The best rider ever, wish he would of kept on riding but great respect for his decision to stop. I was at Donnington when they booed him for winning. If they had watched him on the Saturday in the wet at Schwantz Curve, he was the only rider to not drop off the throttle and slide it through the corner. Balls of steel. It was embarrassing for the real GP watchers to hear the crowd boo him. Britain loves you Casey, all the best.
He emigrated to Briton to do his 'road racing apprenticeship ' his 'road racing' (short circuit racing) is a product of GB!! That is strange as it's not usually producing riders of this calibre.
@MrMilan90 Who cares who the best rider is, just enjoy the racing man. it would be pretty dull without Stoner, Lorenzo, Pedrosa and Rossi. Rossi stated in an interview that Stoner is the toughest rival he had encountered in his career.I think the young guns coming through makes for good racing as does some bitter rivalry. just enjoy the racing man and don't be so narrow minded in life. You might actually be a happy person and have a good life!
Not really up to speed are you dude. as M Raddy said he was talking about himself during his sickness when he knew he didn't have the strength to get through the race & would have been a danger to not just himself but to others. He literally had no strength left after each race. I have been through the sickness he went through & only the strongest mentaly come out the other end stronger. Casey did. All the guys who say he wasn't sick, use the eyes in your head. He was freakin' spent post race.
totally a top, top bloke. he gets a lot of bad press for being a moaner. its bullshit. he's a passionate and dedicated rider, serious about winning. and thats what he does. WIN. AWESOME RIDER.
@freshcelery when rossi was 26 he already had 5 motogp titles. he won 3 with a 500ccm honda without any electronics against opponents like gibernau, checa and biaggi. in 2004 he joined yamaha, which was a bad team back then. he won the title in 2004, 2005. stoner is 26 years old now and won 2 motogp titles.
@DontTestTheX Lol I don't think tickets pay Caseys money. He gets paid by Honda, not Dorna or the host track. The interest for Rossi was very big 05 and 06 but I think it really has degraded over the time. I don't see half as many saying "Go vale" on the internet as two years ago. He has allready stopped winning, and I don't think him quitting will affect it as much as ppl may belive.
Enjoyable interview, Stoner did fantastic this past season and his title was well deserved. As far as who is better/who's the best...blah, blah blah. It's a redundant statement- I personally enjoy watching every single rider in any class and in any damn championship as everyone on that track from leader to the lapped rider has more balls than the tiny people posting Rossi is this, Stoner is that. Roll on Laguna Seca, see you there.....
Casey I pretty much agree with you on everything except for that Australian domestic racing cannot provide another world champion without going Europe. Right know I am 16 and have an Australian Formula Xtreme title under my belt and 2 NSW titles. I cannot afford at all to go over to Europe, as it is incredibly expensive to just go over there. I have been given an opportunity however by Paul Edwards, mRRda representative, to ride a 400 this year. It is the closest most competitive racing...
Do there HAVE to be fights about who's a better racer on every MotoGP video?! Learn some respect, people. I'm not really a Stoner fan, but I enjoyed the interview.
I used to hate this guy. But after some tough times with Ducati, he showed some heart.... Then when he called out Valentino lasts year at Jerez while getting an apology from him I decided that he's got some real talent and fight in him... When he's winning I root for him to win by 20 seconds. Just so the other guys will challenge themselves....
I agree with him completely (as far as that is possible) about the changes that need to be made in MotoGP to get it more competitive. Notice how he didn't mention Rossi, but Ducati instead. He's still butthurt or something? Anyway, stay safe and goodluck being a dad!
@dxhumph it is your opinion..i respect that.but Valentino will retire some day(soon enough) and expect someone else to take his place as a motogp God, even if it is Stoner,Lorenzo or someone else.I sure hoped Simoncelli would have been that rider..so sad..
Bring back tobacco sponsors they looked the best and it never affected peoples judgement. I watched f1 for years n I don't smoke b n h jps or Marlboro or anything for that matter
@1775edde No no, the season being offered at the moment is just the off-season (pass) if I'm correct (but please correct me if I'm wrong). Not sure whether it's possible for current non-members to purchase the combined package, but in a little while the 2012 season package will be available for sure.
@1775edde Just wait a moment. For current members it's possible to extend your videopass with a combined package of an off-season and a normal videopass for the 2012 season for €99,95. Shortly after the wintertests it will be possible to purchase your season video pass as well for non-members, in order to become a member. ;) Keep your patience for two months and it should be all fine. :) Regards from Holland.
How Daft!..U do realize that there was Moto GP before Rossi too right? What does rossi have to do with a contract between Stoner and Honda?.....its a company contract, has nothing to do with ticket sales.Oh and FYI,most of the money comes in the form of Sponsors. So the names on stoner s bike and Honda paid for the house.
I'm new to MotoGp, and I was wondering how much money $ would a full season video pass cost. I tried looking at the motogp site but all I found was the price of the Off season video pass.
I do have my favorite pilots, but all of them put it all the way out there and as we have witnessed, some do not live to see the next race. All of the pilots would say be a fan, not a fannatic and don't vent, we are all workign towards the same goal.
That there is to offer, I am learning more and more everyday I race with these guys and although I have not got many sponsors at all offers are coming in know I am beginning to look for them. I am really trying to make my dream a reality, the competitiveness of racing in Australia is not the problem, its the interest in motor sports has gone. I really hope I can find a way over to Europe because I know after the small circuits I race on know, GP tracks will be easy. Stephen Craig #38 :)
Wait, If the sport is as safe as it's ever been now why did you quit again? "I was getting dangerous, it felt like something was going to go wrong." -Casey Stoner.
every day i wake up n just dream of riding a honda rc212v!!and when i look at casey stoner ride it...i just feel as though im ridng it...im sure there r a lot of ppl living a dream through you casey...when i heard your retirement i really felt bad so if you see this msg please come back to motogp n let us all ride together as a family!!!atleast come back 4 the rc212v
@02mhmn Spot on pal. I believe he spent a bit of time a few miles from where I actually live, in Burscough, Lancashire. However, I have to say I'd happily swop house for caravan to get into MotoGP racing:)))!!!
@dxhumph spot on man, i think that people that actually ride motorcycles appreciate all the riders for their skills. sure they might follow one particular rider but have HUGE RESPECT for EVERY rider that lines up on the grid!
I think it is.. it's difficult to see how they could make it safer without harming the sport, I.e. capping power & technology. My only other thought is maybe not allowing particularly young riders to fast track from Moto3 straight to Moto GP. They maybe precocious talents but...250+bhp needs respect, and other riders safety!
@SicSeb Casey actually said in another interview late last year, that it didn't give him any satisfaction at all in seeing Rossi struggling on the Duke. He said he wanted to see Rossi at the pointy end & challenging for the lead as it gave him more satisfaction battling with a more competitive Vale which was a very humble attitude. Cheers buddy! :)
I started watching and keeping up with Motogp before I actually looked at a racer which I liked more then others. The race itself and the bikes are what drew me in, and yes the racers are great, but they are not the entire sport.
"There's only been 2 people that haven't taken the number 1 plate. And i Think it was just because they thought it was unlucky; so this is definitely the way to go" 6 years later and you retired having won any more championships, simply because you couldn't handle the media. Marquez kept the 93 and I think he's been having plenty of fortune
@jerryjoe88 rossi won the title 2004 with yamaha. back then yamaha was like suzuki in 2011. stoner drove in his 6 year season 4 years with ducati. he developed the bike to his own wishes but because of that the bike became undriveable, stoner realized that and went to honda. now rossi should change the 4 year developing of a bike in one season? you also shouldnt forget that rossi broke his shoulder in preseason + his leg in 2010.

I also agree, the best rider of the MotoGP era most cirtainly!! Rossi went to Ducati with Jeremy Burgess and still.... 'failed' #EnoughSaid
He was also elbo scraping and stylishly entertaining before Maquez was even heard of internationally!!!
Casey, come back and teach them how to properly drive a Ducati!!!!
*Pecco Bangnaia has entered the chat*
Don’t make changes on the rules and reduce the electronics - Casey Stoner. Damn right.
Casey is a class act. I love how he gives straight, honest answers.
@MrMilan90 Who cares who the best rider is, just enjoy the racing man. it would be pretty dull without Stoner, Lorenzo, Pedrosa and Rossi. CASEY!!!! (man but screams like girl)
STONER = THE BEST, PERIOD.
Not really up to speed are you dude. as M Raddy said he was talking about himself during his sickness when he knew he didn't have the strength to get through the race & would have been a danger to not just himself but to others. Better then rossi
The title says Stoners? Lol..
totally a top, top bloke. he gets a lot of bad press for being a moaner. its bullshit. he's a passionate and dedicated rider, serious about winning. and thats what he does. WIN. AWESOME RIDER.

This is an intelligent young man.

Right, I'm off to buy a CB1000R.
Bring back tobacco sponsors they looked the best and it never affected peoples judgement. I watched f1 for years n I don't smoke b n h jps or Marlboro or anything for that matter
does anyone has the mp3 for this kind of video intro? i mean the motorcycle sound, that's super cool. inform me pls if any of you guys have :)
@tyrekickingwetdreame Rossi wouldn't know what to do with Adriana. The only point of entry he knows to use isn't going to make anyone pregnant!
Great interview Casy Thanks for taking the time mate
!
@frenchwv Well that sucks xD. I checked it yesterday and it only showed the price of the Offseason. Anyways, thanks for the help bro.
CB1000r, a Montesa trials bike, some dirtbikes. I'd like to see a vid w/ Sto on board on them. (especially on the trials bike).
@OdrikT800 Yeah, you still can't deny Stoner is an all time great, even though Rossi's record is seemingly out of reach.
@1775edde Check the MotoGP website again. I noticed they have the full season for sale on there now for 99.95 euros.
@nitroboost8765 I dont hate them,he first attacked me and my people...Thats why I hate this user freshcelery...
Casey seems super uptight / awkward, but he is a machine on that machine.
some answer on that rossi question...Never said his name once....smh
@MrMilan90 If you hate Stoner so much why do watch and troll every Stoner video on youtube?
good answers, stoner doesnt reply to questions like the other riders who basically repeat themselves everytime they talk, hes an honest man
Horrible interviewer. Mumbling far from the microphone. Spoiled the whole thing.
Rossi's popularity paid for that house. Sorry Casey. No Rossi = No ticket sales
Stoner Rocks....just wish he would stick to the # 27 plate!
@charmyRO but rossis also doin the same. they're talkin bout stoner.
just a week left for casey to debut with no.1 plate on the new bike.
@Bandit12SS Ohh so the season being offered right now is the 2011?
@gixxerbones Cause he is jealous on Rossi thats why he is sad...
I would for rossi and stoner to be on a Honda who would take it ?
@gixxerbones Cause he does not deserve attention...
casey was the only one that made the ducati work in that era even rossi failed miserably and one of the few that retired world champion
watta fucking house?!?!?!?!!? O_o" astonishing...
Hell Yeah, He answered my question (whats your favourite colour) :D
hes correct on that on what should motogp do to be competitive
casey stoner is the best
Meglio 1 Gp da Rossi che 1000 da Stoner ...
@HERMANN354 they fill "THE KING IS DEAD"
rossi cant come back sorry the truth hurts
george asimis lol you were wrong
@OdrikT800 I agree with you 10000 %....

nice comments casey. best feeling in the world as a father. hope you have time to enjoy the moments. miss you on the ducati

@DontTestTheX you are so right, everybody go to motogp races to see rossi, 99% the 1% less to the other pilots
@Smashy1337 Agree 100%

An Australian with no favourite beer, WTF!
MaggotDiggo1 telling which his favorite beer would be free advertising, that wouldnt be smart
@gixxerbones I cannot watch motogp If I dont have favorite rider :) so when Rossi says goodbye to MotoGP career, I will stop watching MotoGP...
@TheCrazyFreak
@02mhmn Spot on pal. I believe he spent a bit of time a few miles from where I actually live, in Burscough, Lancashire. However, I have to say I'd happily swop house for caravan to get into MotoGP racing:)))!!!
@gixxerbones You can see that tears when he look at Rossi and remember he will always be jealous on the best rider of all time...
ducati;rossi
@yafu123 thats his house!! theres another version of this interview and he they asked him how he liked living in that house
@dxhumph spot on man, i think that people that actually ride motorcycles appreciate all the riders for their skills. sure they might follow one particular rider but have HUGE RESPECT for EVERY rider that lines up on the grid!
Was this filmed before Simoncelli..2011?
'MotoGP safer than ever'
+waynester71 motogp is safe. and 58 is not.
tell me what regulations changes to improve riders safety after sepang 2011?
I was quoting 'MotoGP safer than ever' so therefore a question.. So you tell me!
waynester71 what is wrong with that? indeed motogp safer than ever.
I think it is.. it's difficult to see how they could make it safer without harming the sport, I.e. capping power & technology.
My only other thought is maybe not allowing particularly young riders to fast track from Moto3 straight to Moto GP. They maybe precocious talents but...250+bhp needs respect, and other riders safety!
waynester71 well, this video made in 2011. So its all fine then.
sorry i dont remember what the other one is,, but im pretty sure it was on the MotoGp website :)
@SicSeb Casey actually said in another interview late last year, that it didn't give him any satisfaction at all in seeing Rossi struggling on the Duke. Interesting to hear some of his comments on making MotoGP more competitive
kool
@wkmitchell Tamworth? what you been smoking dude!!! that's Switzerland where he lives!!!
I started watching and keeping up with Motogp before I actually looked at a racer which I liked more then others. The race itself and the bikes are what drew me in, and yes the racers are great, but they are not the entire sport.
Stoner has got turn 3 at Phillip Island named after him it's called, Stoner Corner
"There's only been 2 people that haven't taken the number 1 plate. And i Think it was just because they thought it was unlucky; so this is definitely the way to go"
6 years later and you retired having won any more championships, simply because you couldn't handle the media.

@wkmitchell Thank you for pointing that out =)
Hopefully we'll be having a competitive MotoGP season and above all, a safe one ^^
2011 was the best year in Stoner's career. So try to enjoy now. cos you have tough task in 2012 cos Rossi will be back in front!
Batman Fanatic LOOOOL, looks like you're wrong buddy.
I love the last question and how he answers with "For Ducati's sake"- missing out VR. Clever guy...
Casey! What a champion. Really amazing to watch him ride even if your'e not his biggest fan.
Me: corporate sponsorship is evil
Stoner: I own a CB1000R
Me: *walks to dealership, buys red bull even though I hate it*
@lMisterMeaner Haha keep on dreaming buddy....maybe in WSBK
@MrMilan90 I can see the tears rolling down his face in this interview!!!!
damn look at the reflection of the glass window .. AWESOME MOUNTAINS !!
@yafu123 Yep, that's Tamworth for ya :) Beautiful country.
That sound when she asks a new question is so irritating.
One of the greats and used the electronics the least of all modern rider. Legend.
Great interview of a great rider and a great aussie.
El mejor del mundo por lejos!!
Bye Casey don't come back
