEBITES: Epilogue live and now Babymetal:No Rain No Rainbow. Two incredible power ballads that hit you in the feels the back story of the Babymetal song (this performance specifically) is why Su was emotional after loosing a band member and Yui Metal. Merry Christmas guys
As some have told you this concert was Mikio's last concert with Babymetal and this should be his tribute songs from BM. Since it was released after his passing, there are more shots of him in it and fade to him during the verse of "Not seeing you again" One thing that I'm sure was not intentional is at the end of the song. As the stage turns dark, watch how the lights on Mikio's Kemper Profiler go out one by one and as the last note is hit.. The last light goes out.
I believe, since Su did not know Yui would not return and about the soon upcoming tragedy concerning Mikio, the the direct and/or indirect thoughts and emotions of the lyric with the fact that this is the first time Su as SUMETAL was to perform in her home town of Hiroshima, in a venue only about a block away from the "T "bridge (ground zero of the bomb where so many were lost), that reflections of these facts may have been in her heart and soul causing her to tear.
Absolutely amazing, thank you, guys! So beautiful song and a very impressive performance by the kamis and Su-metal and also the piano and strings live here... She has the ability to break me every time, so emotional. It's just unbelievable!
I don't know how many dozen times i've seen this performance, but the end is always the same. I have tears in my eyes. imo this is a masterpiece in nearly every aspect. songwriting, composing, the setting, the band and of course Su. Her presence, her voice, the guitars/band... Everything is just so well put together and is speaking the language which don't needs words. Emotion!
Just one reason Su is Queen of my soul. Heartbreaking lyrics - "Why was I smiling? Why so though I was feeling lonely? Nobody knows that I really just wanted to see you. That was all. Even the despair becomes the light. Though an endless rain continues to fall. Even the despair becomes the light.A sad rain throws a rainbow even now. An endless rain fills my heart forever." It was a happy occasion in that it was a rare chance for Su to perform in her home town of Hiroshima and on her 20th birthday too ...but very sad too as they'd just learned that Yui would not be returning...and Mikio, the guitarist who really shines here, died about 6 weeks later.
The entire show is an emotional rollercoaster. I hope you both get an opportunity to watch Legend S. you will need the economy sized box of tissues and about a whole day after to recover.
Merry Christmas ☃️🎄 🤘🦊⚡ This song pays homage to X Japan "Endless Rain", it has the same mood. Yes, to play together like Ohmura and Fujioka do here, well it takes more than just skill and they were indeed very, very good friends. 😔
This is my favorite version of NRNR. Su has said this song is what taught her she could reach people on an emotional level. This concert also has my favorite version of Akasuki. Plus it’s the concert where they left Yuis part blank and the fans themselves filled in the best they could
Absolutely Beautiful and Perfect. Su is simply the Queen. Is impossible not cry every time whit this performance. Great reaction guys Merry Christmas!! 🤟🏻🦊🎁🎁
This Live is special for BABYMETAL fans for the following reasons: ・ This Live Concert was a celebration of SU-METAL's 20th birthday. ・ YUI-METAL suddenly became unable to appear due to illness, and instead SU-METAL and MOA-METAL did their best and performed well. ・ It was the last performance before MIKIO of KAMI-BAND passed away due to an accident. Many fans still shed tears when watching this video.
My favorite reaction of yours. I like a lot of your Babymetal and Band-Maid reactions, but I am really happy you connected with this one. The only song more emotional than this performance is the Akatsuki unfinished version. If you don't get the "feels" on these two songs you either aren't "getting it" or you just have a hard heart. Good job on this one guys, I really appreciate it.
I feel you.... Really,I mean it... Thats exactly my reaction first time watch this performance. Then I look up the lyric, and watchit again for a second time, still made my eyes teary. Need a punch in the wall to make me manly again XD
This is especially important concert for Su-metal, triumphal return to Hiroshima where is her hometown. When She left apart from a family to go to Tokyo at the age of 12, She made up her mind not to return to Hiroshima until she became an independent singer. Her dream came true for eight long years, that is why she looks sentimental.
“LEGEND S”~Live at Hiroshima Green Arena 2017 / No Rain,No Rainbow R.I.P. Mikio ✨🦊✨
I have read multiple places that Su made a promise to never cry while on-stage, but there are two times where she either did, or came damn close: This performance, and the unfinished version of "Akatsuki". People say she was crying there because her makeup clearly ran, but I still think it was from sweat and she used a towel before going out for that song. Regardless, this song is very emotional as others have said. Since Mikio was still alive, I can only imagine it was a combination of it being the first concert without Yui as well as the fact that Su has incredibly strong feelings regarding the dropping of the bomb on Hiroshima, her hometown (someone said prefecture, which is correct, but I'm pretty sure she is from the city of Hiroshima as well). I think I read somewhere that one of her grandfathers survived the bombing or something along those lines, so I can imagine it has a deeper meaning in their family.
Most of the key points have been covered alot in the comments bar maybe one. This song is RARELY ever performed. In was on their second album (Metal Resistance) and Su did sing it live 2 or 3 times at most but she felt she did not have the maturity and experience to properly perform it so she CHOOSE to not sing it again until she was more capable. This is the first outing of the song since then and she felt she was now mature enough to properly perform it. This just shows her level of ability that she knew she was not ready, and when she was. This girl has been training since about 6 as a model, singer, actress and dancer so by 20 that is 14 years of professional stage experience. Her voice was now ready as was her own life understanding to give what I consider one of her finest performances.
Su-metal's sad voice and expression, tearful eyes + KAMI’s guitar, drums, piano and violin and even the last lonely light beam shining behind Su-metal, let NO RAIN NO RAINBOW legend S becomes the most perfect version.
I've seen this video many times, and each time it leaves me a wreck. When Su sings "We shall never meet again" and the camera is focused on Mikio, I lose it every time.
Hiroshima is Sumetals home town. We all know what happened there in ww2. That’s where the emotion comes from. Hi his song always brings a tear to my eyes.
Just spotted my typo. This song always brings a tear to my eyes. There are a few songs that make me tear up with this band. Once you’ve been hit by the onion ninjas, there’s no escape.
This has to be the best version of this song. I also tear up almost every time I look at this video. This shows you how powerful Su's voice is. You don't even need to understand the lyrics to feel the full range of emotions just with her signing.
this is the best version of this song very emotional i think this concert was done in her home town and i think also YUI was going to be there but yui doctors said her health was still an issue this is su-metal special day so it would have been awesome if yui could hxave been there.tears tears great song c-ya HAPPY HOLIDAYS GUYS

Waiting for this. Legend S was a special performance - somewhat sad yet inspiring.
Sad it was indeed.
@@dicodec - she's still only 20 here. She's going to murder this in her late 20s and beyond.
I cried with you. I'm not good at English, but I could feel your heart. Thank you.
Thank you so much for watching , it was truly sad
Su's voice was so heartwarming here. You can feel the emotions in her voice as she sings. Looking forward to seeing this! Reminder set!
Yup yup. We definitely felt it in this reaction.
It was definitely emotional! I couldn't hold it together....
Yeah, you know, YAMANAI AME means exactly that, Endless Rain.
I adore this song, I'm having it played at my funeral. I can't recommend this whole show highly enough, you really ought to get the blu-ray, it's an incredible spectacle.
It really is such a great song! We will check out the whole show just take it one song at a time haha.
Ah I see, simply wow!
I've been waiting for your reaction of this song. And thank you guys for yours more than i expected.
Thank you so much for watching!
This performance was absolutely amazing. That sucks about Yui-metal. I think we are going to do that just take it one song at a time.
Last Concert from Mikio, No Yoi there, oh maaaan, so hard, despite the incredible live performance, and the production of this concert is so top notch but it's still felt so sad :(
It was truly amazing!
Don't worry. I heared this song a hundred times and I still forget to breathe every damn time. Only thing i can say is: The day I fell in love with Su... She gives you the voice and the fitting gaze. So bloody perfect and emotional. Greets from germany.
Very well said 👌
Great reaction guys!

Pretty sure Su's harmonizing with herself (backing track). I've seen this video a couple of dozen times and it makes me tear up every single time. Another nice reaction, y'all. 🤘🦊
Thank you for watching! I tear up too every time!
Same here. it hasn't failed to make me cry a single time over the last three years.
😭 Merry Christmas! ❤️

At about the 1:40 mark of the video there is a beautiful shot of Su singing and Mikio playing, this as Su sings the lines
“We shall never meet again,
but I want not to forget you forever.”
Really beautiful
It is very beautiful, super heart felt
Great reaction! Definitely one of my favorite performances. You guys need to check out the intro to that show. Maybe in one of your next twitch streams. It's amazing.

So unfortunate, but they delivered an amazing performance. If you cry though we will cry with you. 🤘🦊😭
And this is the last shot of Mikio Fujioka the guitarist who died by the accident.
We know 😥
I love a good ballad, and I was very happy back then to learn that BABYMETAL excel in that area as well. I think this might have been Su's best performance ever, you cannot put more emotion into a song. The same goes for the guitars, as you pointed out. Your faces at the end speak for themselves.
For sure, this was just so amazing. We cannot wait to dive deep into this song on wednesday!
This song is a masterpiece imo. Pure emotion. Su's performance was on another level too.
She sung her heart out
How can any people still say that Babymetal is a gimmick?

You're gonna hear plenty about this song and concert. It was their first performance without Yui and their last with Mikio. BabyMetal crossed 80's power ballads off their list with this one. BabyMetal certainly broke all the rules. I haven't used the phrase "onion ninjas" for awhile. But with some BabyMetal songs these guys come out in force. 😭😭😭
Keep up the great work.

As has been pointed out, this was Mikio Fujioka's last appearance with BABYMETAL.
They have a close-up on him during this part:
"Nidoto ae-nai kedo, wasure-naide itai yo."
(We shall never meet again, but I want not to forget you forever.)
Mikio passed away on January 5th, 2018, before this video was released.
As far as what Su was thinking, that's hard to know.
Yui was supposed to perform at this concert, but was unable to appear because of (still unspecified) health reasons.
The introduction just before this song refers to to the bombing of Hiroshima, Su's home prefecture, and the location of these two concerts.
DESPAIR 『絶望』
"The bright beam of light
That wiped all light from the world
Also ceased people's light of hope
The skies turned dark
And endless rain fell upon the people
Who had lost all of their light and hope
But endless rain doesn't exist
And the people hope of black skies to clear out
So the heavens can restore the light that had been lost
They hope to discover that there's happiness at the end of sorrow
And they pray for light of hope to return to them."
(This intro was added for these two concerts. That doesn't mean the song was originally written to be about those events, just that they were drawing a connection for these two special shows in Su's home prefecture of Hiroshima.)
The last line of this song is:
"An endless rain fills my heart, forever."
That's considered to be a reference to the X-Japan song 'Endless Rain'.
Oh man, there are so many things about this performance. In the end it was ana amazing performance. Thanks for the insight on that! 🤘🦊

If it was that would be a nice nod to Mikio.
@@dicodec Takayoshi now has has Profiler with all of Mikio's saved settings.
Oh man, so many unfortunate thing about this performance makes it all the more emotional 😭

imo this is a masterpiece in nearly every aspect. songwriting, composing, the setting, the band and of course Su.

Oh man, neither of us really like to get emotional haha. I suppose we can take it one song at a time haha

・ This Live Concert was a celebration of SU-METAL's 20th birthday.
・ YUI-METAL suddenly became unable to appear due to illness, and instead SU-METAL and MOA-METAL did their best and performed well.
・ It was the last performance before MIKIO of KAMI-BAND passed away due to an accident.

She knows how to elicit emotions. Such a clean voice. And the Kami band is just incredible.
Simply amazing!
Oh wow, that is amazing!
That is super deep, I will never forget how moving vinushka was by dir en grey also. About the same thing
Oh wow, that is awesome! Su-Metal really is an amazing performer, singer and all around entertainer!
Su-metal's sad voice and expression, tearful eyes + KAMI’s guitar, drums, piano and violin and even the last lonely light beam shining behind Su-metal, let NO RAIN NO RAINBOW legend S becomes the most perfect version.
Tearing up just responding to these comments, thinking about the song all over again. - Alan

Hiroshima is Sumetals home town. We all know what happened there in ww2. That’s where the emotion comes from. Hi his song always brings a tear to my eyes.
Oh man, you're right. Makes a lot of sense. Makes the song even more emotional.
