i am so grateful for this compilation bc as someone who has binged the entire reddit stories series, scrambling the order of stories successfully convinces my subconscious that im hearing the stories for the first time again.

I always get misty eyed at the guy who fell in love with his trans best friend. The way he writes about her is so sweet. I know the bar is in hell but it’s really nice seeing someone lovingly speak about a woman (esp a trans woman) as a person and not a sexual object or even just an object in relation to them. He really adores her as a person. Hope they have a long healthy relationship

UPDATE for the guy who fell in love with his best friend : the date went well, they kissed, had lots of fun, and now their families are making jokes about when they're getting married. OP said he wanted to ask her to be in a serious relationship, but has not updated since last year, as the post has been archived. Though I think it went well because he teased the update that we never got to see by saying "you're absolutely going to LOVE the new update. I guarantee it." Ps : OP had a few issues with his original post being deleted for no reason, so maybe something similar happened (which could explain the radio silence. I felt like OP was writing the story to be funny intentionally, and as a comedic beat was over the top in describing how well the dinner was going, so when the steak thing hits it hits that much harder
Imagine the window steak guy's plan worked and someone walks the apartment building and sees a raw steak on the floor. Or watches a raw ateak flop out of a third story window. Or even the lady that cooked the steak going on a walk the next morning and finding a slab of meat on the sidewalk. Wild.
My advice for the best friend story, is life's too short to keep feelings that strong to yourself. If they aren't reciprocated that's okay and you can move on from it, however regretting never saying it is way worse

My favorite has, and always will be, the story of the mom setting her son straight and them becoming closer because of it. I'm fuckin tearing up thinking about it. My mom never had the best taste in men. Both my father and step-father cheated on her so she's all I have. I used to be such a brat like that kid and my mom would have none of it. Me and her are so god damn close now. We play D&D together, share our favorite shows with each other, I got her into gaming, and hell we even watch Smosh together. I love that story and it makes me cry every time.
15:42 My parents have this deal: if you invite someone to dinner, you cook. So whenever my dad has a colleague over for dinner, he does his favorite, which is BBQ. Thing is, we eat outside on the veranda, where the bbq is, and my dad cooks while chatting, and since it takes him 10-15 minutes to grill the meat (longer or shorter times dependingon the cut and kind of meat) he has plenty of time to ask the guest(s) how they want their meat cooked. It's a very efficient system which permits some time to get to know each other before everyone settles down to eat and means that not all the cooking has to be finished before guests arrive.
I just wanted to say thank you for posting these videos. As an introvert, I get socially tapped out. And when I do, I come watch you guys. Because we all want that connection, and watching you guys be social without me having to be social also, refills that cup. I can just observe, and laugh. am I the only one who was angry at the garlic bread story 😭 Like yeah it’s funny from an outsider perspective but I totally see where she’s coming from. She’s a teenager looking for her first job! When I was applying for my first job I was TERRIFIED. I needed everything to be perfect, and if something like that happened, I would be so embarrassed. Not to mention, she’s lucky she checked the resume after. Imagine she never double checked the resume, and every single job she applied for didn’t hire her. That would be such a hit to her confidence. Idk, I would be pissed for sure.
i was also angry at that getting a job is already hard enough and now her sister made it a lot more difficult, it might seem funny and all that but work places will see it as childish and wouldn't even consider hiring that person because of it I have two older sisters and I'm the youngest but I would never do anything like that to them, especially because one is an electrical engineer and the other is a special needs teacher

The only thing I dislike about the whole Sarah story is that she goes for the typical insult of "small penis = bad at sex". I never really thought about it much until some people pointed it out to me but there are a lot of people with small penises or even micropenises that don't act like assholes and they usually end up getting hurt or eventually turn into an asshole because they feel insecure about it when everyone uses it as the base for jokes. It sucks since that was such an easy go to that actually managed to get to people that are acting like assholes but at the same time it is still body shaming and I feel bad for the innocent people catching stray shots for something they have no control over

It's not like she actually knows it's big or small, but she knew calling him small would piss him off, and in this context, he's got it coming. Over three days, the sheet was only about 4 inches by 2 inches. Tiny rings, tiny wire. VERY delicate, fiddly work. Then it disappeared off my work table and i found it two days later or what was left of it, in the cat cube with my daughter's cat. I dropped the project, didnt bother trying to repair it, threw away all the extra rings i had made. Too many people are unaware of how sneaky thieving cats can be. Too bad their so stinking cute.
